Smooth and pretty, but can get shiny

I love this foundation in the cooler months - it makes your skin look smooth and perfect. In the warmer weather however, I find that it can look oily very quickly, which is a shame. The colour variety is extensive, which is great.

Tips: Apply with a sponge for a smooth finish.

Good foundation

Great coverage, pretty good shade selection but the colour w5 was a bit too orange on me. It goes on quite nicely and looks really natural. Easy to blend and i'd say it is medium coverage. It does rub off fairly easily though. The oil control is pretty good and keeps me matte for around 4 hours.

True match, too much hype

I purchased True Match with high expectations that it would fulfill all my foundation needs and dreams. But it did end up not being worth the hype. I apply with a flat top kabuki brush and a beauty blender.

Pros: Pump bottle, always a plus to get the perfect amount. Full coverage and even consistency. Super bendable. Lovely finish, glowing and radiant.

Cons: Only one con but a deal breaker for me. Rests in the creases on my face; in between my eyebrows and on nose creases from my day to day facial expressions. I have tried different primers and finishing powders but find this happens no matter what. (if anyone has any tips to get rid of this I'll be forever greatful)

L'oreal Super blendable great match!

I'm not a big fan of L'oreal as I never feel happy with any of there products there's always something wrong and they do use a lot of chemicals and the colours are never right on me but this is one foundation that actually seems ok. It has a nice natural finish, it's light to medium coverage, it gives good hydration and lasts quite well. It did start to get a bit shiny and also the colour didn't look so great after a few hours it seemed to oxidize slightly. It still looked nice though somehow. Probably almost a perfect finish. I applied with a flat sponge I bought it in rose beige for neutral skin

L'oreal True Match - Blends Beautifully Into Skin

I've been using this over the last couple of months. I didn't really expect to like it as much but 2.5W Golden Almond blends so well and disappears into my skin. I like how natural the finish looks. I didn't have any problems with caking, but then I tend to go for more medium to more sheer coverage. With primer and setting spray it looked good for about 6-8 hours before wearing off slightly. It didn't feel heavy on my skin either. Now for the skin benefits I didn't notice any resultant skin improvements from this foundation. And don't rely on my foundation to improve my skin anyways. I would recommend this foundation for anyone that wants a natural looking foundation at an affordable price.

Changed my mind on this one

Have been wearing this foundation for about a month now and need to update my review as it is no longer working for me. I LOVED this foundation to start off with, recently switched to it thanks to a friend's recommendation. However, I'm not so sure about it now, it tends to get really chalky and patchy over the course of the day and I have quite a busy job so don't have time for makeup touch-ups 3 times a day! The formula is quite runny so it spreads well and I don't need too much of it. It tends to dry quite quickly which is awesome for rushed mornings. You can also build coverage, I find that 3 pumps is usually enough to cover my whole face the way I like it. The packaging is great, I like the pump as it is easy to control the amount you get out of it. I love that its super-blendable, I think I bought a shade that is a touch too dark which is fine at the start of the day but when it gets patchy it looks awful. Will keep this bottle to use occasionally but will not purchase again

Tips: I use a Real Techniques Your Base/Flawless brush to apply.

True colour match

I'm on a mission to find that perfect foundation and I am getting rather annoyed with half bottles and trying every brand that is readily available. For years, before my skin was dry and manky and with the added bonus of lines I went through bottle after bottle of L'Oreal infallible. So was more than excited to try this one. I have W4 natural beige.

The bottle is a little 30ml with a screw top lid. It has no pump just a big opening where the foundation comes out (rather fast too)

One thing I really liked about this foundation is it has an SPF 17, we all know the effects the sun has on our skin so the more creams and foundations we put on ourselves with an SPF in it the better.

The foundation itself is really runny. It almost runs off the back of my hand while I'm trying to apply it. I apply it using a brush then a blender and it looks good it has a light to medium coverage but I can't build it up anymore otherwise it gets far too cakey, which is my problem with this foundation its cakey and settles in lines with only a light amount of it on my skin. And I can promise I have tried different bases, no base, just moisturiser and nothing works. I never use a setting powder because it makes my skin look even more dry so i need a dewy or satin finish foundation and this definitely leans towards a matte finish.

This is beyond disappointing because the colour is perfect and matches my skin perfectly and as well as that it goes on and stays on I do get 6-7 hours wear out of it and it doesn't change or move but it is easy to remove with make up remover. I really think this would be a great foundation if you have young normal skin with no lines. And with that my search still continues....

It's alright

When I first tried this foundation I thought it was great, the colour matched my skin tone really well, it blended into my skin, it wasn't as full coverage as I would have liked but it is quite buildable so that was easily fixed. What I didn't like was that after about half an hour or so the foundation starts to turn orange.

Not quite right for my skin type

I bought this foundation from one of those makeup sale websites. I think I paid around $15 which is a pretty good price compared to NZ retail! My bottle is a bit different to the pic though. It's a small glass bottle with no pump, it just has a screw top lid. It still has 30mls even though the bottle looks really small. I do really prefer pumps though, it's way better to control how much foundation comes out.

I have the shade natural buff, it says it's a neutral tone but it does come off quite yellow. It's slightly too dark for me but nothing major. Unfortunately, I do notice it oxidizing slightly throughout the day. Although this foundation is quite thin, it is very pigmented and gives a medium to full coverage. It does have quite a scent, sort of a typical makeup scent with maybe a touch of chemicals? I don't really notice it though.

I have very dry skin, I don't actually typically go for more fuller coverage foundations. Generally the heavier the coverage, the heavier the caking! This actually isn't so bad though. I think it looks incredible when I first apply it. It covers most of my flaws and really looks even. It is super easy to blend like it says, I like to use a sponge because I have dry skin. During the day, I do notice some slight wear and of course the annoying oxidizing. But, of all the foundations I've tried, it's no where near the worst.

I don't think this could be an everyday sort of foundation for me, I definitely prefer something lighter. I do think that it is perfect for a night out or just for a short while. I do think if I did ever buy it again, I'd go two shades lighter than this one, maybe that would work out better.

Settles into fine lines

I love trying out new foundation.  I picked this up on sale for $15 which is a great price. It comes in a sturdy glass bottle with a pump. Woohoo I love a pump on my foundation! I got the shade W2 light ivory which was not a bad match for me.

Consistency wise it is quite runny. A little bit definitely goes a long way. I have dry skin so I make sure to prep my face well or it can go a bit cakey, I like to apply using my RT sponge.

It covers my redness well and any tiny spots but it won't really hide any mega pimples lol but then again does anything do that?! My one negative is it settles into my fine lines a little bit and sometimes sits weird on my pores.

For this reason I would not buy it again as I have other foundations which suit my skin better. I will probably use up the rest of it but it is not something I reach for each day.
