essano Body Lotion

I've had dry skin my whole life, and tried many lotions and potions. So after reading a few reviews and finding this on sale I pop it in my trolley and trundle it off home. I put it in the bathroom with the masses of other body moisturisers. A long hot bath after a hard day at work I reach in a find this lotion, in its brown plastic pump bottle and read the label, deeply moisturises, intensive hydrating yeah yeah yeah vegan, natural and cruelty free ticks all the boxes. I smirk at myself thinking when will I stop trying to soften my dry skin. So I squirt some of this white soft lotion in the palm of my hand and take one look at it and think oh it's not thick enough I stand there looking at it, and as it starts to warms up the fragrance drifts up and I first get a whiff of a soft buttery scent followed by a hint of coco and a mild vanilla rose a warming scent I want to eat it ha ha. I fall in love with the scent there and then, and think if it works half as good as it smells. So I slowly rub this soft silken lotion on my arm with anticipation and its quickly absorbed, my skin drinking every drop and soothing every inch of my skin and my senses, I squeal in total delight and then work it all over my whole body. This lotion doesn't leave me sticky just soft and soothed, I'm moisturised:) smooth and supple. This at the end of the day this wonderful lotion is so good for my skin and senses. This is mine it's certainly worth the money x

I purchased the trial pack as I wanted to try the cleanser (that’s another review). The trial pack has body lotion, night crème, cleanser, moisturiser and oil, which is how I came across this product.

It is a vegan body lotion with some organic ingredients and states it on the bottle. The trial size is now done in a small tube, it used to be a small pump bottle, both are good for travelling with but may not have enough in it for more than about 2 days. The full size is a brown tinted plastic bottle with a dark pink rose coloured label with a pump top.

It is a white cream lotion that glides on. It is light texture. It moisturises well and my skin does not feel dry and like it is missing something. Nor is it greasy from too much product.

It is scented but this is due to the oils in the moisturiser rather than additional perfumes. It smells different from the rest of the range and has a cinnamon scent rather than the rosehip scent of the other products.

Will I rebuy this in full size? Yes, once I have finished my collection of other lotions and butters, so I can justify it.

Consistency- This lotion has quite a thick creamy consistency.

Application- This product is easy apply and soaks into the skin quickly.

Fragrance- This product has a soft floral fragrance consistent with the other essano products.

Coverage- I use two pumps of this product each night to moisturise my legs.

Usage- A bottle of the moisturiser lasts me several months of everyday use.

Price- This is one of the more expensive supermarket moisturisers but is often on sale.

Packaging- The packaging of this product is consistent with the rest of the essano products which are in a brown plastic bottle with a pink label. This product has a pump which I prefer my products to have.

Results- This product moisturised my skin well leaving it smooth and soft.

Skin type- I have very fair combination, blemish prone skin. I get an oily t zone but other areas of my face often get dry.

Repurchase- I would repurchase this product but I would wait until it was on sale.

This is quite good as a body lotion but not as moisturising as the body oil. I have been using this as well as the oil for when I can't deal with the dribble problem with the oil :) It works well and smells great- a bit like chocolate to me.The pump dispenser is excellent and easy to use.It is Vegan and organic and New Zealand made = :))

I've been using this after winning an Essano products prize pack. Lotion isn't something that I typically use although I always have it for a quick hydration fix, when I don't have time to lounge around in my bath robe waiting for the slow absorbing oils/creams I usually use to soak in.

The look and feel of this lotion formula is much like any other, it absorbs quickly and the scent I love it's smoothly sweet & spicey, reminds me of ginerbread yum!

So as far as lotion goes I think this is sufficiently hydrating (for a 'normal' skin type anyway) when applied in the morning and again at night. Sufficent yes, desired level of hydration no, but that's maybe just a preference thing plus moisturising is something I don't really want to have to do more than once a day.

The fact that this moisturiser has rosehip, jojoba and shea butter in it makes me very happy to use it, beautiful skin care ingredients amongst my favorites. I really like this body lotion more so than others i've tried, it's quality & value for money. (Not that I purchased this one but I'm likely to in future.)

I really enjoyed the smell of this product - and I loved how it soaks in so quickly. Feels fantastic and smooth to use without leaving an oily after feel. Definitely moisturises my skin well. Packaging is lovely and great value for money!

This was part of the trial pack I purchased from Countdown. As soon as I used it, I knew I wouldn't be purchasing the full sized version, as the smell was just too off-putting for me. It's a very overpowering fragrance, not unpleasant, I was expecting a lovely rosey scent, this would definitely clash with any perfume worn at the same time. As far as moisturising goes, it sinks well into the skin & does a good job of hydrating the body. The price is very cost-effective too.

I got this moisturiser in the sample sized Essano pack, and was excited to try it as I've liked a few of the other products. However this product was a massive let down, purely because it smelt terrible!! Unlike other products in their range the scent is sickly sweet, and incredibly overpowering. After the first use I couldnt fathom using it anywhere but my feet (which I then cover with socks), and washing my hands afterwards, as the smell lingers for ages on them too. In terms of its actual moisturising qualities, its hard for me to comment but it has helped my feet a bit.

If I wasn't so stingy I would have throw this away, and I will probably pass onto someone else rather than use it, as someone else might be able to stand it Overall will definitely not be buying this one again.

Im so obsess with this product :) I love using this lotion everyday. The smell of the lotion smells amazing , not to stronge just a perfect scent. The only reason im using this cause I am pregnant & im soon gonna get stretch marks around body so this body lotion does keep my skin feeling hydrated & smooth . I would definitely recommend this product for everyone & to be mothers. :)

This lotion has an awesome scent which lasts nearly all day. I have found it to be really moisturising and it melts easily into my skin. The price is really reasonable and the packaging doesn't look cheap and supermarkety.
