This foundation was my Holy Grail for 'night out' makeup for maybe a year or more!! I have really oily skin and it just did NOT do the job for me during the day when i wanted minimal makeup as it would totally melt off my face, but it is a totally different story during nights out when i am wearing a full face of makeup!! As long as i use my beauty blender to apply it and have multiple different layers of makeup on (foundation, concealer, BAKING) then it stayed put all through the night. It also seems to have minimal flashback :)

Tips: If you have oiy skin like me, definitely use a beauty sponge to apply, and make sure you bake with powder! The oils will not come through as much if you bake
As I am so pale I struggle to find foundation light enough for my skin but it does not last long on my oily skin and makes me personally look a bit dull.
I find it difficult to find the right shade of make up for my rather fair skin tone however I have finally found one that is a) not too dark for my skin and b) that actually sits well and lasts all day on my skin. I have been using Nars Sheer Glow for a good couple of years now and love it every time. I love the consistency - its not too thick or too runny, and it is very build-able so I can wear it light or build it up more medium-full coverage when i need to. Although it is a more expensive foundation I have found that the bottles of foundation last me ages!
Tips: It is great to use with a beauty blender.
I have been using this foundation for years now and it never fails me.
The range of colours is good, especially for those who have lighter toned skin and is worth every cent,
This foundation has never failed me. It works perfectly for day, but can be built up for a flawless evening look. I have never had any primers that haven't worked with it either!
This foundation lasts all day, it can wear off around contact points on the face but never gets oily and doesn't sit in any lines on your face and has never oxidised on me - all round amazing
It is slightly on the pricier side, but worth it. One bottle lasts around 4-5 months, and that is with everyday use.
Tips: Use a good primer, applies good with a brush or sponge - I think the sponge looks better
This foundation is sooo worth the hype! Although it is called sheer glow I don't think there's anything sheer about it, it can be built up to a beautiful full coverage finish. Although glowy it stays all day on my face and doesn't look oily by the end of the day, keep in mind I have dry skin. I wouldn't recommend to those of you with oily skin as you may look like you've dipped your face in oil by the end of the day.
Tips: Apply with a sponge for a sheer look and work in with a brush for a fuller coverage.
This foundation is my absolute holy grail!! Having dry skin with an oily nose I find it difficult to find a foundation that doesn't irritate my skin or make it look too dewy. But Nars Sheer Glow is perfect, it creates an even skin tone and has buildable coverage (perfect for red blotchy areas). The finish looks like a second skin and gives a healthy looking glow which remains consistent throughout the day. Even though this foundation is quite pricey I feel as if it is worth every dollar due to the number of compliments I have received on my skin looking so nice when wearing this foundation. :)
Tips: If you tend to get oily in certain areas it helps to use powder with this foundation. I like to apply it to my face with a foundation brush to spread the product evenly and then pat it in with a damp makeup sponge for a perfect application.
As an avid fan of matte foundation, sheer glow foundation was my first venture into the ‘dewy skin’ look, and I absolutely loved it! The foundation itself is very lightweight on the skin and provides a natural radiant glow. I would say it has a medium to full coverage and is very buildable. I use a damp beauty blender with this foundation and it blends seamlessly into my skin, without looking cakey. I have combination skin and it lasts well on me throughout the day. I would 100% recommend this foundation to anyone who is after a natural glowy look!
Tips: If you get quite oily during the day I recommend using a setting powder over this foundation or even ‘baking’ the foundation in the areas you usually get oily. Setting spray will ensure the foundation stays on longer throughout the day also!
Out of all the foundations that I have used in the past, this has to be my favourite foundation. One bottle lasts you a long period, as you only need a little every time. Normally I have dry skin (sometimes combination) and I am always looking for a dewy (but not oily looking) foundation that is lightweight to wear throughout the day. This foundation seems to tick all the boxes. It is light to medium coverage, very buildable and lasts most of the day for me. I have received many compliments on how natural it looks.
Tips: In my experience, beauty blender/sponge works best with the foundation. Make sure to set with a powder if you have oily T-zone.
This foundation is one in a million for me, I'm on my fourth bottle in the past 4-5 years! I have normal/combination skin but I suffer with with quite bad redness. With most foundations I find that they all look quire cakey on my skin due to my redness but with this one it doesn't. I only need to use a little bit to cover up my redness, it is light weight and goes on the skin smoothly. I use this with the Laura Mercier Radiance Foundation Primer as I like a dewy finish and this works great with it.
This foundation lasts on my skin for up to 5-8 hours without smudging, I used it for both of my school balls and it worked amazing!! I would recommend this foundation for anyone who wants a light-medium coverage and a natural look. Although this foundation is quite buildable.
Tips: Works best with a primer, application is done nicely with a beauty sponge.
This foundation is one of my absolute favourites both in terms of coverage and colour. For me, it builds beautifully to a medium coverage which can hide most of my redness and acne scars. The foundation does, however, allow for my natural skin texture to peak through, which I actually like.
Personally, I feel that this foundation is best applied with either fingers or a damp sponge. When blended with fingers it leaves a soft satin finish. However, when used with a damp sponge it truly lives up to its name ‘sheer glow’.
Shade wise I think Nars has a fairly good selection. Generally, I struggle to find foundations that cater to my ultra fair skin tone. However, the shade Siberia is a perfect match as it is very fair with warm/yellow undertones.
Tips: I leave the foundation for a few minutes before applying pressed powder so that it doesn't look cakey.
