Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara Review

On my search for an amazing drugstore mascara I decided to pick this up. The price is what enticed me, as well as the cute packaging. I really like the green design on the black. The brush looked like the type of brush that I like as well.

I am quite picky with mascara. I like my mascara to separate my lashes, I am not a fan of my lashes looking clumpy. I thought that the brush looked as though it would do a good job at separating my lashes. Unfortunately I was wrong.

This is scentless and very, very black - which I like. It also doesn't irritate my sensitive eyes which is awesome. However, I really dislike this mascara.

Firstly it is a super thick formula. It almost feels like tar being coated on my lashes :( Also this is a really wet formula - so you have to be careful when applying it and you must let it dry before doing anything in case you blink and it smears everywhere.

This does tend to flake just a tiny little bit when I wear it - though this isn't as bad as some other mascaras. It isn't the easiest thing to remove, either.

Overall I would skip this. It makes my lashes look like a few giant clumps - which is something I don't like. I won't be repurchasing this.

I recently discovered this mascara after seeing it posted all over TikTok and also at the recommendation of my niece, I’m so glad I did!

I’d been looking for a cheaper alternative to use daily instead of my expensive high end mascara and this has done the trick.

I love the formula as it’s wet and non drying. I like that it coats the lashes nicely and the colour is dark and intense.

It’s easy enough to remove at the end of the day and doesn’t leave you with panda eyes or make you scrub it off.

I do find that I need to apply at least a couple of coats to get the desired effect.

Really enjoyed this mascara! while I do believe essence have better mascaras for me, this one is really good!, super affordable and gives length and volume to your lashes! highly recommend.

I have been using Maybelline One by One for YEARS. I love the rubber brush that individually coats and separate the lashes. I have tried other wands and brands, but always threw them in the bin after a couple uses. As I get older (or simply rub my eyes too much) it seems my lashes just aren’t as thick and fluttery as they used to be. So I did a quick google for a mascara that would be good for thin lashes and this one came up. I went straight to Farmers the next day and bought one. I also googled tips to add volume and it seems a lash primer would be a good idea (got me one of those too). The combination of primer and mascara gives me lash miracles!

I thought I would hate the brush because it is a bristle brush, but I don’t. The bristles are tapered and feathered around the wand head nicely. I have precise controlled application, and doing the lower lashes is easy too.

I have even had tears while wearing this mascara and it didn’t seem to run.

And because the item is so cheap, what have you got to lose. Give it a go! You might be surprised

I like to watch YouTube reviews before I go out and buy something and I researched the 'Essence lash princess false lash effect mascara a lot before I ventured out to get it. I heard nothing but glowing reviews and so I was excited to purchase it. I purchased it at an affordable price as essence is a very affordable brand. I am not impressed with this mascara, it just clumps on my lashes and has major fall out. There are mascaras around the same price range that I would rather purchase to be honest. So overall wouldn't recommend.

This is one of my favorite mascaras! Absolutely does what it says and after a few coats my lashes look long and thick - I always get heaps of compliments . It's also very affordable at around $7- $8

I would have to say this was probably one of my least favourite products of 2017. I watched rave reviews and thought this would be my go-to affordable mascara but alas it's just another overhyped product.

My sister picked this up for me for AUD$6-7. It came completely sealed in plastic so you know it hasn't been tampered with. It's not the prettiest packaging, it reminds me of children's makeup - tacky and cheap but if it performs fantastic then I could care less.

Unfortunately this was a dud for me. I was rather disheartened when I saw the conical wand; it was saturated with product. I could easily wipe off the excess but there was still product inbetween which I felt affected how it applies. Despite being quite a wet formula I found that additional coats just created clumpy lashes and it gave me that dreaded "did-not-take-my-2-days-old-mascara-off" lash look.

It definitely added thickness to my lashes but I wouldn't call that dramatic. I didn't notice too much added length either. In terms of longevity the mascara held up well and I didnt notice any flaking or smudging. But this is not enough for me to repurchase or recommend to others.

Purchased this specifically as I have heard a lot about it on social media. Really cute mint coloured heart and ribbon details on the packaging. Wand tapers down a smaller point. Does what it says it will. Creates a false lash effect which I enjoy the look of. One coat is enough, though 2 coats can give you that extra look. 2 coats can give a clumpy look sometimes and I also find it to be quite heavy, like my eyes are weighed down.

I like the look, and its affordable. Its not my favourite from the brand but wouldn't hesitate to repurchase in future.

For the last month I've been using the false lash mascara and I was shocked that it stayed on in this heat, I also went swimming and thought I would have panda eyes but I didn't. It can actually be hard to get off. Con.. The wand is big and everytime I try to put it on my bottom lashes I end up with it on my under eye area. Other than that I really like it. It was only $7.45.
