I used this on both legs, but really wish I hadn't. For purposes of the trial I did both and have welts and abrasions from the product being so full of chemicals! I don't have sensitive skin so I am sure they need to reconsider their ingredients. It also took a full hour to heat and still rolled on unevenly. Decent hair removing product, but strips can only be used twice before they don't stick to the wax leaving a horrible residue.

I found The instructions were easy to follow, however, the device definitely takes longer than 20 minutes to warm up to the desired heat for easy application, I'd say it took closer to 35 or 40 minutes and to keep it at a good consistency I found it best to keep it plugged in, kind of defeats the portable aspect. I liked that the finishing wipes actually do take the leftover wax off and you don't get a sticky residue. Mixed results but overall a good product. Would like more wax strips in the pack though.
Tips: Shower first to open up hair follicles and pull skin tight when removing wax strips. Allow plenty of time to get it up to temperature.
So I have been waxing with strips and rollers for 12 years now and have used professional in salon equipment (due to my job) and also tried some home kits out of curiosity and to see if there was a cheaper alternate out there for some of my clients. I have used the Veet easy roll on system now both on myself and on a couple of clients and I can 100% say without hesitation there is no difference between the two (professional & Veet). So happy I can finally offer a cheaper alternate to my clients. If you are having mixed results it will be in the way you are removing it - this is when you can snap the hairs instead of pulling them out at the root. Make sure u rip (and I say rip because the faster the better) the strip along and down in the opposite direction to the application as opposed to along and up, it is the upward motion of the pulling that snaps the hairs. I hope that makes sense!!!
Tips: Rip the strip off along and down in the opposite direction of application - the faster the better as with all waxing techniques and this will avoid snapping the hairs at the base as opposed to pulling them out at the root.
Easy to assembled . Basically its plug in and heat.which is great .which means you can take it anywhere.it took longer than the 20 mins to heat.you can tell because it wouldn't glide on .it felt like it was ripping my skin.i did my legs first and that was pretty easy .but not going to lie it did hurt but after carrying on I got kind of use to it .I did end up with a bit of redness ( i dont have sensitive skin ) and you get some depilatory wipes to wipe off the wax I then put aloe Vera after to soothe.which helped alot.you really need to make sure you have good length hairs at least 2 -5 mm long .I had some strays that werent long enough to get.but can do when they grow longer.i tried doing my armpits hairs by myself ,I struggled big time to do myself .I had to get help with putting the wax on and also pulling the strip off. which was way better for me.but this hurt so bad I screamed and had the toe curl up of pain.but it did work !! It does feel smooth and knowing its going to be at least 4 weeks before I have to do any waxing or shaving.i dont think id do my under arms again.but id be inclined to do my legs again ! I was able to use the strips over and over a few times which is great as it only comes with 12.Loving idea again that its going to be aleast 4weeks till I have to maintain my legs I did find the the wax cooled down to quick for me says the temperature wil be maintained for 15 mins .(I may have been to slow maybe ) so I started to wax keeping it pluged it which it says you can do.big bonus.now that ive tried waxing im giving it the thumbs up .
Tips: Definitely read the instructions!! Skins must be clean and dry.free from creams and oils Do not use on varicose veins ,scars, moles or broken ,irritated, sun burnt skin Mite need help with armpits
This Veet at home waxing kit has not impressed me at all. I purchased this around a year ago when it was on sale due it saying you can get salon results at home and have just reused it. I wanted to try out this system as I was/am over shaving my legs and honestly love the results that waxing gives you. I loved how it included all the essentials in the kit and I looked through the instructions which seemed simple enough. The instructions state that the unit takes approximately 20 minutes to heat up, however I had it on for approximately 40-45 and found that the wax still wasn't heated properly as it seemed to dry on my skin quickly. I quickly placed the strips on top of the wax and I found that the wax settled on my skin. I found trying to get off this wax was really hard and have given up with trying to wax at home. I did find however that the unit sits comfortably in your hands and is also gorgeous because it is pink and white. I wouldn't repurchase this product due to it not working for me.
Tips: I would recommend not wasting your money or time and go to a salon to get your legs waxed if that is the method you prefer.
I haven't waxed in a while, so I was looking forward to trying this. The packaging and device is nice. Light and fits easily in my hands. I didn't know how to store it once I was done! I don't want to leave it out, especially when I have a 1 1/2 year old daughter who loves to play with everything! I am keeping it in the box itself to keep everything tidy, but that will last long!
The instructions are easy to follow and the process is straightforward. The box instructions say to leave it to heat for 20-30 mins. But, the website says to leave it to heat for 30-40 mins! What's with the difference?! Consistency please! 20 mins isn't long enough, even 30 minutes wasn't that great. I found the best way to get a smooth, even application was to leave it for 40 mins. The wax cooled too quickly, I had to plug it back in multiple times. I found it best to leave it plugged in while using it, or unplug it, apply the wax and then plug it back in until the next use. But this defeats the point of using the device cordless!
I thought I could reuse the strips a couple of times before having to apply more wax. But no, you have to apply wax every time. That didn't bother me, but I don't think the cartridge will last 3-4 sessions. I used 2 strips for each leg, that's ok. It took me about 15-20 mins to wax each leg, but with more practice (and no nosey kiddies) I could do it in 10mins easy.
I waxed one leg before I showered and the other after a shower (both were clean with no product). I recommend waxing after a shower for better results. All the hair came out no problem, some hairs were left behind on the leg I waxed before I showered. I did have residue on both legs but that was easily removed with the Perfect Finish Wipes.
I found the pain of waxing my legs bearable. My skin did go red and I got little bumps straight away, but it went away fast. I need to note that I am pregnant and the instructions do state that if you are pregnant, using this product could cause bruising. I didn't bruise, (thank goodness) but this might've contributed to my skins reaction.
The wax is pink, pleasantly scented and any residue is easily removed. There aren't enough finish wipes for 3-4 sessions as you only get 4 and I used 2 in one session. But you could always use baby oil and a cotton square. If using 2 strips per leg you could get 3 sessions of use, but I will have to see if the wax cartridge will go that distance. This product retails for $39.99. A really decent price I think as you will get a few uses out of it.
I'm sitting on the fence. I like the concept, it is quick and easy to use, fairly priced, it doesn't smell bad and removes hair really well. On the downside, I think it needs more strips and wipes, 40 mins is a long time to wait to start waxing, the wax cools to fast and there needs to be a better way to store the device. But I think I need to wax a few more times to really see if I would buy a refill.
Tips: Let the device heat for 40mins on the first use (go have a shower, eat and tidy up while it's heating!). If needed, leave it plugged in for an even better application. I am hoping that it will take less time to heat for each session as there will be less wax.
I was really excited to try the Veet EasyWax Electrical Roll On as I have been waxing for many years, either at the salon or using the strips that you rub together in your hands.
Firstly, inside the box you will find the base, the warmer, the electrical connector, a wax refill, the strips and after wax wipes.
The instructions recommend that you heat the wax up for 20 minutes but I found that it worked better when it was heated for longer - about 45 - 60 minutes meant the wax was a much better consistency and rolled on really smoothly.
Once the wax has heated, you roll it on in the direction that the hair grows, place the wax strips on, hold the skin taught and pull off in the opposite direction of the hair growth.
The instructions also recommend that hair growth of 2-5mm is best and I was well within (or even beyond) the level of growth as I had been growing my leg hairs for the big trial ;-).
Overall it only took me around 45 minutes to wax my legs (not including heating time) but I imagine I will get faster as I use it more often. I found the applicator base in which the wax sits really easy to use, however the hotter and more melted the wax was, the better and easier it applied to the skin.
I didn’t think it was too painful but I have been waxing for almost 20 years so the hair that I do have is quite fine and sparse.
I am definitely a huge waxing fan and think this is a fantastic product which worked really well for me. I will be buying more refills and making less trips to my usual waxing salon this summer.
Tips: Heat for approximately 45-60 minutes for a smooth result and more melted wax. Try and apply a very thin layer of wax to your legs - a thicker application is hard to remove leaving wax on your legs. Apply the wax in the direction of your hair growth and rip the strips in the opposite direction. Always use the wipes and apply moisturiser straight after to leave your legs super smooth.
I love waxing. I know not the words most people say but its true. I'm addicted to the rush of peeling off my hair and breathing out, thank god I'll be hair free for two weeks. I hated shaving, even though I used quite a nice razor before, I just hated having to shave everyday and then get a little stubbly when the night falls. The promise of hair free for 4 weeks is quite far fetched but it still beats shaving. The time it takes for the device to heat up is close to an hour as opposed to the 20 min is says on the pack. Also they so do not provide enough wax strips and finishing wipes, but I just went and brough thousands of wax strips off ebay for like $2. When waxing I do realise that it doesn't pull off every single hair from the root as sometimes it just pulls off the surface hair which means the results end up the same as shaving for like some parts of your legs. It's a little frustrating but I'm getting better at this business. Overall it's really nice to use and the results do last me a lot longer than shaving.
Tips: Always rip your hair close to the skin as opposed to up and away from the skin. You get more hair out that way
I couldn't wait to try this so I went out and bought it from the local supermarket, it was on sale for $29.95. I loved how professional and easy it seemed to use. However it did take quite a long time to heat up, although it did eventually heat up to the right temperature. I tried this on my legs. I found the wax to be very sticky but I guess that's better than not sticking at all. It did pull out most of the hair and didn't leave my skin red. I didn't really like the wax strips it came with as you couldn't really use it twice and I didn't think there were enough in the box. I would have to buy more cotton strips if I wanted to use this again. The wax was a bit difficult to wash off my skin. I haven't reused this as I feel it is rather time consuming and can get a bit messy. I don't like to wait around for the wax to reheat.
I love this product. I bought one about 18 months ago.
The funny thing is i'm such a drip when it comes to having my legs waxed, it's the part of me that hurts the most, but I’ve got to say, with this product it hardly hurts at all.
You plug the unit in, and leave it for about 20-30 minutes to heat the wax up. Then you just roll it on the part you want to wax, apply the strip that comes with the product and off you go.
I find it works brilliantly and for me is almost painless. I’ve only ever used it on my legs so I can’t comment on what it would be like on other places, but it is so quick and convenient.
The only thing I don’t like about it is the fact that the plug plugs, into the unit, not the base, so you have to keep pulling the plug in and out when you are actually doing the job, which is a bit of a pain, but apart from this, this is seriously the best leg waxing product I’ve used.
At $40 I reckon it’s a bargain. It would cost me $60 to have my legs waxed in a salon, and I reckon this would last you 4 months if you waxed each leg (knee down) every month.
Tips: I did run out of strips before the wax refill ran out but you can just go and buy a box of plain strips.
