Trilogy Very Gentle Hydra-Mask Review

Well now!!!!!!!! This has been a match made in heaven for my skin, I find with a lot of hydrating masks or even those sheet masks, when I wipe or wash them off my skin feels dry and really tight and 9 times out of 10 red, inflamed and angry for the evening. And I think that is why I love this mask so much because it is a cream not a gel it hydrates my skin big time without the angry after affects, Ive been putting this on my face every other day and I have felt this has aided along with the rest of the range in helping my skin look so healthy and glowy. Its a really comfortable formula that goes on nice and thick and then I just wipe it off after 10 minutes, my skin hasn't been angry or irritated at all, I was having a flair up of my facial dermatitis the first time i used this and managed to get some on the open skin, and it did sting a whole lot, so I definitely would follow the directions for this tho and keep it well away from broken skin. Overall a really nice product

This beautiful mask is heaven in a jar. Now while you think that might be a tad over the top, for me it just is.

The reason I love this mask is because everytime I use it, my skin just looks better, more hydrated, more smooth and more firm.

The jar itself is made of frosted brown gloss with pretty peach labels that are easy to read, simple yet sophisticated. It clearly states the instructions on the label which is great because having to keep instruction pamphlets from each product is not that easy to remember to do especially when my bathroom is full of other products. Plus hubby throws them out in frustration ha ha ha.

The mask comes with a wee little black spatula for scooping out the product but personally I prefer to use my fingers as my hands are always clean beforehand and it is only me using the mask so need to worry about the hygiene aspect.

I apply a nice amount, not too much though as a little bit goes a long way and glides over your face quite nicely. There is no stinging, or itching or any of those annoying reactions when leaving it on, in fact I actually can't feel it and sometimes forget I even have it on my face as it feels quite light.

It says to leave on for about 10-15 minutes and after that time I grab a hot wash cloth and pat it off my skin as it keeps my pores open and allows the product to continue to work its magic. If I am using it in the day, I apply the Calming Serum followed by the Moisturising Cream. If using it at night, I apply the Restoring Oil then followed by the Moisturising Cream.

Although the price tag is a bit on the high side, I would most definitely purchase it as this will last you for ages. Definitely recommend this if you do experience sensitive skin.

I loved this mask. It comes in a cute wee glass jar and includes an applicator in the box. The product is a pale yellow colour and has just a very slight scent. It's very creamy and feels amazing to apply. It goes on really easily and quickly and feels like it's working instantly. Unlike most masks this doesn't harden on the skin and pull it tight but rather it absorbs slowly into the skin leaving it feeling so nourished and soft. After it has all absorbed in or roughly 15 minutes rinse off the excess with warm water and follow up with the trilogy moisturisers for soft silky hydrated skin.

I used this mask as part of the whole Trilogy Sensitive range review. The mask was totally different to other face packs that I've used before. The texture was that of a cream and it felt like I was putting moisture and and hydration onto my skin. There was no tight feeling you can get with some masks after leaving the product on for 15 minutes. I used the mask as a treat once a week and my skin felt really good afterwards. I had no breakouts or issues using this product on my sensitive skin. I would buy this again.

I haven't used a face mask in years. Seriously, at least 20 +. Sensitive skin generally means I don't want to put anything too 'powerful' or intense on it, and certainly not for a long period of time.

It's packaged very similarly to the moisturiser, so I had to double check every time before using it.

It is a really thick, rich cream that feels cool on the skin, it's instantly calming, and while I was braced for tingling or heat, it just felt relaxing. (I can't wait to use this in the summer months!)

I left it on for 10 minutes the first time, but now feel comfortable leaving it on for longer, it's gentle. But is it effective?

Yes. I was curious as to how my skin would feel any different after using a mask than it does after the daily routine. I think the results in this mask lie not in the hydration factor (don't get me wrong, it really does hydrate) but in the instant lift it gives my skin. I feel like I've been for a facial, my skin feels fresh and glowing, and young. YES! Young!

The downside to this mask is that its not the easiest to 'remove'. There's not much residue to be fair, but what's left doesn't just come away with a tissue, I used a damp face cloth to ensure there was no residue.

As my first face mask in yonks, I really enjoyed using the Trilogy Hydra-Mask, I'll definitely be looking to re-purchase and keep using.

This product comes in a gorgeous frosted brown glass pot, 60ml sized and with a wee spatula. With the calming ingredients of macqui berry, Syricalm and sweet almond oil, this cream is lemon in colour and of quite a thick consistency. It left my skin feeling plump and moisturised with no signs of irritation. I would recommend for anyone who has sensitive skin and also for people who don't. If you like exfoliating, applying a thick layer of this AFTER exfoliating would restore any moisture lost and would be really soothing.

I've never used a moisturising face mask before, only a clay/mud mask. Well this moisturiser was definitely hydrating. After using this my skin felt really soft and supple. I have combination oily skin so someone with dry or dehydrated skin might not get the same results.

The consistency of the mask is very thick as expected. It feels quite sticky too, however the texture is very smooth which makes it easy to apply to your face. I remove the mask with a tissue which still leaves my skin dewy and tacky. You can cleanse it off if you want your face to be clean however I apply my mask at night so I just leave the rest of the product to absorb into my skin over night.

This makes is very gentle on your skin and I had no reactions while using this product. I was glad that I didn't as masks tend to be products that can irritate your skin given how long you need to leave on your face for. My face wasn't red and I think it has reduced the redness on my cheeks.

I really like how this product comes with a mini spatula which makes it easy to apply to your face without having to dip your fingers in and contaminate the jar. I also hate getting product stuck under my nails!

Overall this mask definitely lives up to its claims. It is very gentle and works well on sensitive skin so I would definitely recommend this product to others.

I was extremely excited to trial this, as I have very sensitive skin and always have a hard time finding products that my skin agrees with! The packaging is beautiful and classy, I really like the pale pink and white colour theme, and the frosted glass packaging gives it such a luxurious feel, weight and look. There wasn’t really much smell to the product, which I didn’t particularly mind, it just smelt faintly kind of clean and fresh. I have never tried a hydration mask before, so was unsure of what to expect. This also came in a jar (like the moisturizer) and had a spatula (like the moisturizer), which will be really helpful to scoop the product when it runs out or when my nails get too long. This mask has a really creamy, thick texture and glides so easily onto the skin. It’s easy to build up a thick layer (as per the instructions) and makes my skin feel soothed when I put it on. After leaving it on for 10-15 minutes, I was pleased to see that most of it had soaked in! There were only a few small areas where the product hadn’t fully soaked into my skin. To remove the excess, I wiped it off with a tissue. After wiping the excess off, my skin felt a bit tacky and slimy, so I just made sure to wipe it a few more times to get all the excess off. My skin felt really hydrated and super smooth and soft afterwards! No redness, no flare ups, no itchiness, my skin was looking really good. I was really pleased with how my skin looked and felt after using this mask- I really liked how a lot of the product actually got absorbed into my skin. I also have dry skin (as well as sensitive), and before I used the mask, I had a few dry bits on my face, and after using this, it looked (and felt) like some of those dry bits were gone!! I have found this mask to be really hydrating (and it definitely is really gentle on my skin) and I will continue to use this once a week and monitor the dryness! So far, so good!

Amazing hydration super sweet mask. I love this! In the past I have had bad experiences with masks burning, stinging and causing major irritation. But this one is a game changer,

I have been using this about twice weekly for the past 3 weeks and my skin has never been so good. This mask is like no other - its hydrating, calming and protective. It contains maqui berry,SyriCalm and sweet almond. It’s a light honey mustardy yellow colour. Very nice to apply. I apply a thick layer onto my clean skin. Relax for 15 minutes and wash off with a warm face cloth.

It retails for $44.99 for 60ml. A little goes a long way even with this mask. I will be repurchasing. I couldn’t imagine my skincare routine with out it.

This mask is such a game changer and its great for sensitive skin. My skin has never been so health since starting to use this.

I've been using this once a week before bed (three times now) and every time without fail it plumpens up my skin the next morning. When I get up my face feels so soft and hydrated and feels like it's more bouncy.

The application is easy with a mini spatula. I use about a round dollop the size of a 10cent coin. The jar tells you to apply generously but I tend to go for a mediumly thick, 1-2mm thick layer all over my face. I leave out circles for my nose, mouth and eyes (so like a sheet mask). I leave it for anywhere between 10-30min depending how long it takes for me to get ready for bed. Then I wipe off any excess with a cotton pad and pat/massage my face to really help absorbing as much as I can. It is a little sticky afterwards, so I'd recommend changing your pillowcase relative regularly if you're using this or any type of sleeping pack.

This is very gentle on sensitive skin, just like all the other products in this line. There's no noticeable scent unless you sniff really deep then it's like an unscented, natural ointment kind of smell. Using it once a week I think this will be able to last me three, maybe four months. So about $3.50ish each use. This isn't too bad, considering the sheet masks that I use for hydration are around $2 each. And the sleeping packs I like are around the same price as well.
