As I’m quite pale, well porcelain really I have to have the lightest of light in foundations. I find that blushes and bronzers can be too strong and even light coverage turns me into a Raggedy Ann Doll with the shiny rosy apple cheeks. Not my kind of look at all!!
I have always used a soft chocolate bronzer as it blended so well into my colourings, but grew bored and with my recent discovered love for all things Too Faced, the Snow Bunny name just had me, it looked so cute in its mock gold compact, with embossed detailing on its lid it screamed “buy me” seeing that it was all pale tones of shimmering bronzes I thought it would be great for me. I wasn’t wrong it is lovely; it’s a cross between a highlighter/blush and bronzer.
It comes in a pretty compact as I mentioned, with a built in mirror and deep seated powder which is a selection of four different coloured shimmers with a strip of pink, beige/white, milk chocolate and white. Swirling you bronzer brush through them and swiping over your cheeks leaves a glowing, slight blush/bronzer effect that resembles a soft sheen highlighter. Slightly glittery from the shimmer but not noticeable unless really close up.
I do wear this an everyday bronzer as it’s so subtle and lasts all day, it doesn’t rub off or transfer onto your clothes throughout the day and it also doesn’t leave a huge mess over you makeup table, bed or bathroom counter wherever you apply makeup as the powder is deep set into the compact, even the most aggressive brushing doesn’t see it spread everywhere which means no loss of product.
I’m not going to lie, this bronzer was not made for dark skin. And to be honest, I had a feeling that would be the case before I brought it, however I was convinced I could make it work and was lucky enough when I was gifted this as part of a palette, and then I have also recently brought this in the too faced bronzer wardrobe palette.
This bronzer is pretty, and reminds me of Neapolitan ice cream because of its beautiful stripes which are coloured white, brown, pink & beige. I don’t use the colours separately, I just swirl my brush over all the colours which create a beautiful luminous glow, with a slight tint of pigmentation.
When I hear the word bronzer, I automatically link it to contouring, and do not think about all over face bronzers, until it comes to this product. Clearly this product is too light to add pigmentation to my skin tone. However, it does add a luminous glow which looks gorgeous as a highlight, over blushes and on the point of my face where the sun hits because it adds the glowy look, without being flecked with big chunks of glitter.
I really like this bronzer, but not as a bronzer. I like it more as a highlighter, or a blush topper. But each to their own, clearly if you have skin like mine, that’s the only way it can really be used, however if you have fair skin this bronzer will give you more bang for your buck.
