Kiehl's Ultra Facial Toner Review

This toner i acquired with my flybuy points. I'm glad to have tried it. The toner comes in a simple bottle. The liquid is slightly thick and creamy. It's cool and soothing to the skin. I used this during the summer season. Therefore it was nice during our humid and hot summer in Aotearoa. There is no sting to the skin from using it. It also lifts of any impurities left behind after cleansing. This is very gentle to my skin. The amount in the bottle is ideal as a little goes a long way.

This is a very gentle toner and I don’t feel like it’s been doing much to my skin at all, not stripping, but also not moisturising, kind of nothing, doesn’t feel like I’ve used toner at all. It’s very thick, so I end up using more than I use from other toners, sits on top of the cotton pad, so I start dabbing it on my forehead and cheeks and that helps the toner to get soaked in the skin and into the cotton pad, so I can start wiping my face with it as usual. It’s a very milky consistency, reminds me of my garnier milky micellar water, very similar in consistency, just different uses, but even then it feels like the same product in the way they act on my skin. Gentle, but also not very effective. My skin needs a good toner, I’ve found I need a stronger, more effective/cleansing one as opposed to this gentle one. I’m sure it brings my skin back to a good ph level(what a good toner should do and I think Kiehl’s products must be good formulations), so I’ll use it up, but will not repurchase, I’m sure this product would be lovely for sensitive skin types as it’s so gentle.
