I received this perfume as a gift in the 30ml EDT size a while ago and although it is not the typical scent I would go for I do quite like it.
First of all the bottle is gorgeous. I like my perfume to be in pretty bottles as they sit on display for a long time (as they take a while to use), so they may as well look pretty in the mean time right!? It has a gorgeous gold top and vibrant turquoise bottle which I think fits the scent perfectly.
I would describe this scent as a fresh floral with a touch of citrus. It is a scent I reach for more in the spring/summer due to it's freshness (so am just starting to wear it again now). It has an okay lasting power for an EDT, but, if I were to repurchase I would definitely go for the EDP as I prefer not to have to reapply during the day. This EDT does last a good couple of hours on me though.
As much as I enjoy wearing this, for the price, I think I have others I would repurchase over this, just personal preference :) If fresh floral citrus scents are your thing though this is definitely worth checking out.
Before I stumbled across this magical scent, I had never tried anything by Roberto Cavalli but one whiff of Acqua and I was hooked!
I received as a gift several months ago but it's only been lately that I've been breaking it out. Not because I didn't like it, but this fragrance really is the perfect scent for summer.
At first spray this smells like a fresh floral fragrance, a beautiful blend of one of my favourite scents, jasmine, with a fresh spritz of lemon. As it warms on the skin the jasmine really pulls through with almost musky notes. I love that this isn't what I'd call a 'sweet' fragrance so much, it's feminine but not sickly. For me it brings to mind cocktails on balmy nights, days at the beach and summer days - the perfect pairing for summer dresses.
Regarding longevity I didn't find this that long lasting, maybe a couple of hours so if you like your perfume to linger it'd pay to reapply.
Lastly I do really like the bottle, I think it perfectly suits the fragrance itself and the name Acqua - the cool blue and gold perfect for such a summery scent.
While this isn't amongst my favourite perfumes I do really like this scent so I wouldn't be against purchasing it myself or recommending it others.
Tips: Like most perfumes the scent lasts longer on fabric, so if you're wearing this in summer try spritzing this on your clothing too to avoid things like sweat, sunscreen or water washing it off.
