I received Soften Her to review. I wasn't sure what to expect as at first I thought it was some type of hair removal product for the bikini area. I was surprised when I opened the package and there were three round discs that almost looked like nail buffers with an elastic band on the back. After reading the instructions on how to use the product, I gave it a go after my next shower. I normally shave my bikini area so I used Soften her for three days after shaving. You rub the pad in a circular motion against the hair to soften stubble/coarse regrowth and it also is supposed to help prevent ingrown hairs. After using Soften Her for the first time, I did feel a difference in the skin texture of my bikini area. It felt very smooth and over the next couple days, the slight regrowth definitely felt smoother and not so coarse. I think over time this product will be great to use in between shaving to keep your bikini area smooth and prevent ingrown hairs.

Tips: Rub the Soften Her pads in a circular motion over any areas that hair feels like it grows back coarse. A few circular motions will do the trick and skin should feel smoother and the regrowth should come back a lot smoother!
I'm really not feeling it. The time it takes to "soften" the rough hairs on your leg takes three times longer than actually shaving. It exfoliates okay but in all honesty, I would rather use a body scrub and exfoliate the whole shebang. Basically they've taken a nail file, made it circular and passed it off as a revolutionary shortcut. Its awkwardly shaped, so if you're attempting to soften your "her" or underarm area, you're seriously out of luck and it's so small that doing your entire leg takes forever. Sorry Soften Her, this one's an absolute fail!
Tips: Maybe try it as a nail file
Personally I found that this product was too time consuming to use on your legs. I felt as though you needed to take your time therefore I think it would be quicker just to shave your legs again.
however it was super good for the underarms and especially the downstairs! Really made the hairs feel smoother. and i felt as though it left my skin smoother than when shaving
I dont personally don't get ingrown hairs or razor bumps so cannot comment on if it does or does not reduce these.
I also think the product is very good value for money as it comes with 3 pads and the pads can be used numerous times!!
Tips: Make sure you do not press to roughly as it can cause you to break the surface of your skin.
I was given this product to trial. I'm always interested in trying out new products as you never know when you'll find your next 'holy grail'. Unfortunately, this product isn't even close to being a 'holy grail' for me personally.
The product comes as three individually wrapped pink, round exfoliaters/hair softeners which have one soft side that has an elastic band for you to hold onto, while the underside is literally like a piece of sandpaper. You can use this product on any area that you shave to reduce the prickly feeling you get and to help smoothen your skin and this product is reusable which means great value for money.
I was eager to try this product out and used it after my second day of shaving my legs. You very gently rotate it over the area in a clockwise direction and then again anti clockwise for 15 seconds.
At first I was amazed yet grossed out at all the dead skin that was falling to the ground. My legs felt super soft and I thought, wow this product is fantastic! That feeling sadly didn't stay long.
DAY 1: later on during that first day, I noticed that my hair had returned to begin prickly and was no longer soft. Towards the late evening, I noticed red spotty blotches on both legs. I wondered if this was because it was my first time using a product like this???
DAY 2: both legs were still red and blotchy. When I hoped into the shower, the water made my legs sting really bad (I only washed my legs with water as they stung too much). Later that night, my legs became itchy and some small areas were raw.
DAY 3: the redness had disappeared but my legs were still itchy and stung (very sore/sensitive to touch)
DAY 4: my legs are no longer itchy, but they are extremely sensitive when anything touches them and I am unable to shave due to this so I hope it goes away soon.
I'd like to mention that I'm not allergic to anything and have never had any problems with body exfoliaters/scrubs before. I am not sure if my experience is a reaction to the product or if other ladies are having similar issues?
I personally wouldn't recommend this product and obviously won't be purchasing it either simply due to what's happened to me but I do thank Beauty Review for giving me the opportunity to trial this as despite my outcome, I do enjoy trying new products :-)
Tips: Make sure you don't press too hard, this product is literally like a piece of sandpaper.
I had high hopes for this product, I mean who doesn't want to get rid of the prickles that follow shaving. However I was very disappointed in this product. It comes with 3 circular pink pads, one side is soft with elastic for you to put your fingers under, the other looks like sandpaper. I followed the instructions in the box, massage clockwise, then anti-clockwise for 15 seconds each. It honestly felt like I was using sandpaper or a nail file on my legs. It seemed like it was doing the job however as my legs felt much smoother BUT....
Once I went to bed that night the heat of my electric blanket made the leg I had used the product on feel like it was on fire. It felt as if I had taken the top layer of skin off my leg. The next day the pain was still there, even using soap in the shower hurt. I would definitely not recommend this product to be used anywhere on your body, unless you like exfoliating with sandpaper. The result lasted for less than 12 hours, as my legs were just as prickly as normal the next morning.
I was really hoping this would help stop in-grown hairs around my bikini line, but really it just left my downstairs area red, sore, and bleeding at every hair follicle. It's basically like rubbing sandpaper in circular motions on your delicate skin. I choose prickly hair over raw skin any day! I will never use this product again.
Tips: Don't use it on wet skin as it just slides around and is a bugger to hold onto.
This product really does smoothen out your shaving stubble! Used after 1-2 days of not shaving and it made the area so much smoother and soft to the touch. The product (weirdly) smells nice too haha. Although only thing that sucks is if you scratch the area after youve used the product, you will scratch skin off and it hurts ;( but overall good product!
I used the soften me pads on multiple areas, but found the under arm a wee bit too sensitive. It definitely did what it said it would do-Thoroughly exfoliated my legs and softened stubble... but the amount of time it took to do this I could've just whipped over them with a razor! I did really like the level of exfoliation it gave. I think I would be more likely to use it pre tanning, than to soften stubble.
On a side note I used it on my husbands arms-he gets little ingrown hairs that cause little bumps so I used it with quite a bit of pressure and his arms came up virtually bump free in 2 days
Tips: Make sure you don't use too much pressure if you have sensitive skin, or in more sensitive areas ie: underarm
