Evolu Relaxing Creme Cleanser Review

Unfortunately this product was a let down for me due to a couple of reasons. The biggest issue I had was that this creme cleanser claims to be able to remove makeup including eye makeup. I did not find this to be effective in the eye area at all, and my eyes felt irritated and watery for some time after. You would be better off using an overall makeup remover first then washing your face with this cleanser, but there are already so many other options available that can do the job in 1 - such as balms. The other issue I had is I just didn't feel like it gave me a decent clean, I knew it was non foaming but I felt with the creaminess it would be better applied and removed with a cotton ball like some other creme cleansers rather than rinsed with water.

I will say the scent was lovely and soothing and sure it was gentle on the skin, but with the price tag attached to this and the over all results ho-hum, I think I will be giving this a miss in future.

I've really enjoyed using this product. It comes in a user friendly tube, which easily dispenses a generous amount of cleanser at one squeeze. It applies easily onto face and neck and smells heavenly! The fragrance reminds of spa treatments while on holiday. I found this product to be very gentle and therapeutic even - the skin around my nose has been bit grazed due to a nasty cold I've been nursing for the past week (and the countless boxes of tissues I've gone through!) and Evolu Relaxing Creme Cleanser has been very gentle and kind to sensitive my skin. Its gentle cleaning would leave my skin feeling light, refreshed and pampered. I would happily recommend Evolu Relaxing Creme Cleanser and will buy and use again.

I was very luck to be chosen to review this cleanser :) I am 45 and my skin needs extra help and kindness, I think this cleanser has definitely helped.

I really like the colours of the tube/packaging - it's quite understated but appears natural and earthy. The tube is a decent size at 125ml, which one would hope as the RRP is $39.99, a bit more than I would spend on a cleanser, however if it's a decent one then money well spent.

I normally use cleansing wipes but do find they don't really remove all the makeup and dirt. I admit that I am a bit lazy, hence the reason I use wipes :)

I like the smell, nothing really strong or overpowering and is very natural and botanical.

The tube has a flip top which I much prefer to a screw cap, easier to use. The cleanser is a lovely creamy consistency and is non-foaming, so I just wet my fingers slightly and applied in a gentle rubbing circular motion all over my face and neck. I removed with a fairly warm face cloth, which I think makes a difference for my skin anyway.

It didn't make my skin feel tight or dry once I had removed and before I applied moisturiser which is a big plus for me. My sister makes her own organic moisturiser and I use this after I have cleansed and I think with the combination of the cleanser and moisturiser it has made a difference to my skin :)

I love that it is anti-aging with the Calendula, something I really need now and the mixture of Apricot Extract, Geranium and St John's Wort I believe is a great mix for my skin.

I have been using it for around 4 nights and I think my skin will improve even more with constant use. I am actually very interested in trying more of their products now as I really like this cleanser.

I would definitely use this cleanser again and would look into more of their products.

I have never used Evolu before but the ingredients in this Relaxing Crème Cleanser sounded healthy, natural and soothing...Calendula, Geranium, Apricot and St John's Wort. A garden of natural healing in a tube. I have used the cleanser once a day of eight days and am very impressed with the outcome. It was a bit weird not using a foaming cleanser as I usually do and I must admit I was sceptical that this product would do such a good job - but I think it cleans beautifully and the way it leaves my skin is wonderful. I wet my face then rub in a small amount of cleanser all over my face and neck - especially my nose which is a problem area for oil buildup and black heads. A great clean when rinsed off with water. And a gentle pleasant scent too. I can truly say my skin has tested the claims of being suitable for all skin types. I have an oily T zone and dry patches on cheeks. Evolu Relaxing Crème Cleanser left my whole face moisturised and while I expected a break out in the oily areas, there has been none. It both relaxed and nourished my skin. The only reason I would not continue with the product is the price. $40 is too much for me - a luxury item rather than an use everyday item in my budget. But Evolu is definitely on my radar now for truful claims and natural products.

Using the product for the 1st time

Opening the product it has the smell of natural extracts that are refreshing and not overpowering. I was surprised when using it that I only needed a 1.5 pea size to do my whole face and neck. This product is going to last a long time when it is 125ml in size. When on the face it was not foaming up like you would typically see with a cleanser product. It doesn't feel heavy on the skin it makes your face feel silky before even washing it off. After washing it off the product leaves your skin feeling softer and feels silky without even touching it (you will understand when trying it). The smell of extracts did not leave the scent on my skin.

Results

Well, of course, my results varied differently from my daughter (Miss 12) who I roped into trying the product as well. For my skin it has reduced skin discolouration and reduced my acne, my skin has softened up instead of feeling rough and dry around the cheeks and chin, my forehead usually became very oily by the end of the day but this seems to have reduced the amount of oil my skin has produced (which has also helped with blemishes). I am confident that continuing to use this product I will continue to see improvements to my skin as older skin has a lot more to repair, I am sure my results will increase over the next month. My daughter's result was amazing she is currently suffering from “hormonal changes acne” which is unforgiving and embarrassing! I have seen a 50% improvement in her skin, her acne I am sure will be completely clear within the next 2 weeks. She is also saying her skin feels soft and less yucky (I can only assume this is in relation to the oiliness). This product is definitely worth trying especially on the younger skin as no harsh chemicals are in it to damage the young skin.

Conclusion

Overall I believe this is a product worth investing in and I am sure you will see results quickly as well. My daughter is definitely beaming from ear to ear with her new skin :)

I was quite surprised how much I liked this creme cleanser, I had tried a different brand before and it made me breakout so I was a little bit nervous with trying this. The packaging is nice, it has a real natural look to it. I love the fact that it's NZ made and has no nasty chemicals in it. It says that it protects, repairs and renews and is ideal for sensitive and mature skin which is perfect for my skin. The smell of this creme cleanser is so good, i really like washing my face with it because of the smell. it has quite a strong scent but it's really nice to use at night and in the morning, makes me want to just wash my face all the time! The cleanser isn't thick, it's quite light and smooths onto my face and neck really well. It did an awesome job at getting my makeup off and even my eye makeup without irritating my eyes which was great. I have already used this cleanser every day since I received it and I found that it gave my skin a bit of moisture, it doesn't dry it out, and I haven't broken out with spots at all. I think the only reason I wouldn't buy it is because of the price, it's quite alot for a cleanser but knowing how well it works I would buy it every now and then.

Evolu are a great brand, everything I've used of theirs I've loved. Their products are 'nasty chemical' free and have lots of natural ingredients that are good for your skin.

This cleanser is a mouisturiser-like consistency. It has quite a floral scent, but it is not over powering. The best thing about it is that it is great for sensitive skin/eyes; I use it all over my face, close too my eyes, and it doesn't irritate at all. Even with my Nivea cleanser I can experience some slight irritation.

I tend to 'double' use this in the evenings; I apply it all over my face to remove my makeup, wash it off, then apply again to cleanse my skin. It doesn't state that it's a makeup remover but is a gentle and effective way of taking your makeup off.

I have been using Evolu Relaxing Creme Cleanser for a few days now. I noticed the differences between Evolu and other products. Normally my face will feel very tight and dry after using cleansing soap, but with Evolu Relaxing Creme Clenser, I feel my skin soft and moist afterwards. I love the relaxing smell, and will definitely use Evolu again in the future.

I found his cleanser to be just like most other cleansers i have used unfortunately. It washes my face well and removes any make up i have on but i have to lightly scrub at it for a bit to get it all off. I have used this for a week now and haven't really seen any difference to my skin when it comes to cleaning out my pores or helping with any impurities i have. I did like the formula and very subtle fragrance is has and the packaging is lovely. The tube it comes in is very easy to use and there wouldn't be very much wastage. I am very underwhelmed when it comes to this product which is a shame.

I will be using it for another week and then my mother would like to try it so hopefully it works for more mature skin. (which i will get her to record and update this review from her point of view)

All natural and oh so gentle. Removes make up and leaves my face incredibly balanced. Lightly scented.
