L'Oreal Magic Lumi Light Infusing Primer Review

Never having used a primer before I was unsure what this product would do for me.

I found this primer made my skin feel fresh as well as smoothing out my skin and evening its tone.

My foundation stuck around for alot longer and my skin felt like it had a nice glow.

What it didn't do was clogg my pores which is something I had expected!

A great primer - leaves my skin silky and gives a great glow, This is the first primer I have tried and love how soft it makes my skin and how much easier it is for me to put my foundation over top!! In love - will never wear foundation with out it again!

I wanted to buy MAC strobe cream but heard this was a dupe for it so thought I would try it first to see if I liked it before I shelled out the money for the strobe cream.

I don't even need to buy the strobe cream now because I LOVE THIS! Its definitley a dupe for the strobe cream from what I have noticed but the plus side is the packaging is smaller and easy to store and is so much cheaper!

The texture is quite thin making it easy to spread and doesnt have a smell (from what I can tell) which makes it pleasant to use. Its a white shimmery colour which fades away when applied and leaves a beautiful glow to the skin.

I've had this tube for so long and a little goes a long way, I usually use 1 pump to do my whole face, sometimes two when I'm feeling a little dull and want some extra glow. I didnt find it helped my foundation last any longer than usual so I usually use another primer with it.

I will be buying this again when it eventually runs out!

This primer is delicious. It adds a glow and hydration to my skin. It sits wonderfully underneath my foundations and rivals my high end primers. It's a really liquidy consistency and doesn't necessarily fill in pores but it does smooth your skin, allowing product to apply well on top of it. The primer comes in a super hygenic pump dispenser that I find pumps out the perfect amount for my whole face. I can't comment on the increased longevity as my foundation usually stays on all day however it doesn't make it wear off any faster which is a definite positive. The price point is really good and I would say it was very comparable to my hourglass mineral veil primer in both texture and use. I take a pump in between my fingers and then pat it over my entire face, I find this is the best way to ensure it sinks in and does the best job that it can.

I have heard some amazing things about this primer so picked it up for a great price from splash store. The packaging is a little bit cheap looking and the lid is a bit leaky, although the rose gold lettering and pump seal add a nice touch.

The scent is a little strange, somewhat sunscreen like (as far as I can tell there is none in this product), mixed with a sort of green tea scent. A little weird but not off-putting and this disappears as soon as the product is absorbed.

The formula is quite runny but blends out really beautifully, soaking into the skin leaving it feeling smooth and hydrated. I find one pump does the entire face very easily. This leaves the skin looking a little shimmery (not sparkly) and a little more perfected. When you apply your foundation as usual over top it leaves your skin looking dewy and fabulous.

I have quite large pores around my cheeks and nose so my preferred primer is something that is geared towards pore filling or blurring (such as Benefit POREfessional) which is not this sort of primer. I do find though that I can layer the two together, applying the POREfessional first (as this dries super quick) and then this primer. I then can have the best of both worlds, luminous skin without crater like pores. I love wearing this with a matte foundation to make the finished affect a little more luminous. I do also find this is great on dry skin days. Would recommend to people who love that dewy finish, or for use in combination with another primer to combat combination skin.

This product is great for all over luminization on the face, it has a thinner consistency than strobe cream but is pretty much identical to the now discontinued strobe liquid. Does a great job of giving the face a glowing appearance.

After using this review for the past 4 days, I have come to the conclusion that it definitely does live up to the hype (particularly how much Shaaanxo raves about this). For me, its one of those primers that gets better and better throughout the day. When I put it on in the morning, i'm pretty unconvinced. But OMG, from about midday onwards my skin is looking amazing. It makes my foundation look like gorgeous glowy skin that is natural and radiant. It makes your skin dewy but not to the point where you look greasy and sweaty - I have combo/oily skin and tend to get oily in the T Zone area but this primer seems to mattify and dewify in all the right places (if that even makes sense!) I've also had heaps of compliments about my skin since using this primer which makes me love it even more :)

I purchased this primer recently with high expectations, and this product definitly met thos expectations. I have tried many other primers, and would admit to being a bit of a primer addict, however none have done such a great job of giving my skin such a dewy, highlighted finish. The product definitely keeps your skin hydrated through the day and it is silky and beautiful to apply. Even with just a coat of this primer on my face my skin looks so illuminated and amazing. It also helps my foundation last longer and apply nicer. Overall, this isn't the best primer I've tried in my entire life but it is up there. It does exactly what it says it will, a little goes a long way, the size of the bottle is decent, it has a pump applicator (which I love) and it's cheap! A must have for any collection.

This product is fantastic. It combines both hold and shine to create the perfect primer. When applied it leaves a very dewy, shiny finish to the skin. But when foundation is applied over top, instead of being shiny and greasy looking your skin looks illuminated. Even if you have oily skin, this product does will not let your face get oily throughout the day. It holds your makeup for a reasonable amount of time, but I wouldn't say that it primes for a whole day. But other than that last few hours when you need to touch up your nose, chin and forehead, this primer is honestly so perfect and one of a kind. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!
