Gar don't you hate it when you fall in love with an expensive product?!
Now I know people give pottles a bad rep for being unhygienic, but they never really bother me. I moisturise after I've had a shower, so I figure my fingers are clean. And it's not like I invite all and sundry to jab their dirty fingers in it, so me and the pottle are good.
What gorgeous packaging. The box is pure quality (I'm not a fan of extra packaging, but this was a delight to receive so I won't moan). The container is luxury. Heavy, sturdy, with a blinging faceted top. But it's not about the bling, the bling, the bling, it's about the product.
Which is blinging. Erm hello, it contains real gold. GOLD. (did you sing that Spandau Ballet stylie?!) The cream looks like a biege tinted moisturiser and it smells so fresh. Like cucumbers. It's a lotion consistency. It applies beautifully, absorbs quickly, the smell lasts a wee while, but it's not an annoying smell.
I have combo skin, oily t zone, dry cheeks/forehead. This product left my skin feeling smooth, soft and even, oily patches were de-oiled, dry patches were moisturised.
Now there's a lot science-y / marketing talk attached to this product, so let's cut to the chase. If I use it morning and night it's going to make my skin luminous and it's going to improve my skin cell production, meaning I should look glowy and youthful after 9 days.
And I do. Seriously. I wish I'd taken before and after photos. I'm prone to sallow skin and dull skin, I usually rely on makeup to give me a glow, but on makeup free days I'm looking fresh and have a nice glow. Not a shine, definitely important to mention that this doesn't make you shiny!
The only reason I marked this down slightly was the price. There's not a huge amount of product for the price tag (well it does contain gold...) and to be fair, a combined 'day and night cream' is essentially just a moisturiser.
But I will definitely be checking out more of the range and yes, I'll probably be picking up another one of these. And hiding the receipt.
I am also very sceptical about anti aging products, especially ones that are called eternal youth :P but I was presently surprised.
The packaging is awesome, looks great on my dresser which is always an added bonus, and the cream itself smells amazing.
My skin is usually normal, but I sometimes struggle with heavy creams which this appeared to be. Once it went on though, it was great, and it didn't make my skin oily and didn't feel heavy at all.
Liquid make up blends amazing over it, and I loved the fact that it is a night and day cream, as it can be hard to come across a good one.
It definitely makes the skin look instantly luminous, I was really really impressed by this and am even comfortable not wearing any foundation when I have put this on because it makes my skin look so good.
Am yet to see the long term brightness, hence the 4 stars, but I am confident based on the instant brightness that this will come!
I really loved this product and because it goes so far I will be prepared to pay the $75 for some more
Tips: - when using under makeup make sure you let it soak in properly before applying - the instructions say to use a generous amount but you only need a little!
