Amazing!

I get horrible period pain, and this is sooo good, really expensive though, it think it was $7? And they only include 2 so they aren't very cheap but great when on the run or need quick pain relief, and heats up fast, doesn't get too hot and nice when you are really sore!

Tips: Make sure you aren't too rough with it, because it would tear and its not nice when it does tear (experienced myself) I think they should make them a bit sturdier, but overall great :)

Hands free relief

What a fantastic idea! Though it took a little while for it to get to a helpful temperature once there my pain has eased. I can get up and make a cup of tea without having to lose the soothing heat (when having to put the hot water bottle down) and it has left my hands free to type up this review (as well as do some pre-term planning). Awesome! My only wish would be for it to be a little longer to cover a bigger area.

Tips: You need to stretch it tight so that there is a constant pressure against your skin in order to get the best effect - or if on your back, use the back rest to apply pressure.

Libra Hotties Heat Patches

I strained by shoulder muscles and was so excited to see these in the supermarket as I thought wow this might ease my pain as heat was one of the only things that gave my shoulder some comfort. UNFORTUNATELY I was sadly disappointed it hardly heated up at all and it felt really odd on my skin - I was really upset. I am just glad that I purchased them when they were on sale so I didn't waste too much money.

Good idea... But..

I was so excited to try these... But they didn't live up to my expectations! They didn't really get hot enough for me. But i did like that i could wear it at school... Rather than carry around a hot water bottle! And no one could tell. It was better than having no heat on my stomach during school hours.

Great Concept

I received these as a sample , and was pretty excited to try them as suffer from quite awful period pain . Although they arent as good as the tried and trusted hot water bottle ; they are a great alternative . They heat up to a pleasant warmth , and stay in place once applied . I found it great to use while working and would definitely buy again .

Perfect!

I've had them in the cupboard for a while but hadn't used them until the other day when I got the most wicked period pain I've ever had. It was so easy to apply, just pull off the backing, stick and go. It stayed warm for a long time and even felt quite hot which is probably why my cat decided to lay on me and curl up for a nap. I don't think these would be good price wise if you suffer from period pain all the time but I think it's a great idea when going to work or anywhere when you need something just a little extra. Great idea!

Meh

I get terrible back and period pain, I decided I'd try it as I'd heard about it on the radio. First of all, the price was at least $6.50 for 2 from Countdown. I applied the first when I was having bad back pain, I placed it on my back, but found the sticky hurt when I moved, making it hard to bend over. I got used to the heat, so only felt the heat when I put my hand under the pad. I personally don't think the pad worked for me... I'd perfer medication and my big wheatpad. Its good if you're on the go, and heat works for you... If not save your money!

$6.50 for 2? Thats a bit much. I was thinking of using them as I get wicked period pain but Nurofen is a much cheaper option I think. Thanks for including the price

Hotties

I received a bunch of these in a sample trial so thought I would give them a go. I get horrible period pains so they didn't really help all that much, but it was a nice distraction. I usually find a hot water bottle works best, as these are very small. Very cute idea though and probably good for people at work during the day

soooo

There really small lol, and don't seem to heat up much at all. I prefer my good old hot water bottle, and as an added bonus its reusable! I was super disapointed with this product.

Tips: For around the same price you can get a hot water bottle.

Good in a pinch

I have an active job where I have very little time to sit down so I saw these as a good alternative as I can't walk around clutching a hot water bottle. On the upside, they are discrete, so no-one need know you're suffering during that time of the month. I put mine on my lower back and I could tell straight away that the sticking power wasn't the best. I had some medical adhesive tape so I used that to adhere the patch to my skin and it stayed in place for approx 8 hours with no issues. The heat was not enough to relieve my pain per se, although it was more of a reassuring heat, like a warm hug :) I wound buy these again in a pinch when my pains were bad and I had to go to work. They may be very helpful for young girls just starting their monthly, as it is a comforting product.

Tips: Use extra wound dressing tape from the chemist to secure the patch in place.
