Gillette Venus & Olay Disposable Shavers Sugarberry Review

I found the bars really bulky and made it harder to get a close shave. I did like the moisture they provided for shaving but it gets used up quickly - much faster than the blades blunt. You also still need to moisturise after which is what I was hoping to avoid with this product. Overall, not a fan.

I have chronic pain everyday, hypersensitivity, nerve damage in my left knee and leg; also sciatica, so it can be very aggravating, uncomfortable, frustrating, painful when my hairy or stubbly right leg hair touches my left leg. Also pants, legging, stockings, long dresses, bedding etc aggravate it too. (You know when your pants pull your hairs a little bit?) So having hair free legs is necessary for my health, well-being, coping mechanism and sanity.

This has a nice soft textured grip, easy to handle and it looks pretty. I love that all you need is a little water on it and away you go. Blades: The blades are nice, sharp and good quality. Moisture strip: Glides on extremely smooth, leathers nicely, is very hydrating and leaves my skin soft. Using this product I didn't have to use any shaving creams nor other products. Dry leg shave: I was very impressed that all I had to do was dampen the moisture bar with little bit of water then go in with dry legs and it would still shave with ease. "It was a miracle"

You can also shave everyday with not worrys and no pain. I've never had shaving rash nor any ingrown hairs using this product.

The Gillette and Olay collaboration was a total success. The only upsetting thing with this product is that I live in Tauranga, New Zealand and they don't hold this product at all. They do outside of Tauranga but not in Tauranga itself (I know this because I called them complaining that I couldn't find it anywhere in Tauranga.)

I have brought these a couple of times now. Just to see if my opinion would change. The idea of the bar attached and not needing anything else to shave draws me in. I personally find the bar to bulky. I find it gets in the way of the blades getting really close to my skin. The bar also vanishes quickly with enough with hanging to dry out. Then you are left with a uncomfortable plastic bit.

This would be a great idea for traveling and short on storage.

I'm not a huge fan of women's razors, bit strange I know! But they just don't cut right to the skin like mens razors and I like 4-5 blades.

But when I found this with 5 blades and girly pink colours it slipped into my trolley. It also has the soap bars either side of the razor, while they are a good idea in theory, they only last a couple of weeks before falling off or completely dissolving. But I love the scent of the soap bars it's a sweet berry scent.

So I set to shaving, looking at and feeling my legs the whole time. There were no stray hairs that it missed and it shaves right to the skin, even after weeks of use and me using it every second day the blades are still sharp. I haven't had any nicks or cuts so no need for the wahmbulance seriously why do shaving cuts bleed so much for so long?

After 2 weeks use its safe to say the soap bars are all but gone but I'm not too worried, I didn't find them to be a necessity they were just there. Overall though a good razor and I think i may have converted back to girly razors.
