Maybelline Colour Sensational Lipsticks Matte Review

I love how affordable this beautiful lipstick is, and it's great quality. The packaging is also super elegant and bold, so no shame taking it out in front of everyone to top up your lipstick!

I've also looked after my lipstick really well, and it still looks almost brand new! It's stayed completely clean and hasn't melted away in my handbag.

And most importantly this matte lipstick doesn't dry out your lips like crazy, and it doesn't dry up to be sticky.

I have a beautiful medium-dark brown colour "760 Gone Griege"

I picked up this lippy from one of the beauty vaults. I absolutely adore lipstick. I love wearing it to work most days. I like that Maybelline can be found at almost every store that’s around .

Packaging comes in a coloured case with silver swivel holder. Consistency is matte not as pigmented as I thought it would be . There isn’t much scent . After eating and drinking you definitely need to top this lipstick up as your going throughout your day .

Overall I was a little disappointed with the outcome of this nude shade. I’d definitely like to try some darker colours to see if I have the same result .

I’m not sure if all the shades in this range are like this but this is definitely not my favourite lip bullet out there. The colour is beautiful and matte but it applies quite patchy and picks up on the tiniest dry spots that other lippies don’t. It’s not very creamy either. They work better with a lip liner underneath which is the only way I can use it.

I have a couple of shades from this range. The finish is matte, however the application is quite patchy. I also don't like the fact that it really emphasises the dry patches on your lips and starts to crack and flake almost straight away.

The texture is creamy, I would agree with that. Because of the soft texture it makes the lipstick easy to apply. I also like that he is a big colour range available.

Overall I have found these lipsticks hard to apply so I won't be using them again.

In terms of matte lipstick, my favourite is in liquid form. Most bullet matte lipsticks I've tried haven't really been matte enough in my opinion. I was pleasantly surprised with this one.

The lipstick is in a silver twist-up tube, with a matte opaque cover. In terms of formulae, the lipstick is quite creamy in texture but surprisingly when you put it on it goes on very lightly. This means that you need to build it up to get the true colour to show. Once that's done I do like the pigmentation though. Unfortunately, because of the light layering it is quite hard to make defined lines. The lipstick doesn't dry like a lot of matte lipsticks so it's not very very matte looking. That also means it doesn't accentuate your lip crinkles too much. The wear is pretty average in terms of bullet lipsticks that I've tried, with some transference. All up I am happy with the pop of colour (once built up) and I like that it doesn't dry my lips. Will wear often.

I have this in the shade 685 Craving Coral. This lipstick comes in standard bullet lipstick packaging with a silver tube and a coloured cover. Craving Coral is quiet a bright coral shade that in my opinion is closer to an orangey-red than coral. The formula of these lipsticks is a bit stiffer than normal lipsticks and isn't as creamy as I normally like in a bullet lipstick, they do drag on your lips a bit. They colour is relatively pigmented, but it does apply a bit patchy. Luckily you can easily build it up. They are quiet long lasting, they will fade with eating and drinking and aren't transfer proof but they won't slide around your lips. This formula also doesn't settle into your lip lines. These aren't my favourite matte lipsticks but I would still repurchase these.

I have a good dozen or more of these lipsticks as I find them of very high quality and very comparable to big name brands matte versions.

The selection of colours keep growing which each season and they have not seemed to have changed their formula since my first one that I purchased over 18 months ago, this is great for me but bad for my bank account as everytime I go into Farmers I find at least 2 new shades I don't have and they always seem to be amazing and swatch so well.

For a matte they have a real creamy application that gives an opaque finish on one stroke across the lips, and they dry down to a touch proof matte in a few seconds, there is enough time to play around to get your lips shaped perfectly before the product sets in. They are long wearing and semi waterproof, for instance they can withstand drinking from a mug or glass but do wear around the inside of the lips, they also stand up to some moderate eating but if you eat anything greasy these will slip and break up on your lips, as would most lipsticks let alone a matte.

Easy to remove at the end of the day without the need for any special remover to get them fully off the lips and I have not encountered any staining from any of the tubes I own. I adore the packaging being a frosted or shiny case of the similar shade inside or the range all being a colour it makes it easy to find in a collection and also to see what you are missing when you are shopping.

Bought it for an interview from Farmers. I got no. 660 touch of spice, it's a impeccable pinky mauve color. Does go with a lot of outfits. Being a creamy matte gives moisture and does last for few hours.
