Colourpop Cheek A true mid tone peachy pink in a matte finish – It’s time for the good times, forget about the bad times, oh yeah.

Fingertips will provide the highest amount of coverage. Brush suggestions Use a flat synthetic cheek/ foundation brush or a short duo fiber brush; flat synthetic brush will give more coverage and the duo fiber brush will give a more sheer, air brushed effect. WHEN FINISHED Close that sucker up tight! Don’t leave the jar opened for long periods of time; you may lose some of the magic that makes the Super Shock Cheek so amazzzing. Colour builds from natural- looking flushed looks to more intense bright looks. … Build to your heart’s desire!

Colourpop Blushers

When looking for beauty products it can be a bit hard to get something that’s good value for money. You don’t want to spend a fortune but you want the product to work well!

That’s where Colourpop’s blushers come in to save the day. Not only are they absolutely affordable (sometimes the website offers free international shipping if you spend over a certain amount, and that’s when I stock up on all the good stuff!) but they are also lightweight yet durable. You don’t need to apply a lot to get rosy cheeks that last all day! This also means that the product will last a long, long time.

I love Colourpop’s blushers, and I think you will too!

Tips: Get an angled blusher brush (doesn’t have to be an expensive one) and lightly apply in circles over the desired area. Don’t over-do it, you only need a little powder on the brush for perfectly rosy cheeks.

Rosy Cheeks

I heard about colorpop through a friend on social media. I’ve done multiple orders from them and I have never been disappointed from them yet. Delivery is fast considering how far away it comes from .

These blushes come in pots . They also have blush pans as well . I have both of them . I will compare both . I got the shade Pre Nup . It’s a pink blush which are my favourites and most complemented shade colours .

Consistency is matte finish . This shade I got is a buildable colour . I believe the Blush Pans are more pigmented in colour compared to these ones . I can easily get a good eight hours wear time with colour pop .

Overall I think it’s ok . I can’t say that I would recommend it to a friend . I prefer the Blush pans over these ones .

Disappointed.

I ordered three of these after looking on Colour pop’s website and seeing several colours that I liked. The packaging and size of these blushes are handy and convenient, small enough fit in my makeup bag but big enough to feel like I got my money’s worth (I mean, for $6 who could really complain!) Unfortunately, although I liked the colours (a terracotta brown, red/pink and deep red) I was not a fan of the texture. It felt almost sponge like. I would almost say it is a cream blush but I would then expect this product to be quite pigmented and blend-able and it wasn’t. Initially I tried to use a brush to apply this but I gave up after hardly any of the product transferred. I then tried my fingers which made a big difference however I did not like the way the product applied to my cheeks. I found that it was hard to blend giving my cheeks a stained look rather than a natural flush which I prefer. I attempted to wear all three colours several times and was never really happy with the outcome. This is not a product I would recommend or purchase again.

Not besties with the brush

When my Colourpop order arrived I had gone so crazy with the affordable prices that I had forgotten about the Between the Sheets blush that I had slipped into my cart at some point whilst admiring the beautiful eyeshadow shades. It is possibly one of their most talked about shades and I could immediately see why - it's a natural, subtle but gorgeous pink/blush shade. It is just as lovely when swatched, but here is where my excitement for the product started to fade...

The blush has a similar consistency to the creamy eyeshadows, but is a little more thin and chalky. Like the eyeshadows, this blush swatches beautifully with a finger but refuses to make friends with a brush. This isn't a problem with stunning metallic eyeshadows as they can be applied with a finger, but have you ever tried applying blush with your fingers? Streaky. Uneven. Weird. I just couldn't make this work with a brush yet it's not entirely a cream blush either. As stunning as the shade is, I just don't reach for this blush as I want to be able to apply a natural sweep to the cheeks easily.

Not my favourite thing from Colourpop

I'm not a fan of creamy blushes in the first instance so this is probably why I don't care for these blushes as they are of that type, even though they are somewhat pressed into a pan and look like a soft powder they work as creams and I have found that they drag base products off in areas when trying to apply.

They do come in a wonderful colour variation and are cutely packaged there is no denying that and the price point of them are quite reasonable I just don't have a place for them in my regime of my clients, if I need a cream blusher I will use an actual cream blusher that blends smoothly with the fingertips over these, applying with fingers sees too much colour added as they are overly pigmented, try fix that with a beauty sponge and you end up dragging up product which results in blotchy patches, try it with a brush and well it just goes streaky and even when applied it wears off rather quickly.

Between the Sheets: Pro's and Con's

I own Super Shock Cheek in the shade 'Between the Sheets' which is a beautiful, rose-y toned nude shade, it's very sutle and natural - a very flattering shade... it gives that naturally 'flushed' look. This would be a great shade for creating a 'no makeup - makeup' look.

PROS: As mentioned above, the shade is beautiful (and the name is super cute too, it totally suits the shade). These blushes are pigmented when swatched/used with your finger and easily buildable. The final finish looks very flawless and natural when blended out well - similar to what they say in the product description of looking 'air-brushed'.

CONS: Using a brush makes this product more difficult to work with, it's harder to get that colour pay off that you get with a finger but using a finger is certainly not my favourite means of applying a blush. I find, in my personal opinion, that it does, due to the texture/consistency, take a wee while to blend out nicely - once again, your finger does the best job of this as I think the product works best when warmed up with the heat from your hands.

CONCLUSION: Overall, I do like this blush. I don't regret buying it and it's a fantastic product for it's value. However, I can't say I have run to purchase any more and I don't reach for this blush as frequently as I do for my powder or other cream blushes, just due to it's difficulty of working it with a brush.

Tips: As mentioned, I think it's easiest to manipulate this product with your fingers, it seems easiest to work with once warmed up with the natural heat from your skin... perhaps even just running your fingers over the blush first to warm it up and then going in with a brush might make the application easier.

Little bit let down

I find that none of my brushes pick up this pigment in a way you would want for blush which means i never use it

ABSOLUTELY LOVE!

I own Colourpop's blush in Pie (how cute is the name?!) and highlighter in Wisp. Pie is an electric hot pink blush that looks freaky in the pot but, if sparingly used, provides a very natural blush on my dark olive skin. Wisp is a gorgeous gorgeous GORGEOUS goldy, bronze highlighter that is perfect and works differently on all skin tones. I cannot express how in love with the two shades I am. Apart from the fantastic range of shades Colourpop has throughout all their products, what good are the shades if the quality is [insert bad word]? Well fear not! Colourpop emit both beautiful and quality products at very decent prices.

I got my blush for $8USD, which is around $10 or so in New Zealand. The consistency of the blush is really interesting. In fact, it's almost like a putty texture. Very soft and moldable in the pot, press too hard and you'll dent it. Dented it? Then press around to mold it back. It's a funny texture, but super fun. It feels super smooth to touch and blends great once applied to the cheeks. The colour is easily buildable if required.

I too got my highlighter for $8. The highlighter is so, so "soft" to the touch. The product is super delicate as very little goes a long way. All you need to do is skim the surface of the product and you should have a tonne on your fingers. Like all Colourpop products, because the consistency is interesting, you shouldn't have too much of a harsh hand on the product as you will dent the product. The highlighter is super easy to blend and adds the perfect sheen to where I apply it. Definitely my favourite highlighter I own.

All in all, I definitely recommend Colourpop cheek products. Great shades, great quality, great price.

Tips: Use your fingers to tap on some blush to the cheeks where you want it then blend it out with a fluffy brush. For the highlighter, I recommend to again, use your fingers. Apply and blend with your fingers with ease.

Affordable high quality blushes

The blushes are fantastic but boy have I been finding it hard to love the shade people are raving about. For 5 months I've dibbled and dabbled in trying to make it work with "Between the Sheets" which is described as a matte "mid-tone beige pink". On me this looks like another typical pink but based on the description I was hoping for a more of a blend of beige and pink.

They come in Colourpop's signature clean, clear white packaging with the name in holographic lettering on the lid. It's a screw top which I don't like because to me that's just annoying; why not a flip top so it's easier to open? You actually have to remember to close this product whereas if you have a flip top you automatically just close the compact without knowing it.

The texture of the blush is incredibly silky smooth and feels so buttery when swatched. It's one of my favourite formulae - creamy to powder which is perfect for oily skin beauties. I love that there's no issue with powder kicking up so there's no wastage. Admittedly you get less product than you would in say a MAC blush but lets be real how often do we finish a blush? So I like to think that we're paying for product that we're actually going to use up.

I love to clown on my blush and was quite surprised that when I first applied this it was rather sheer. That's not a bad thing because the formula allows for you to build up the colour but even then the intensity is not enough on my chocolate skin (or for my clownish preference) until after a couple of solid swirls. Now my aim isn't to give Ronald McDonald fierce competition but I just like a solid blush on my cheeks and I expected so much more from this shade.

I apply my blush with the standard blush brush; my favourite being the affordable ELF brush because it's dense and packs on the colour. Once I got it to the kind of coverage I wanted I must say the rest of it is 100% amazing. Lasting powder is 6 hours but do note that I have oily skin so it possibly could have lasted longer had it not been for my skin type. I recommend Colourpop blushes for their fantastic formulae, longevity and price point.

A must have from ColourPop

I have to admit, before i purchased from colourpop, i drooled over photos, dreaming of what i wanted and making wishlists, and every single wishlist had colourpop blushes.

So when i finally placed my order, i brought three blushes. Prenup, cheerio and early bird. These blushes cost $8 which i think is a really reasonable price. Unfortunately, shipping of these items is more than pricey so that pushes the price up.. alot.

These blushes are packaged really simply. They come in white plastic containers which has a see through lid. This shows you the colour really well so its easy to find which blush you are after. The lid screw off to revel the blush. Easy as that.

These blushes have a really unqiue texture, they are silky and creamy, but are almost like a mousse consistency. If you press the blush with your finger, you will leave a finger mark. Its really hard to describe, but it does feel quite nice.

I find this blush is really easy to apply using a stippler blush, and this let me have great control over the application, and picks up enough product to give me the right amount of colour to my cheeks. Awesome.

These blushes are decent. But looks are deceiving in the fact that there really is not that much blush in here, and the bulky packaging is quite deceitful. However for the price, you cant really complain.
