First brush ever

This was my first brush I ever had . I was so unsure of how confident I would be with brushes and if they were better than a beauty blender. But this was awesome ! Especially for a first brush . I didn't want full coverage and that's what it achieved. I definitely recommend this to my friends who don't have brushes or are new to make up !

Tips: Don't layer the makeup on too much as it sometimes streaks

Cheap but not that practical

Another iherb order, another random product popped into my cart. I love brushes and when I saw this at $3 it was so easy to just pop it in with the rest of my goodies. One of my favourite brushes is a stippling brush (a MAC one) so I thought I couldn't fail with picking this up.

The brush itself has quite a long thicker light handle in matte black. On that the name of the brush is written in white. The metal ferrule is also shiny black and the hairs are black also with the white tips. The hairs are extremely soft. Because all the hairs are quite long they are very soft.

Personally I haven't actually found to many uses for it. I did find it great with a creamy blush as it creates a really diffused natural look. Also great for smoothing and blending out blush if you have applied too much. Because the hairs are quite flimsy is isn't great for moving around foundation. Also it is too big for me to do contour. And it doesn't pick up enough pigment for me to powder my face. I haven't had any problems with this shedding at all.

If you use cream blush regularly you might enjoy this brush, but I didn't find that many uses for it. But for the price it isn't that much concern.

I'm still waiting on purchasing a cream blush so haven't yet tried it for that, but like you, I've found no other use for it. I'm so confused about how it works for some people with applying foundation!

I feel the same way as you, I got this last year but hated it for foundation. Just recently I've been using it for cream blush. I can't figure out any other use for it though

Great performer

For a low end, cheap brush i was really impressed. I got this brush on holiday when i left my go to brushes at home. I thought it would be something that would get the bin after a couple of uses but that hasnt been the case! Its soft, has very little fall out and seems to be holding up really well.

Tips: Like any brush when washinh be cautious of water going into the handle

Elf Stipple Brush

The elf strippling brush has very soft bristles. I am not the biggest fan of this brush, i have tried it with liquid foundation and it just isnt dense enough for my liking it took me forever in a day just to apply my foundation and i had to use another brush to just buff it in to my skin more. I also have tried it with blush/highlighter and it was good for that as it didnt pick up to much product and gave me a nice soft highlight. Although it is good for a highlighting brush it's just something I dont use every day or even very often, so in my opion it was a waste of money as i had high hopes for it after hearing so much about strippling brushes! i brought mine off iherb for $4 so it was super cheap! I have had the brush around six months and i am still yet to see any shedding so its a great brush it just isnt the brush for me. I would still recommend to a friend as every one likes different brushes.

Less Than Impressed

I purchased the elf Stipple Brush at the end of last year when I was looking for a brush for my liquid foundation. However, I found this brush terrible for the job! Although the bristles are soft, have had zero fallout so far, and the brush itself is visually quite chic, the bristles were simply not dense enough to apply liquid foundation. I found the product was very difficult to apply and blend in, and I ended up having to use my fingers to compact the brush in order for the bristles to be tightly packed enough.

However, I found this brush worked great for powder and blusher! So would recommend for those products, and not for liquid makeup.

I've tried this with foundation and just can't get it looking nice. I much prefer a sponge or dense kabuki. I think I will have to try this brush out with blush so thanks for the tip
