essano Body Lotion

love this lotion, its easy to apply and doesn’t leave a heavy feeling on the skin. Perfect for everyday use and smells amazing. I use this product everytime i get out of the shower and love how comforting the scent is.

I was told by a surgeon to use this on my scars after surgery to keep the skin moisturised. She said it was good quality and affordable. I found it didn't absorb well and wasn't creamy but felt thin. I couldn't see any beneficial effect, but I did like the citrus scent. Unfortunately it felt like a cheap product so I can't recommend it.

This is a bit misleading as it is called a lotion, with lotions you expect them to be thinner than creams, however this has a thick consistency which is amazing to apply (I'm not complaining about the incorrect use of the name). I feel like I need to use way less as by using a little it goes a long way on the skin. it smells amazing and not too overpowering and adequately moisturises my dry skin. You definitely get more than you pay for with this one!

The body lotion comes in absolutely beautiful packaging: a dark brown pump bottle with an orange label featuring a metallic floral design. I love how beautiful the packaging is as it makes my dresser with my beauty items stashed on it, look far more luxurious. The pump dispenses only a small amount of product at a time, which is good and minimises product wastage. Unfortunately, there is no way of sealing the pump once opening, I know many pump bottles have a mechanism where you can turn the pump to lock it for when you want to travel or take it to the gym. Although being a large body lotion it's one you're less likely to travel with, I did find not being able to close it annoying, as I was gifted this whilst away and had to travel with it and inevitably the pump squirted product all over my clothes. However, that is my only gripe with the body lotion. It comes in a generously sized bottle for the price, and this would last anyone a long time. The smell is DIVINE. The mandarin and macadamia scent is delicious, I just want to eat it. It's a very refreshing scent, ideal for summer and the kind that makes you feel awake. The smell is super strong, it reminds me of a Lush product, which I love as I am someone who enjoys my body lotions to have a good scent! I can smell this from across the room when it's merely sitting in its packaging! The lotion is very gentle and doesn't irritate my sensitive skin. Sometimes if you use too much it tends to ball up/pill on the skin, so definitely a little amount goes a long way. It absorbs nice and quickly and hydrates well. Another bonus is essano make a shower gel in the same fragrance which I own, so you can match the scents of your skincare. I think this is a really nice body lotion at a great price and I'd happily use this again.
