Clinique Chubby Lash Fattening Mascara Review

I've tried Clinique's High Impact mascara before and loved it so had high hopes for the Chubby Lash fattening mascara. The wide wand is straight and thick and boasts many short, fairly uniform bristles which gave me high hopes for fat lashes.

Unfortunately, every time I go to apply this mascara I end up stabbing myself in the eye! Something about this wand design gets me if I try to apply it from the lashline to tip. When I do apply it along the length of the lashes the formula glides on easily and I am left with nice volume.

Because of the number of times I ended up poking myself in the eye using this, I didn't end up getting the full use of the mascara and wouldn't repurchase. With the use I found it does okay but for the price point there are many other mascaras less or a tad more that I would recommend over Chubby lash.

I thought I'd give this one a try - I've had good experiences with Clinique mascaras, and liked the idea of the 'chubby' format.

The mascara is ok, it goes on well and lasts. I don't get raccoon eyes from it when it's warm out, it stays put. It's a nice velvety black, and easy to find in my makeup bag.

What I don't like is the applicator - it's too thick to be ale to apply the mascara properly - like I can't get it close enough to the lid, so it looks a bit odd and unbalanced. It's also a no-go on my bottom lashes unless I want mascara everywhere.

Overall I like the formula, I just wish they'd package it differently. The chubby thing does't work for every makeup item.

So i have like dead straight pale brown eyelashes and was recommended this, its formula is great and therefore i still use it as my daily mascara but it does not alter the thickness of my lashes at all. Its a jet black and nicely coats the lashes without clumps or anything but its not an in your face effect. I was also recommended to coat the lashes 2-3 times but that defeats the purpose of this mascara as all mascaras after 2-3 coats will appear thick and chunky. Id recommend this to those that want a more naturally black eyelash look though.

great mascara .transforms any length lashes dramatically making them big bold and beutiful also comfertable to wear and always leaving your eyelashes looking fab big and amazing.definatly good to wear aLldayy or for going out and also does not run or smudge always looking perfect and never iritating your eyes.this mascara wont let you down its very easy and simple to apply with no hassels

I have super sensitive eyes and have reacted to a lot of mascaras previously, but this one is perfect! I have no reaction to it, and it provides epic volume which is what I want most in a mascara! It has a big thick wand, which is my preference, but still works well on the smaller lower lashes. Wears well, never flakes or smudges. I highly recommend it!

I absolutely love this mascara!

It is super black, lengthening, volumising, doesn't clump - every thing I want in a mascara! It doesn't smudge on my corners either which is an issue I often have!

The wand is super big which does make it hard for me to apply to my very short, fair lower lashes without getting it on my undereye so I do now use a different mascara for my lower lashes when I use this. But only because I suck at applying it to my lower ones with such a big wand.

Otherwise awesome, better than any drug store mascara I've used so worth the price in my opinion.

I have just bought this mascara last week and I find it gives my lashes a fuller look. It stays on and doesn't smudge during the day.

Really love this mascara. I have really sensitive eyes, and this mascara doesn’t irritate my eyes at all. Gives allot of volume, and lasts all day without smudging.
