I was using this product and a similar MAC one, and found that this version gave a much more subtle glow - the luminosity you're after, without the slightly sweaty-looking sheen that some over-hydrating primers can give. Makeup sat well over top of this product, but my skin looked fresher. I found that this and a little concealer, blended well, was enough for a no-makeup day.

As soon as I received it I gave it a shake and put it on, a very light texture, went on smoothly. I was a bit worried at first because it felt a bit oily but after I applied it my worries were eased. I have used it on its own to work and a few cousomers (friends ) commented how much more brighter my skin looked and on Friday night I used it with my normal makeup regime and wow my foundation jst glided on and even thru the make up people noticed how radiant my skin looked.. So I am a definite convert!!!
Tips: Shake before use
I really like this primer for giving a nice glowy, dewy, illuminating effect to the skin. I use one pump to cover the whole face which is a perfect amount and it is best spread on with fingers! It is a really lovely consistency and creates a nice even skin for applying products on top of. It is best used under a dewy type foundation/bb cream - i find it makes other foundations a bit patchy.
Tips: Apply with fingers and leave to set for a minute before applying products on top!
I’d heard good things about this product, and once I’d seen a few more reviews up on BR I went out and took the plunge.
It comes in quite a small slender bottle with a pump and what I find is that one pump gives me the exact amount of product for each application.
This is probably my favourite find of the year so far I just lurrveeeeee it. It evens out your skin tone and makes your foundation look even and perfect and (wait there’s more!), I’ve found I love wearing it just on it’s own for a dewy look at the weekend.
My last primer was Clarins Beauty Flash Balm, which again I loved, but I reckon for half the price, this one does the job, just as well.
Tips: Wear it just over your moisturiser at the weekend your skin will glow!
I am usually not a frequent primer user. So trying this product was really good! Let's start with the good:
The product itself is pearly/shiny and goes on the skin smoothly. It is not heavily scented and I had no reactions in using the product. It is a nice size bottle; small enough to fit in a handbag or cosmetic bag but big enough to last a decent while. It has quite a runny consistency; this is both a good and bad thing in that it does go on nice and smoothly however it can be a little on the messier side.
Now for the cons. THE PACKAGING! To start with, I could not get the plastic topper cap off the product! I tried everything (including the classic classy bite it off). This only resulted in pulling the whole pump tube out so I just used it that way. Eventually I managed to get the topper cap off so I could use the pump. Then another issue arose. It just pumped out watery product. Even after shaking it. Gross. Let alone the pump spraying the product everywhere. Eventually I managed to get rid of this and could finally use the product how it was intended! Phew.
Once I was able to use it proper I can say that the pump was quite a good way to package this product as you only pump a small amount out at a time, reducing the risk of getting way to much out at once.
I liked the packaging; simple and elegant. It also had instructions (well not full on step by step) which suggest its uses; alone, under foundation or as a highlighter. The last primer I had did not have any kind of instruction so I quite liked this (especially for someone who isn't a huge user of primer).
I did find my makeup lasted a bit longer when I use this under my foundation compared to when I use no primer at all. It made my foundation spread on smoother and it seemed to stay nice throughout the day.
Overall, it is not a bad product - the main reason I rated it lower was because of the issues I had with the packaging. Personally, I don't know if I would buy it again at that price as I feel the other primer I have used (which was significantly cheaper) did a similar job. What I do prefer about this product to my last primer is the smoothness of the product.
Tips: Be careful when pumping the product out - it can go everywhere!
Use under foundation to allow a smoother application of your makeup.
I've only recently started using primer, about a month ago I purchased this. For a silky soft primer that illuminates the skin this is perfect, leaving my finish glowy and dewy. The packaging is beautiful and simple yet elegant and is small and easy to carry around with you for travelling etc. The pump is a bit iffy at first but after a few pumps the product comes out easily and I have had no issues since. For a primer that isn't bad on price, silky and soft and lets your makeup last all day long I highly recommend this.
First of all, it is slightly on the expensive side for the size of the product BUT i love it! Its a nice perly silky primer that glides on super smoothly, its easily blended in with fingers. It makes a very nice smooth soft base that makes my foundation just so easy to blend over top of it and it just gives the skin the most natural glow effect. Sometimes i even mix it in with my foundation and its even more glowy :) happy to say i would 100% recommend this primer to anyone who likes a dewy finish :)
Tips: Apply and allow it to dry for about 5 mins before apply foundation over top
Never having used a primer before I was unsure what this product would do for me.
I found this primer made my skin feel fresh as well as smoothing out my skin and evening its tone.
My foundation stuck around for alot longer and my skin felt like it had a nice glow.
What it didn't do was clogg my pores which is something I had expected!
Tips: Shake the bottle real well before using to blend the primer properly. I didn't for the first use and ended up with clear liquid!
I bought this primer a few days ago from farmers and I must say I am very impressed with it.firstly the price is about half the price of ysl primer that I normally use but results are pretty much same and I think I like this one even more due to the pearly sheen finish.it makes skin look fresh and radiant. Foundation glides smooth over it thus you get better application, even coverage and flawless finish.i cant recommend this highly enough.
Tips: Let it dry before applying your foundation.
Ive been using this primer all summer and I really like it. I don't like to spend a lot on makeup but when my foundation ran out I splashed out on Mac Studio Fix. Then halfway throughout summer I decided I no longer like the matte finish it gave SOO I love that this primer gave it some luminosity. It was a little runny in consistency and I wasn't expecting that but I find that makes it easier to spread around the face. The thing that would put me off from re purchasing is the price. At almost $40 I would say it is a little pricy for a drug store primer but I do really like it.
Tips: Swipe it over the face and pat it into the skin for the best results
