going to the ballet

I love love loooove this colour! Im a huge fan of dark or bright colours, but with work im unable to express my self :( Ballet slippers gives me the light natural colour shade and goes highly unoticed by my bosses! (hopefully they will not read this lol)

I find you do have to apply a generous amount, on a high note, a mistake can go missed.

The downside, is i literally have to sit there and do nothing for atleast a good half an hour to avoid ruining the polish, so i think some quick dry spray is needed.

Overall i will continue to use this product.

Tips: A good buff beforehand helps the polish to stick. Let your colour dry a tad before applying your top coat, this avoids colour streaking and a faster drying time.

The perfect neutral pink!

I have a few of Essie's bright colours in my polish collection but after trying this I can see why people rave about this neutral colour. It is a 'your nails, but better' colour. It makes your nails look really healthy and polished due to the slightly glossy finish. It would be perfect for job interviews, weddings or any time a neutral nail colour is needed.

Like all Essie polishes it is DBP, Toluene and Formaldehyde free and goes on like a dream. With this particular colour you do need a few coats to get the perfect colour as it is a light formula and can look a bit streaky. I also found that it can take awhile to dry completely so just allow a bit of time or use a fast dry top coat.

I have found that it stayed on my nails well (with a top coat) and didn't chip easily, I was very impressed with this polish and will continue to have this staple colour in my collection for many years to come.

Tips: Use three coats to get the best colour and make sure it is streak free.

White is the New Black

I've loved the white nail trend I've been seeing all over the red carpets lately, and this nail-polish lets me achieve my own sophisticated look from the comfort of my own home!! The polish is quite sheer in texture, requiring two to three coats to really build to an opaque (almost twink-like) white. I'd avoid going much over this, because it does get awfully thick (and very stubborn about drying) when you apply too much. The brush is a lovely paddle-shape, which spreads to cover a lot of area very easily. Altogether, a really lovely polish with a lovely smooth finish, and a great way to stay on-trend, right down to the colour of your nails!!

Tips: Use a base and top coat for a smooth, shiny finish. Apply 2-3 coats to get an opaque white, but avoid going over this as the polish becomes thick and difficult to set!

DEEP ARUBA

I think essie is a good brand but i didn't like how clumpy my polish got after the first few uses. maybe i didn't keep it in the right temp or something but deffinately didn't have a long shelf life for me. The color on the other hand is right up my alley. a nice blue but at the same time a bit shiny!

Sheer white polish

I was disappointed in this as I saw pics of it which appeared opaque and streak free. They must've used 10 layers! I've only achieved an opaque look with at least 3 coats but it's still looked streaky. I'm not a fan of its formula at all, very watery, streaky and sheer. Makes application a nightmare. This is the only Essie polish I've tried, I'm a little hesitant to buy any more based on this polish sadly.

Oh so chic!

I love essie polishes, and this colour is no exception. A very chic, light pink as the name 'ballet slippers' suggests. True, you do need to apply several coats to get a nice finish but it's oh-so-worth it! This colour is very suitable for women who like to wear nail polish to work, but have a job where deep or bright colours are frowned upon. Gives your nails a 'finished' appearance without looking like you tired too hard. A staple in my collection.

Tips: Apply a fast-drying top coat to extend wear time.

Beautiful Blue

This colour is probably one of the most gorgeous nail polishes I own. It is a really pretty royal blue with a gorgeous shine.

The brush is quite wide and dense which I found really good and it made application quite a bit easier than other nail polishes I own.

Once I had applied only 1 coat it was almost a blueish-green colour, and I was feeling pretty disappointed that it looked nothing like the colour in the bottle, but with one more layer it was the exact colour as the bottle portrayed and super super vibrant! I was inlove. It then dried super fast too, and I had no problem with it smudging or getting indents or getting ruined on my nails like I generally do!

It lasts very well also, the first sign of tiny chips I noticed was after 3 days of wear, until then there was no chipping, peeling or anything. I was so surprised and it lasts better than any other higher end nail polish i've ever tried, such as OPI or Orly.

Overall I am extremely impressed with both the colour and the lasting power. I've never had a nail polish that I've loved so much and that has ticked all the boxes for me. I'll definitely be wearing this all the time!

Tips: If you get any nail polish on your cuticle areas, just wait until the nail polish is 100% dry on your nails and then have a hot/warm shower, the nail polish will come off your skin soooo easily! :)

Really Nice Nail Polish

This Nail Polish is a fantastic colour and I received many compliments on it. I haven't used a polish with a rounded brush before and it was great. It made it so much easier to apply and get a great look. I applied two coats and got a really nice finish. I will definitely be using this one again.

Tips: Make sure the brush is around the right way it makes it so much easier to apply.

Wonder if I just got an odd brush as I found it to be too wide and thick to get a good coat

Aruba Blue

Just got this in the mail and tried it straight away. It was okay, def nothing fabulous but a fantastic colour. Will see in a few days whether it holds up well, so far it seems okay, except for the fact that even after two coats its not really popping much.

Tips: Maybe try more than two coats

It's a shame that you felt that it didn't "pop" after two coats :( I think it's an amazing colour and found it to be super vibrant after just two coats!

Essie - Aruba Blue

Wow what a colour, I popped this on Saturday morning and its still vibrant 3 days on, no sign of chipping or flaking. The only draw back was the size of the brush for application, its wider than normal which for me with rather small nails found a bit tricky to get neatly on, but nothing a trusty cotton bud soaked in remover couldn't fix. Would be buying this again for sure, it is as stated a vacation in a bottle, as the blue has an almost sparkle to it which reminds me of ocean views with the sun bouncing off it.

Tips: Keep a few cotton buds and remover close if your nails are on the smaller size as the brush is wide for application and you'll need to do quick repairs to the edges for a neat look :)

I agree - the brush is huge! It's too big to apply it without making a mess, but the colour is so fantastic that it's worth it.
