I received a mini of this for my birthday and it was my first time trying an Urban Decay mascara. I wear glasses and I’d been struggling to find a mascara that didn’t end up all over my eyelids when I apply it. I put this down to the thicker brushes that seem to be popular these days. This has quite a spiky brush which enabled me to coat each lash without coating my lids as well. Once it’s on it stays put - even when I was in hot and humid Singapore. I like to replace my mascaras every three months and this mini contains just the right amount of product without any going to waste. The wand also isn’t too mini to handle. I would definitely use this again and I’m also keen to use other mascaras in the Urban Decay range.

I decided to buy this because I was looking for a new mascara, and Urban Decay are a good brand. I bought this in the mini size because I think mini mascaras of more expensive brands are better value, and there is less risk if you do not like the product.
The packaging for this is super cool. It comes in an iridescent cardboard box, and the colour of packaging of the mascara itself is the same: clear plastic case under which lies the iridescent purple/green colour. It has Urban Decay's logo, and the name of the mascara on the outside.
This mascara promises to provide: "super-fat, super-long, sex-proof mascara." I have not tested the latter, and I am not convinced of the former, but in my opinion it does make my lashes appear longer.
For myself I prefer my lashes to be lengthened and separated. I really hate clumpy lashes on myself. I would much rather have a mascara that made my lashes look longer, than one which made my lashes look fatter. Fortunately, this mascara definitely makes my lashes look longer. I have dark lashes, but they are very light on their tips, so look shorter than they are. This mascara is able to coat the whole lash. The brush has spiky rubber prongs, which help to separate each lash and to coat it in mascara. I did not see a lash fattening effect, but I am not bothered by that.
The formula is also quite dry, which I think is a good thing. Beauty Review published an article suggesting that you wait for a new mascara to dry out a little before using it as that will make it more effective. This mascara is dry from the get go, so you can use it right away. I like the dry formula. It means the mascara smudges and flakes less. I can even apply it to my lower lashes, which I do not normally do because of transfer. I find this mascara hardly transfers at all.
The only drawback with this is that the brush on the mini version is quite close to the handle, which makes application a little trickier, but presumably that is not an issue with the full-size mascara.
In summary, this is one of the best mascaras I have used. It suits my personal preference for long, separated lashes, and I think I will repurchase it.
Oooooooohhhhhhhh I just LOVE LOVE LOVE this mascara. Dab on a little for a natural look or go all out and create a more dramatic look. Either way, you will look absolutely FAB.
This product absolutely delivers and has been on the top of my list for quite some time. Yeah, it comes with a bit of a price tag but it last long and absolutely delivers on its promises. Longer, fuller, more curled lashes without the clumps. Perfectly seperated eyelashes can easily be obtained with the great applicator brush. This is a long wear product that will last all day. No smearing, no smudging no weird little black flakes appearing on your face. Money well spent! Would definitely recommend
Seriously in LOVE with this mascara. I don't have very long or thick lashes, they are barely there to be honest. But WOW, this mascara changes that. The first day I wore it, my partner even said to me "Your lashes look super long today, did you go get them done?" (He was referring to extensions btw)...NOPE, just a mascara! I really like the 4 sided brush, I use the shorter, thicker bristles to 'dump' the product onto my lashes, then I use the long, thinner bristles to spread the product and extend my lashes. Meanwhile it separates each lash to give a fuller look. Another point to add, is the fact that it DOES NOT SMUDGE! I have even worked out with it on, and I came away with only a teeny-tiny smudge under my lower lashes. It doesn't flake, doesn't smudge, comes of super easily with cleanser and looks BANGING! Love Love Love.
Tips: Don't double dip, or else you get too much product and it goes clumpy. Just pull out the wand and you're good to go. Usually I can get both eyes done without having to dip again.
