I absolutely love the ecostore volumising shampoo and wanted to love this too but unfortunately it just does not cut the mustard for me.
The ingredients, packaging, smell and ease of use are all really great, as is the cost. But, it just does not provide my hair with enough nourishment and leaves it a bit weighed down.
I tried a deluxe sample of this conditioner courtesy of Ecostore. I chose the volumising option as my hair is very thin and fine (and currently quite long). For reference, my hair is not coloured and is quite dry and heat damaged at the ends.
First up, the packaging is quite chic compared to other supermarket haircare, and it's the kind of product I would have in my imaginary guest bathroom - eco-friendly, recyclable packaging, NZ made, cute container.
The product itself is thick and white (normal conditioner situation) and smooths easily through my hair. I only apply conditioner from the mid lengths down, and leave it in while I wash my face and body. It doesn't have a strong scent, more of a subtle plant scent.
I'm impressed by the nourishment this conditioner provides - it has both argan oil and avocado oil which means by poor super damaged ends feel soft and silky. I haven't observed a big volume effect, but that is to be expected with a product you rinse out.
The main thing for me is that it leaves my hair really soft thanks to the oils in it. I would definitely purchase the larger size, and I think I will try the other conditioners in the range also.
