The name coconut should of given me a hint as Coconut in any form has always dried out my skin and hair so this came as no great shock . The shampoo dried out and thinned my hair and left a strong coconut nauseating scent which irritated my eye lids . My scalp and skin looked inflamed so there might of been an allergic reaction also so be wary

Tips: If you have very oily hair and scalp and aren’t allergic to coconut go for your life but if your like me with sensitive skin and eyes then give it a huge miss as there are many more cheaper products that do a better job
Grabbed this up recently as I had done it again and forgot to stock up on my Curly Whirly shampoo so a quick trip to the supermarket resulted in me grabbing OGX Coconut Water Shampoo to give a whirl.
I love the shape and design of the OGX bottles, in their dumpy shape with easy to lid, which sees virtually every drop of product gets used. This coconut water shampoo comes in a clear bottle version so you can see the contents, well kind of as the formula is a clear colour too. With the details being printed onto a label which too is clear. Makes for a very pretty package, especially as it sits alongside the Coconut Water Conditioner that I picked up at the same time on the in shower shelf.
Formula wise this shampoo feels like a gel more than a shampoo, but a little more wetter so it squeezes out of the bottle, run through your damp hair a palm full sized amount sees it lather slightly but nothing too dramatic.
Once rinsed out it doesn't leave my hair feeling like straw too much, there is always going to be that coarseness with my hair, it is just its type but with this shampoo it has a squeaky clean feel that once a small amount of conditioner has been put through leaves my hair soft, shiny and smelling faintly of coconut.
Hasn't caused me to have an itchy scalp or any other advise reactions, manages to keep my hair shape nicely but doesn't give that definition that I look for with my curls, as it makes the hair too soft, but works as a great filler in for those moments when I have run out of my normal one.
I really like this shampoo. It smells like coconuts (but it doesn't linger long afterwards in my hair) and it's very gentle on my hair. I shampoo twice and I find I don't have to use a lot of product to get a nice foam and clean results. I don't feel that this product is too drying on my hair which I like in a shampoo. I also have an OCD thing where I have to use the matching conditioner but this products partner is the let down of the duo. It's a good shampoo but sadly I won't be buying it again because the conditioner is no good for my colour treated hair.
Other than Redken for my colour treated hair, I've never wanted anything fancy for my locks, just a product that will help keep it clean, leave it smelling lovely and feeling ilke it's well looked after. I think I've found it in this shampoo. I added this to my wish list after reading BR KirstyJ's review (below) and I don't regret it at all.
I picked up the travel kit from Beauty Bliss for $32 (includes Tangle Teezer) which I must say was a mission to remove from the soft plastic kit to the point where I pulled off the actual bronze gold lid (no drama I could easily attach it back on without affecting the functionality).
I love the simple clear packaging, it makes me think that the focus is really on the quality of the product. It has quite a thick gel consistency to the point that if you don't firmly dispense the product, it will be sucked back into the bottle. I found however that if you massage the product into your hand you risk melting the product away so just massage once or twice then apply to hair.
It lathers up quite nicely but disappears after a few minutes after letting it just sit in my hair. What I love is that when I wash out the shampoo, my hair doesn't feel dry and straw like - it doesn't feel extremely smooth but it definitely has a better texture.
The product smells just like coconut water but better in my opinion. I find that the scent lasts quite well in my hair; on the 3rd day it's still very much lingering in my locks so I'm really happy with that aspect of the product. It doesn't improve my fight with dandruff but it doesn't make it worse either so that's still good to me. Would I repurchase? Absolutely.
Tips: Use in conjunction with the Coconut Water Conditioner.
When massaging the product in your hand; don't overdo it or the product will just melt away.
Last time I was in my local Life Pharmacy I happened upon a few of the travel sized OGX Shampoo's and Conditioners. I had wanted to try some OGX products for a while but I was majorly put off by the price, so being able to get the Shampoo and Conditioner for $8.99 each in a travel size was great. I do occasionally travel for work or to see family so I knew these would come in handy anyway.
The packaging is quite simple for these which I really like. The shampoo comes in a clear bottle with a gold flip top lid. I like the clear bottle because you know how much you have left. It seems quite sturdy which is great for travelling. At the back of the bottle is a picture that you can see from the front of some fresh coconut which is lovely. The bottle is easily squeezable too which I like. It does really look quite classy.
I am loving the scent of this, it is like a subtle coconut slash tropical sort of smell which is delicious but not something that you will smell over your perfume. It is a bit of a thicker gel consistency but you don't need much to be able to lather it up well. After using this my hair felt clean, but not overly dry or knotty which is great. I do wonder if this is something to do with being zero sls/sles so I'm keen to try more products without sls/sles. Afterwards my hair did feel quite weightless as they suggested.
I have never used any expensive shampoo's or conditioners before, but I am actually really impressed with these and will consider buying the big sizes (if they're on special).
I bought all 3 products in this set and boy was i impressed. I was lucky enough to get this while in the US where is costs a paltry $6 per bottle so if it turned out to be abit meh it was no biggie. I will definatly be buying this here as it is totally worth the money. The packaging is nice and compact so fits nicely in the shower. It has a subtle perfume and I found it made my hair feel great even before the conditioner.
Tips: Definately use as part of a complete system, it's worth spending that little bit more for awesome hair
It's drying like a detergent formula rather then a shampoo.Sure, it smells good but thats all there is. No thanks to this.
