Silky & Smooth

I am in my late 50's and have mature dry skin. The L'Oreal Paris Age Perfect Golden Age Eye Cream is in a 15ml elegant shimmering square jar with a gold lid. There is hardly any smell I can detect.

I have used this eye cream for 2 weeks' now. Any eye cream I have used previously, I have gently used under the eyes just like this one. This eye cream can also be used on the eyelids which I have never done before. I was a little hesitant, but did as the instructions said and had no reactions or stinging. I also used a little just under my eyebrows which have never been touched by moisturiser before.

When applying, I only needed a tiny amount to use as a little certainly goes a long way. The cream feels silky to the touch and most certainly has reduced the appearance of lines under my eyes and they feel less puffy. I will love to keep on using this cream and reckon it will take me a year to use this tiny jar. Excellent value.

Tips: Use on the eyelids as this cream is silky smooth and doesn't sting.

Rosy Radiance

L'Oreal Rosy Radiant Eye Care was an exciting test for me as I am aware my eyes tell tales. The cute pot with its golden lid housed a deliciously fragrant cream, perfect consistency for a finger dob in the eye area, and a natural colour which did not change skin tone noticeably. i used this morning and night in tandem with its big sister Rosy De-Densifying Cream.

Yes, I do have dark circles! However, little Rosy did not fade those, rather she temporarily helped until her goodness soaked into my skin. She did seem to lift the eyelid brightness though.

I think Rosy's big sister product would equally do this job and of course it is more convenient to have one product rather than two.

Tips: This little jar will last for months of daily use, therefore it has to be economical if you prefer special eye cream care.

L'Oreal Paris Age Perfect Golden Age Eye Cream

I was fortunate to be part of the trial for this cream in conjunction with the matching day cream. Like the day cream it has a pleasant and quite subtle perfume and is tinted a pretty pink but it is, as one would expect, a much lighter texture.

At 84, and having been a very erratic user of eye creams during my lifetime, I was not anticipating any miracles but have been impressed that my eye area has looked quite perceptibly brighter since I have been using this just once a day.It is very easy to use -absorbs quickly leaving no sticky feel - and a very little goes a long way.

After some days in hospital - when skin care was the least of my concerns - my eyelids became very noticeably dry but, afterwards, within a day or two normal softness returned. I am lucky enough to not be afflicted with baggy eyes so cannot comment as to any effectiveness for this - but mildly dark circles do seem to have diminished - to the extent that I only use a concealer when I am going out and actually going to wear some makeup.

Rosy radiant care EYE

I know I should always use eye cream especially at my age but I go through periods of being good and using an eye cream running out and taking my time to buy another. Probably not the best thing to do as the years pass by...... So of course I love to trial an eye cream especially from one of my favourite beauty brands L’Oreal, a brand I have trusted over the years to not react with my sensitive skin. What I instantly loved about this eye cream is that the dark area under my eye was reduced after the first application, I want to continue to use this cream for that reason only but it does much more than just that. I was noticing the skin above my eyes was starting to look more saggy especially upon waking but since using this eye cream for a few weeks the improvement is noticeable and I feel I can see major improvement to the upper eye. So there’s a two way benefit to this cream (dark under eye and less saggy above).

Tips: Major tip is if you are like me and busy and a little lazy when applying creams you will see the places you haven’t made sure they have blended in properly.

Natural Pink Pigments

I was surprised to be asked to review this product, as it is aimed at the 60 plus market (and I am 'only' 50). But I think providing any extra moisture to the eye area is all good, and I am happy to provide this review based on my findings.

Marketed as an eye cream for very mature and dull skin (in conjunction with the day cream I have reviewed elsewhere), this eye cream claims to help with Anti-sagging and corrects stubborn dark circles with the help of calcium B5 and peony extract.

Even with the "strength" of a 50 year old, I found the pot very hard to pull out of the packaging - super duper glue was used - so a 60 plus should make sure they have had their weetbix before hand.

The cream has a rosy pink colour to it. It is light and easy to pat around the eye contour and on the eye lids. Caution is always needed in these areas, but not toxic smelling or feeling at all - definitely doesn't make your eyes water and I guess this is because it is Ophthalmologically Tested. I was always taught to pat your eye cream in (rather than rubbing or smoothing) so I did this. I found the pink colour was unforgiving if the eye cream was not fully absorbed into the skin.

Although I don't (yet?) have issues of sagging and don't suffer from dark circles under my eyes, L'Oreal Paris Age Perfect Golden Age Eye Cream has moisturised this delicate area and I do believe there is a new plumpness as a result of the extra moisture.

Personally I would choose a white cream from L'Oreal over this rosy one though.

Tips: Pat don't rub in the eye area

The pink eye cream!

OK, so it won't give you pinkeye, but it is pink!

L'Oreal Golden Age Eye Cream is a light salmon pink cream, which is moisturising without being greasy. It works really well as a daytime eyecream, the salmon colour helps neutralise blue shadows and concealer applies nicely on top without slipping around and creasing. The consistency is similar to lightly whipped cream. I do prefer something the feels heavier at night, though that's just a personal preference.

The packaging is cute, it's a mini-version of the day and night cream jars. A rose-gold square jar, satisfyingly chunky and with a wee bit of heft so it doesn't feel cheap.

L'Oreal is one of my favourite brands for skin care, they are high quality products at a reasonable price, particularly as the brand it stocked by Farmers, The Warehouse and bigger supermarkets so it's often on special. I've tried quite a few products in the Age Perfect range and I've liked them all.

Tips: This is a great eye cream to wear under concealer, it's colour correcting and not greasy.

L'Oreal Paris Age Perfect Golden Age Eye Cream

Easy to apply this cream caused no stinging around the eyes and was absorbed quickly into the skin, my 71 year old eyelids loved it. I was amazed after just a few applications how soft my eyelids felt. I find a number of creams cause watering of the eyes but I had no issues with this cream and the fine lines appear reduced and the skin plumper, with a more natural colour as the darkness is reduced

Tips: Only a small amount of cream is needed as it spreads easily , I loved the soft colour which did enhance my skin tone

L'Oreal Paris Age Perfect Golden Age Eye Cream

I was keen to try this product as soon as it arrived but I had difficulty getting the product out of its packaging. The box and product are both square, leaving very little room to for fingers around the container to lift it from its box. I turned it upside down hoping it would slide out but due to sticking agent on the bottom of the box, this didn't happen. With arthritic fingers I struggled to maintain enough grip to free the product from the packaging. Finally I ripped the box open to free its contents. The product itself is small but due to the squared shape I found it easy to unscrew the lid so I like the container shape. I found the product easy to apply, a little goes a long way and seemed to absorb quickly without feeling greasy. My skin instantly appeared fresher with a nice glow and seemed less tired looking. I applied the product each morning and was pleased to see that the results were still evident later that evening and still fresh looking without makeup. I am happy to continue using this product.

Tips: Due to the packaging filler (folded cardboard and gel glue inside the bottom of the packaging) it may be easier to initially open the product from the bottom of the box rather than the top.

L'Oreal Paris Age Perfect Golden Age Eye Cream

As always L'Oreal products deliver. I love the packaging, it always looks elegant, and it is great that it can be recycled. It definitely does what it says on the packet. I noticed a huge difference on the first day, as soon as I put the cream on. It certainly made me feel that I looked younger - no idea what other people thought! I love L'Oreal products and this certainly delivers, would definitely continue to use it and recommend it to friends.

Tips: Ensure that you only use a very small amount and be careful not to get too close to your eyes.

L'Oreal Paris Age Perfect Golden Age Eye Cream

Lovely lovely product! Once again, L'Oreal has come up with a great product that arrived in its usual classy packaging. Although this cream is for ages 60+, of which I am not for a a few more years, I feel it can't hurt to get in early on the anti aging process. This is a fragrance free eye cream (although, I felt I detected a slight fragrance) that is creamy and glides on the eye area in a silky manner. The light pink colour of this correcting cream helps to cover the dark under eye lines very subtly and leaves them feeling hydrated. I used this cream morning and night as it only specified to use daily so I wanted to make the most of it. I have used for two weeks and can't really say that the darkness under my eyes is any better for it nor can I claim to have firmed up the eye area, but I can tell you that I really like this product. You only need to use a very small amount which makes the RRP fo $39.99 well worth it for an eye cream as the pot should last 3-6 months depending on whether you use it 2x daily or not.

Tips: Use in conjunction with the other L'Oreal age perfect, golden age products and if your skin doesn't look a million bucks after use, I'm certain it will feel it! Enjoy.
