The color of these lip glosses is amazing, I got candy apple and it is such a gorgeous pinky-red with insane sparkle. Unfortunately i'm not really a lipgloss kinda girl and this one is really sticky and uncomfortable so I don't use it often, but I have a lot of friends that love to borrow it! The packaging is beautiful and I love having it sitting on my dressing table, if nothing else. The very small brush is a bit strange, I find it got for presicely lining the lips but makes an even application over the lips a bit difficult.

When I ordered this, I intended to buy the shade "Present," but when Candy Apple came, it was so pretty that I was happy to just keep it.
Candy Apple is a sparkling true red, slightly cool-toned. It's packed with tiny red "sparkles," but I don't feel them, even when I rub my lips together. Candy Apple feels very emollient, lasts well, has a faint pleasant vanilla taste, and is quite pigmented. I can imagine wearing this alone, or over red lipstick. It does seem to want to "travel" just a bit, so liner is probably a good idea with this gloss. I love that Lime Crime is cruelty-free; that's a requirement for me.
The only "minus" is that the brush applicator was very stiff on first use, but I expect it to soften in time. I love this, and have already ordered "Present," the sparkly purple tubes that Lime Crime products come in seem a little undignified, but I can deal with it.
Yay I get to review a awesome product for my 100th review! So I have the "Present" LC Carousel Gloss. The packaging is super cute! Unicorn on the top of the lid, then stars on the side, but the bit I love the most is the tube. It's like toffee that has been twisted and left to set. You need to turn the top quite a few times to get the lid off. I like this, means it won't accidentally undo. These guys really do deliver with their packaging I reckon.
Anyway, the gloss brush is tiny. I kinda like it. I can get close to the lip line than with those normal sponge types. Speaking of the lip line, make sure you use a liner. Mine seems to bleed into fine lines. So now I use a nude liner for all my LC.
The gloss reminds me of a toffee apple. Rich, yummy and sticky. The colour is stunning. It has glittery sparkles in it. Not huge chunky ones. I like glittery stuff!! The colour is more purple/plum. Not red if that makes sense. I have smeared a bit on my hand and I'm watching it changing colours. More purple sparkles. This makes me happy.
The colour stays on for quite awhile. It sort of leaves a tinge of a stain on your lips. I really like that bit as well.
The smell is oh so yummy! Vanilla ice cream with hokey pokey bits. Mmmm
All in all, this gloss sends me off to a real carnival as a kiddy, loving the smells and remembering the crunch of toffee apple. It is very pricy, so not sure if I'd buy more.
Tips: This can be worn over most lippies. It will change various looks easy peezy. Don't load the wee brush up with lots of gloss. Build it up and enjoy
Beautiful, sparkling formula with lots of colour pay-off and lustre. It smells divine and isn't super sticky.
Tips: Wear it over lipstick to deepen colours and make them look iridescent. I love using "Present" carousel gloss over Lime Crime Poisonberry.
Lime Crime Carousel Lip Gloss is a must have lip gloss, I am not interested in the nude lip if you have make-up on it should look like you have make up on. These lip glosses are a gloss but have amazing pigment in them so they look like a lipstick. They stay on for a long time and look amazing, they are well worth the money. I have the whole set of them and would never go to a different brand of lip gloss.
Tips: Use a lip liner first so the colour doesn't bleed
I purchased this from NZ boutique - Pagan Marie. However, I believe they are no longer stocked.
I own this in one colour- which is called "Present". As with all Lime Crime products the packaging is super cute! It is packaged in a glass swirl tube which feels cool to the touch and quite sturdy. It definitely looks super pretty on display! The applicator is similar to a tiny paintbrush which allows for higher levels of precision, I wouldn't say that It is easy to apply, but I find It easier than their Velvetiness range! In saying that, the tiny brush doesn't allow for a quick application! Be prepared to take your time with this lipgloss..No rushing or quick fixes!
As "Present" is a deep, sparkly pinky/purple colour I sometimes like to layer this over purple lips such as Diva by Mac. It definitely adds dimension and further WOW.
The negativity I have about this product is that it is so sticky! I hate it when my hair gets stuck in lipgloss and this definitely attracts it! It can definitely get gloopy and feel like too much is on your lips!
I feel like it has decent longevity, and the sparkles definitely add something fun to your lips, over another colour or alone! I don't notice the scent too much either so nothing more I can really say!
Tips: Use Sparingly!
I am a huge fan of Lime Crime.. but was pretty disappointed by this product. It is really thick and glue-like. I thought it would be much more pigmented and glittery than what it was, so that was pretty lame. The brush is really odd too, it could be bigger. It is okay over a red lipstick though! Over all, pretty crap!
Tips: BARRY M have a fantastic dupe of this. I love BM label and they made a red glitter lip gloss which is more pigmented, and better wear than the Lime Crime one.
This is such a gorgeous looking gloss. I purchased this from Pagan Marie for a great price. The packaging is just super adorable and I think this is the best part about the product, the packaging and the fact it has a unicorn on it, who doesn't like unicorns he he he.
It comes in a handy tube with lovely twists in it, reminds me of an aniseed twist but clear.
The formula is quite interesting. Its not super thick like some glosses are and I like that but it is just a wee bit sticky. This would be great to go over a matte type lipstick to bring back a nice shine or glossy look to it as I find matte lipsticks can be quite drying.
I tend to use this over a plain lipstick because this glittery gloss really gives it that WOW factor and makes your lips stand out and look quite sensuous.
Its a great handy gloss to have in your handbag to turn your day lipstick into a night time lipstick and make you shine.
Tips: I have this in the clear shade which I find perfect to use with any lippy to give it a lovely dazzling sparkle.
