I tried this as a sample tube and instantly liked it because of the smell. I purchased the bigger bottle and have loved it. Makes my skin feel soft and supple and hydrated. A little goes a long way so you don't need to be heavy handed with it either. The smell is quite floral maybe more rose obviously but has another underlying ingredients I cant quite put my finger on (might have to go back and read the ingredients again lol) It comes in a bottle with a pump which is great I hate having to squeeze a bottle or tube. If you like a good body moisturiser that will leave the skin feeling mositurised and supple and that wont break the bank then this is the lotion for you :)

Tips: Don't need to use too much so use a light hand when it comes to the pump.
I am becoming a huge fan of Essano's products! This body lotion has a beautiful floral scent, with an undertone of something I cant quite put my finger on-almost vanilla or woodsy? Maybe a teeny hint of musk, but only in a very subtle way. If you don't enjoy strong or floral scents this may be too much for you, and I probably wouldn't wear this if I was going out as I would worry that it would clash with my perfume. After a shower however, just before bed, this is heavenly. It glides on easily and sinks into my skin leaving it feeling very nourished. I wouldn't have called my skin particularly dry before using these products, but something about this range leaves my skin feeling so fresh and plump that I'm beginning to realise my skin was thirstier than I thought. This leaves my skin feeling so healthy! I don't go through body lotions very quickly, but when I run out I will be sure to repurchase.
Tips: I wouldn't recommend this body lotion if you are not a fan of strong or floral scents
This product comes in a brown bottle with the same pink branding as the other Essano products.
At first glance it is like every other white hand lotion, but once you start to rub it in, POW, the scent hits you like a ton of bricks!
It is absolutely gorgeous!! Surprisingly the scent lasts on the skin for ages after application too, which I really liked.
The lotion itself is lovely, It absorbs quickly and easily and leaves a lovely satiny feel to the skin. This felt amazing and also lasted for ages after application. This product is really giving my go-to body lotion a run for its money!!
It claims it will leave your skin smooth and supple, and it really does.
At around $16 this lotion is very good value for money, and I found I didn’t have use lots each time, so it should last for a while.
I recommend this product, and all Essano products, to others to try. It is on my list of products to buy for gifts for friends and family also
Tips: Apply on warm clean skin and prepare for a scent sensation :)
I got a trial bottle of this and thought it was face cream and was using it at night and my face was super soft, I didn't realize it was body lotion, now that I have tried it I am keen to try the other rosehip products
The Essano Rosehip Body Lotion comes in a brown plastic pump action dispenser which will come in very useful for other purposes after the lotion has been used. Unless of course Essano release a ‘refill in a bag’ product too, which would be great for the planet and for the pennies.
There is no doubt that it is very reasonably priced at $11.99 from Countdown Supermarkets during their beauty sale month. Even with the other 25% added back on it is very good value for money for the 400ml bottle.
It has an absolute lack of expensive unnecessary packaging. I would think that Essano designed their bottles to be as they are so we can be reminded of the Essano brand after the product runs out, should we be reusing the bottle for something else. Therefore we may be prompted by that to go and purchase again.
On application it has somewhat of a smooth keratin type of consistency gliding onto the skin and applying very well but after the first application I found I needed more for the skin on the exposed areas, for example my hands required as much as three coats.
It left an uncomfortable ‘tackiness’ factor but that wore off after about five minutes but I’m left with the feeling I still need more. The smell wasn’t so great on application but that also dissipated after five minutes or so. It was a little pungent, put it that way, although not at all offensive after a while.
I’m not sure if I would buy this product again at this stage. Maybe once I’ve used it for a little longer I will add an update.
Generally though it’s good value for money, isn’t too heavily fragranced and I have no doubt it’s a good moisturiser that fulfils the product claims.
I will be trying other natural organic brands in search of the perfect ‘go-to’ body lotion. With all the competition on the 'organic rosehip market' at the moment I think I’ll eventually find one that I’m completely happy with but it is good to bear in mind that these reviews are subjective. If you are at all curious I would say try it. It is well placed price wise and will last at least 8 weeks I would think, if not a little longer, so you won't be spending money on a product that doesn't live up to promises that Essano make. It definitely works well as a body moisturiser.
Tips: You can reuse the brown plastic glass like container for any number of products around the house and on the beach too. The plastic pump action dispenser is very well made.
I don't often use body lotions but this beautiful product from Essano has me thinking twice. Forget the supermarket pricing - this bottle is pure luxury! I really love the rose scent - some say it's overpowering, I say it's brilliant. It goes on light and absorbs easily and leaves my skin super soft.
Tips: Use as often as you please
I bought a sample set of Essano Rosehip products, and adored everything else in the set. This, for me, was the bad apple.
To spin the positives, I love the soft pink girly packaging, the concept of rosehip in a lotion, and the lotion itself in terms of it being lightweight, easily absorbed and hydrating.
However, the lotion is scented in such a way that it is very fake, powdery, and sweet. Although it is a nice light lotion, this scent clings to your skin and is a little cloying. It's not at all pleasant to me.
I also don't think that the lotion delivers as promised on 'deep moisturisation' and intense hydration'- for me it's light and refreshing in feel, but let down by the scent. I would be disappointed if I'd bought this expecting it to be a heavy duty moisturiser - and I'd be disappointed if I bought it with the expectation that Essano had created an awesome addition to their rosehip collection. As much as I love the rest, I fear they have missed the mark with this one.
First off, the positives. This range is very reasonably priced, it contains the wonder ingredient rosehip oil and it is good for my skin. The bad news? The artificial smell is so strong and so unnatural that it is unpleasant to use. My mother threw her sample out because she couldn't stand the smell and, while pregnant, I had a rubbish night's sleep because the smell permeated my dreams and disturbed my sleeping. However, this moisturiser goes on nicely, is easy to rub in, leaves skin feeling good and is only supermarket pricing, so there are definite positives to the product.
Tips: Get thee a sample to try before you buy to decide if you can handle the scent.
Out of all of the Essano range the hydrating body lotion is the most delicious smelling, almost good enough to eat. It's slighty fruity with a sweet smell and berry?, not like any other moisturiser I've ever smelt. After trying a sample of this product I went out and brought the biggest bottle I could find which is this 400ml.
It lasts a long time and it's not overly greasy, it absorbs quickly into the skin and the sweet scent is so light, warm and sit's close to the skin. I use it everyday and pair it with the Rosehip oil straight out of the shower as I am pregnant it's been a favoured routine at keeping stretch marks at bay and still being able to maintain a bit of luxury in my day.
I love the packaging of Essano products that they have become a feature on my bathroom windowsill, functional and stylishly clean branding.
I picked up a bottle of this at a New World Beauty event. As I was walking around sampling everything, a women asked if i wanted to try the body moisturizer and that its scent was 'divine'. Now, I'm a loyal 'Lush-y' but when I rubbed this on my skin it was love at first touch. It felt thick and hydrating on my skin. And the smell.... oh wow - it lingers on the skin for a good amount of time. I couldn't stop smelling and touching my arm as I continued walking around, that as I was leaving the supermarket I grabbed a bottle. Only $12! This has now become my daily body moisturizer. I had never used Rose Hip products before and now 3 months after my first purchase, I am a convert! The scent won't be for everyone but I love it! its got a sweet rose fragrance, that's almost edible! I also love that it comes in a pump bottle too, I don't like dipping into containers sometimes.
Tips: Slather on all over after a shower and wrap a fluffy robe around you and let in sink in.... feels and smells like luxury!
