I was very grateful when a lovey BR beauty gave me one of these as I love trying out new products.
They come in a small tube with an elegant looking lid and writing.
I have the purple (anti aging) primer. The consistency is thin but not too runny and a shade of medium brown. I personally feel that there is no scent.
To use I simply dab a very small amount onto my eyelids and gently rub across and let dry which is a matter of seconds, then I apply my eyeshadows like normal.
I have found that my eyeshadow last all day long and into the evening which is great but I also personally feel like there is no huge difference between this primer and one of my cheaper primers as they both do the same job in keeping my eyeshadow in place.
I would recommend this primer but I won't be purchasing it for the reason above, my cheaper primer does the same trick ;-) but I have nothing negative to say about this product though.
It's ridiculous how you can go for so long blissfully unaware of a product, then buy it, and within weeks be unable to live without it.... this is one of those products.
It hit my radar after reading the lovely k3r1pakai's review, and when I was in mecca Maxima last month and found myself at the Urban Decay counter, I had to have one. After a quick chat with the shop assistant, I decided to opt for Eden, which is a bit of a multi-use product, hiding redness, mattifying lids and drying to a nude matte that it perfectly wearable with or without shadow over the top.
This Urban Decay Primer Potions comes in a funky little tube, with a pointed, jewel faceted cap housing the applicator, which is a long sponge tip that resembles a lipgloss applicator. I *never* use this for application though - either I use it to apply a little to a clean fingertip and use that, or I use a concealer brush.
This potion creates the perfect surface for eye makeup by taking out the 'unique' colours of my own eyelids, and drying up any oil etc that may affect application. Shadow goes where it should, looks brighter, and stays on longer by far. It really is magical!
What's more, you use so little that the 10 ml tube seems like it will last way longer than the 6 months they suggest that you use it inside of.
Removal is easy enough, with your usual eye make up remover of choice - you might just need a little more to shift it all off your eyes :)
Tips: Explore the 4 varieties to find which one is best for you! (They're all pretty amazing though, so you can't really go wrong!)
