I have been using L'oreal Midnight Regenerative Cream for three weeks and I am very impressed with the results. I took a photo before commencing the trial, and another one on completion (same time of day and lighting). The results are clear: - my skin used to be red and blotchy, especially on cheeks, but now it looks much smoother and has a more even tone. - the first photo shows some sagging skin under one eye - this is no longer visible in the second photo. - my skin feels soft and full of moisture. - three nights before the trial ended my daughter, who did not know I was trialing anything, commented on how amazing my skin was looking. How did I use the product to achieve this? I applied the cream generously morning and night. The only other product I used during the trial was a toner. Going forward I will add in an eye cream also. First off, I'm not a fan of jars - I prefer hygienic pumps or tubes. But that said, this one is an improvement on the Olay jars, in that the interior plastic seal lid has an easy-grip lever, so it's a cinch to remove.

The product itself? Divine. It smells delicious, warm and slightly spicy, but doesn't overpower. The texture is luxuriously rich but not greasy or oily. It spreads and smooths easily, melting a bit into the skin after a couple of minutes but leaving a comfortable cushion of moisture. My skin's very dry and can be reactive, but this feels soothing and hydrating on contact, and that feeling continues through to the next morning.

While I can't claim that this cream has smoothed away the wrinkles on my 54-year-old face, I can say that I wake up with super-soft, plumped, moisturised skin that just looks better. I love it. I don't know if it would suit people with oily or combo skins, but if you suffer from dry - or, like me, parched - skin that needs nourishing, anti-ageing benefits, this cream's the bomb.

I've used this cream over the past few weeks and it is certainly very rich and nourishing. I found I didn't need a lot of product to get results. My decolletage really soaked up the product beautifully and each morning I could see and feel the results. For my face? I found Idid need to keep it away from my eyes as it was far too rich for that area. I would wake up with greasy lashes and lids. Probably just a bit too rich for my skin.

For the trial, I replaced my night cream with the midnight cream and continued with my normal cleansing, toning and serum regime. Firstly, love the packaging! Very stylish. I always feel products are better protected in opaque glass. And here is where I feel the product loses the most points; the smell! The scent of a product is a major for me. This one is too strong and reminds me of cheap supermarket shampoo. It didn't get better, the more I used it. The cream itself is a great consistency and absorbs really well; my skin drank it up. In the morning my face still felt moisturised which I loved. I didnt notice any remarkable differences in my lines but was skin was definitely 'plumper' due to it the moisturising properties. I wasn't wowed by this cream and again, the scent played a huge part. It's a good moisturising cream.

Gorgeous jar, gorgeous scent, just a beautiful luxurious night cream is what I’d describe this in a sentence.

For starters it has a creamy texture that glides on. I need a bit more of this than my usual Olay micro sculpting night cream, more than a fingertip to really add extra to my drier areas. This will probably make the 50ml jar not last longer than say 3 months. It has softened my cheeks especially and overall plumped up my skin.

The box says to use in the day as well but as I have combination skin and there’s no SPF I didn’t use this as a day cream. Go for it though if you are on the dry side.

This might just topple my normal cream as it’s so much more a sumptuous experience at the end of the day.

This is another lovely Loreal night cream , l love the feel and texture of the cream my face felt nourished and tightened after using it . I also use Loreal serums and eye creams. This night cream Absorbs very well I to the skin with out a greasy feel , but still leaves skin feeling nourished Great product! Thanks

The Midnight Cream packaging is lovely; gold and black, very stylish. The cream itself comes in a black glass jar which blocks the light thus helping to prevent the active ingredients from deteriorating. There is also an inner white plastic lid to stop the product from drying out.

I like that L’Oreal has the testing of their products conducted by independent institutes which makes their results more credible.

The winter months are not always kind to my skin. I find that the cooler temperatures plus indoor heating leave my skin quite lacklustre and feeling drier than usual. As I am in my late seventies I am starting to develop fine lines and wrinkles. Midnight Cream is a regenerative night cream for mature skins and is meant to work while you sleep. It is enriched with antioxidants; Neohesperidin which supports cell regeneration and Vitamin E to protect against free radicals like pollution. The cream has a soft texture and is not too greasy. It takes a few minutes to sink in but doesn’t feel heavy on my skin as is often the case with many night creams. I use a spatula to scoop the cream from the pot making it more hygienic. It is a rich cream and makes my skin feel moisturised and nourished.

I have been using Midnight Cream daily for about a month now. I have experienced no irritation or breakouts and it’s lovely to wake up with brighter more even-toned skin.
