Expensive- yes, worth it- yes! Love the smell and consistency. I bought the pear and it goes on like a dream. Really hydrating and not at all sticky. There are probably cheaper lip balms out there but find me one that smells good, lasts this long and doesn’t taste bad!
Tips: Only the smallest amount needed as it spreads over lips smoothly.
I purchased the unperfumed lip balm, just wanted an everyday moisturizing one. 15ml small white tube, contains a clear, slightly sticky balm. No noticeable perfume, non irritating to my lips. Contains Squaline and Vitamin E among other things. I think I paid $18, but this tube is lasting a long time. I just squeeze a small amount onto bottom lip then rub it in with my finger. Good under and on top of lipstick, makes lips look shiny. I would recommend this lip balm. Good for sensitive lips, non irritating.
Tips: Use a tiny amount, a little goes a long way.
I always have very dry lips and have been a long time fan of Kiehl's brand, so I thought I would give this a go. I got the original one with no flavour, it reminds me of the papaw ointment in a way. It does work for dry lips, however due to the packaging, you have to use your fingers to apply. I don't think I would purchase again due to cheaper alternatives out there that works just as well.
Tips: Little bit goes a long way.
I really love this lip balm as it is super hydrating, and is my go-to when my lips are really dry and in a dire situation.
It is quite pricy though and I'm not sure if I would buy it again over it's cheaper competitors, but I definitely don't have any complaints about it.
It has a nice smell, hydrates the lips really quickly and is not sticky! It's also really easy to pop in your bag and carry around.
It definitely does what it says it will but I feel like a lot of other cheaper balms are also able to do the same things.
I purchased this when I was in a bit of a Kiehls-loving frenzy... and whilst some of their products are great, and I really really wanted this to be one of them, I just didn't fall in love.
The tube is a handy size, and prefer tube applicators because I hate getting messy fingers. The product applies nice and smoothly, and isn't tacky on the lips.
The two top reasons I just couldn't get into it were: the price (it's waaaay too expensive compared to better products at a fraction of the cost) and the fact that it didn't last long; I needed to keep reapplying to get any moisturising effect on my lips.
I bought this lip balm on impulse and it is okay but in my opinion isn't worth the $18, when other products of similar quality and quantity are priced under $10. It has a thick Vaseline like texture and an unappealing off yellow colour. It spreads well but doesn't absorb readily so you need to be careful how much you use. My lips felt moist but not softer, like when I use blister or other balms with more active ingredients. I wouldn't rush out to buy again
I got this just to complete my kiehl's haul. I was first attracted to a moisturizer then decided buying an a complete line of skin care and it wouldnt be complete without a lipbalm. The consistency of this product is very much like petroleum jelly. It was clear and heavy on the lips and it made applying lipstick quite difficult because the lipstick was just sliding off. The only consolation was it smelled quite good and came in a tube.
I got this in the mango flavour, it was an "add-on" purchase as they have these around the counter. What was it thinking... almost $20 for a lip balm. The only good thing about this is it smells nice. It did very little for my chapped lips and the product just sat on my lips and did not feel like it was being absorbed. In the end I did not finish the tube, in the bin it went and I have gone back to using carmex!
One of my holy grail products! This hydration based lip balm is amazing for chapped or dry lips. Doesn't leave your lips feeling overly oily or like the product drys up to quickly while wearing it. The consistency isn't to sticky while wearing it and it glides on smoothly during application.
Contains some really beneficial ingredients like Vitamin E, Aloe Vera and Squalane which are great for hydration, soothing and replenishing.
My absolute favourite is the Mango scent! I have one in my bag, car and gym bag in case I'm on the go with dry lips.
Tips: A great product to apply and let sit while you do your makeup and then you can apply any longwear lip product with out them feeling to dry on your lips!
