Thayers Rose Petal Alcohol-Free Toner with Witch Hazel Aloe Vera

As a background to my skin type, I have combination skin that is typically oily on my nose/chin and normal elsewhere. I’m prone to the occasional breakout on my chin.

I’ve always considered toner to be a product that is nice to add to your skincare routine if you can, but not an essential or necessary part of a routine. I’ve completed changed my view on toner since trying this product!

The toner is the same consistency as water and has a soft rose scent. It’s certainly not a strong perfume smell if that kind of thing puts you off. The product evaporates quickly from the skin and any lingering smell disappears with it.

I had some cotton balls lying around that I decided to use to apply the toner. It worked perfectly. I squirt a bit of toner onto the cotton balls and sweep it all over my face and down my neck. For an extra bit of freshness, I also like to sweep it onto my decolletage, on my ears, and behind my ears.

Though it’s hard to be certain, I do think the pores on my nose are smaller since using the toner. My favourite aspect of this product is how fresh and clean my face feels after using it. I also think that my skin looks bright and glowy, and as a bonus I haven’t had any breakouts since using the toner!

After using this toner for a couple of weeks, I’ve barely made a dent in the decent sized bottle so I expect it will last a long time. For the price, it’s certainly worth giving this product a try especially if you’ve ever been curious about adding a toner to your skincare routine. I will definitely continue to use this as part of my skincare routine going forward.

I never used Toners as I've always found them so uncomfortable to use, they dry my skin out (due to the alcohol I suppose) and they make my skin feel tight and not hydrated so I stopped using them over 10 years ago. I am now converted! I love the smell of roses so the smell for me was amazing, it feels like micellar water so I am using it both as a double cleanse step as well as a toner so BIG BONUS. I love this product and plan to continue using it! I'd try their other flavours when this one runs out

I love the subtle smell and texture of this product. It was gentle on my skin and made it feel clean and refreshed. Application was easy and the small hole in the top meant not too much was dispensed meaning the generous 355ml size container will last for ages. I really like the combination of witch hazel, aloe vera and rose.

This product had the most delightful fragrance and felt really natural and non harsh. I have used toners in the past that feel quite astringent, but not this one. It removed grime after cleansing, Im not fully sure of toners yet but this one is so nice to use. The bottle was a generous size too. Will continue to use and hope to see improvements in my skin.

I have been trialing the Thayers Rose Petal Alcohol-Free Toner with Witch Hazel Aloe Vera for the past two weeks. I'm not one to normally use a toner in my routine, I always intend too bit it just ends up sitting in the cupboard. This toner however will continue to see the light of day, as a staple product in my routine. The light water light texture and non overpowering scent make for a enjoyable experience. I have been using it morning and night and have seen a reduction in blackheads and improved skin tone. It's a very refreshing product, and I added some to a small spritzer bottle that is in my handbag. On days at work that are a bit hectic and you just feel hot and bothered I go to my locker and spay some on my face for a quick 'reset' of sorts. I recommend this to anyone looking to add a toner to their routine and wanting to improve the clarity of their skin. At its great price point it is definitely worth a go.

I have been using the Thayers Rose Petal Toner for two weeks now. The label that is comes with makes it feel like I got it from some old timey apothecary shop, however it comes in a plastic bottle instead of a glass one which is quite disappointing. The toner itself though was not disappointing. It is gentle, didn't irritate my skin, and is non-drying. I like that it doesn't contain alcohol like many other toners do.

I use it after cleansing, and it is great for freshening my skin, removing dirt and impurities that cleaning missed, and most importantly for me - removing excess oil. After using it my skin felt clean, moisturised and smoother.

It has a light, refreshing scent - but it was somewhat conflicted about it. It definitely smells like rose petals but also made me think I smelled like my grandma.

I love that this toner is alcohol-free, therfore it doesn't dry out my skin. I've been applying straight away after cleansing and it leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated. One essential for me is that a toner doesn't leave my skin feeling tight and uncomfortable, and I can happily say this one doesn't. It's also great value for money! You only need to apply a small amount, the one bottle will last a long time.

My product arrived and I was surprised by the large bottle. The labelling is fairly plain and it appeared to me to be a little masculine. I guess the product is pretty good value for money at 355 mls. When reading the instructions and ingredients, I was very pleased with the list of natural ingredients. Always a plus for me to have natural ingredients when applying products to your face. It would appear that Thayers know a thing or two about making these natural products, after all they have been doing so since 1847, according to the label on the bottle. I was pleased with the subtle fragrance when I opened my product and enjoyed the slight rose petal fragrance. The instructions indicated I could use the toner anytime during the day to refresh my skin. I have used the toner morning and night for the past two weeks. I have noticed when applying it with a cotton pad how it removes further impurities from my skin, even after cleansing. My skin has been softer and it feels cleaner and more receptive to moisturiser when applying after toning. This product is great and I would certainly recommend it to others, and yes I would continue to use it and purchase it for myself.

I'm not a massive toner user so it was awesome to be selected for a trial. I really love this stuff! Arrived just in time to fix a breakout and I mean fix. It was super soothing and my skin cleared up in days. All organic and no alcohol means it doesnt have the usual smell, instead it smells of roses! This is like liquid gold but maybe the best part is how it is made. After reading the back of the bottle, its family oriented which makes it even cooler.

I'm not one for using toners so this was abit different. I must say I liked the simple packaging and easy to use flip top. Not a big fan of rose thought but scent wasn't to overwhelming. Cooling on applying and my skin feeling clean and fresh after use but didn't notice much difference in skin tone or texture.
