Well it definitely did treat the problem I had which was dry scalp but I only used it once a week if I feel the need to because using it too often gave me an itchy scalp. I use it with a moisturizing conditioner because the shampoo is not very nourishing and strips the hair and scalp from the natural oils. I only use it once a week and oil treat my hair with coconut oil every week or two weeks just for added moisture and nourishment.

For me this product dried my hair out and made my scalp worse in time. The fact its 2in1 saved me time
I have nothing bad to say about this product, I find when I use non salon hair shampoo/conditioner products my hair becomes very dry and flaky, if I find my scalp starting to flare up then I use head and shoulders and have no further issues, highly recommend this excellent product.
I noticed I had a lot of dandruff, so at the recommendation of others I brought this, much to my surprise at the high price. I thought quality would warrant the price. I was very very wrong. First use caused my hair to dry out and caused major frizz (I dont normally have an issue with frizz). I struggled to get it in to a lather and work into my hair. Once washed out was stringy and yuck. I thought give it a few goes, wish I hadn't. It continued to dry my hair out, and I noticed no improvement with the dandruff. For such a well known brand I'm shocked with the let down of the product and the steep price. would not recommend to anyone
I find 2 in 1 shampoo very hard to get hold of lately, and as I was suffering with a dry itchy scalp, and was about to go camping (we get 5 minutes of hot water!), I reached for this product. It definitely is one of the best 2 in 1 shampoos I have tried, but I can't say it completely got rid of dandruff, or even the itchiness. It's reasonably conditioning, but after a week of use, my hair was still a bit dry at the ends. As far as 2 in 1 shampoos go, I would definitely use this again, but I don't think it delivers on all of it's promises. My hair was quite static-y after using this, too.
Tips: Use a hair oil to nourish the ends of your hair, and don't expect a miracle -dandruff may still be there!
This is such a well known brand and whilst at the supermarket I popped this into my trolley, in the hope it might help my dry, irritated scalp. I have to say I have tried most brands and products out there to treat my scalp.
The packaging has a curved white bottle, with a blue lid. It's simple and distinctive of the head and shoulders brand.
I'm mainly buy salon products for my hair, as I find most of them to be superior, in treating my scalp and nourishing my dry hair. However, I was hoping this more affordable product may do the trick.
The formula did seem to cleanse my hair well and made it feel fresh and clean. However, it seemed to do nothing for my dry irritated scalp, and the flakiness remained.
Also, this shampoo/conditioner was very drying for my hair and increased the frizziness. My hair just did not look good after using this. It definitely did not love up to its claims of being moisturising.
I was really disappointed in this product and will not be using it again. I have had far superior results with the Aveda brand, scalp balancing shampoo and conditioner, which has been so great for calming my scalp, as well as nourishing my hair.
I find this product really works for me. I wish it wasn't as expensive as it is (roughly $13 for the small bottle) But i guess you pay for quality. I really love that it is 2in1 as it makes washing your hair quicker and easier. The coconut smelling one is divine :) I do think it works as i tend to get a fair bit of dandruff. I would recommend :)
I hate to be sad but, this product I did not like one bit. Yes, its convenient having both the shampoo and conditioner in one product but, your not getting good value for your money. After I use this product, my hair ends up feeling ten times more tangled and stringy. I must say that it does what it says its gonna do (dry scalp), so perfect for that. But just that one area alone.
So I recently started to have trouble with dandruff and this was on special so I thought, why not give it a go. I love the way it smells, and it makes my hair really nice and soft. I like that I don't get a build up of oils in between washes and it doesn't dry my hair out like some. However, as happy as I am with the soft yummy smelling hair, it hasn't done much to help with my dandruff which was kind of the whole concept.
I have a very dry and itchy scalp which sometimes produces flaking skin. It's very embarrassing and super irritating trying to style my hair so it's not too noticeable. I have been to the doctor who has given all the lotions and potions. All this did nothing to make the problem better! This is when I went on the hunt myself to find a shampoo or potion to help me feel more confident. I came across H & S 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner. At $12 for both shampoo and conditioner seems like a good value for money to me.
I thought the idea of a 2 in 1 formula would both save me time and take out the mundane task of washing my hair twice one shower. The design of the bottle is actually quite boring. It reminds me of a 1990s design in the 21st century! I want style and edge urgh here we go again. The size and shape helps me hold on to the bottle a little easier than some bottles which is a bonus. It's not easy holding on to bottles at times with soapy hands.
The smell of this is quite overpowering and heavily scented like chemical. The truth is at the time I didn't care what it smelled like as long as it worked on my scalp and kept my hair healthy. Moment of truth was about to happen. I massage this in to my scalp concentrating on my problem areas. I then leave it in for three minutes and rinse. At times I repeat the action to get the ultimate results. The formula is quite thick and creamy. It lathers up perfectly to satisfy my need for bubbles so I know I am getting a proper clean.
After rinsing out, my hair feels absolutely horrible. It's stringy, dry and tangled in to the biggest of birds nests! It doesn't do anything to even attempt to make my hair feel better. Despite this I carried on to see if I would see the results it promised. I wash my hair twice a week so it took a good month to find out if I had found the one I had been looking for. My hair felt the worst it had ever felt so I found myself having to condition afterwards anyway to get the softness and tangle free feeling back. The pressing matter......did it leave me virtually flake free? The short answer it halved my problem which gave me confidence but at the cost of my healthy hair? No thanks! If I stopped using it for even one week it would flake up worse than before I used it! I have come to the conclusion that I would rather try other methods than use something that would ruin my hair!
Tips: Use a conditioner or serum afterwards because it is quite drying!
