I really didn't want to like this because of the price... unfortunately this ticked every one of my wants in a mascara - which is quite impressive as I am extremely picky about mascara's.
When I was in the USA I got this in a gift as part of a Sephora purchase. I hadn't tried any Bobbi Brown mascaras and honestly didn't really have high hopes as I am fussy re mascara.
The packaging isn't anything special and nor is the brush. Both look fairly standard and you could be fooled into thinking that this wasn't going to be any good.
As my mum taught me, don't judge a book by its cover - and that definitely was true here. This is amazing at making my lashes liik seperated, long and thick. Because I have naturally long and thick lashes I don't like a clumpy formula and veer away from mascaras that make my lashes look clumped together. If you like a super thick, clumpy formula then you likely won't enjoy this.
This doesn't flake or budge throughout the day and is easy to remove. Unfortunately the price makes me hesitant to repurchase this - even though I absolutely love it.
Although I have my favourites I can usually make any mascara work well but this mascara just wasn't for me. The first thing I noticed was the price - substantially more than I would usually pay for a mascara. I made the mistake of purchasing this without seeing the brush which brings me to the second thing that I noticed... the massive brush. I found it far too big to allow for an easy, even application. I couldn't get to the root of my lashes, I couldn't achieve an even coating and I stabbed myself in the eye far too many times. This mascara had transferred before I had even finished applying. I have pretty standard lashes - reasonably full with a natural curl, so it is rare for me to find a mascara that is so difficult to apply. I won't be reaching for this mascara again.
