Tips: Exfoliate your hair before going in the shower! Take a brush and brush it in circular motions on your scalp - especially if you have dandruff - to shake off dry skin :)
Ive not been a fan or used this brand for years. If you google up about the brand / if it is bad for your hair you will see many horror reviews The main additive to blame is silicone which builds up in the hair as it does not fully wash out. Truth be told silicone / dimenthicone is in most hair products including so called professional ones if you read the back of the bottle I prefer to use silicone free hair care so to hear of a silicone free product up for review certainly interested me. I was not impressed with the big extra sticker on the bottles they should of just put it on the original label and in general I do not like pump dispenser bottles for bath and shower products. Reading the back of the bottle I see it is not free of sulphates - they make shampoo or bath gel very bubbly but are drying to skin and hair. I'm not suprised because with claims of silicone paraben and dye free it would have said if it was sulfate free too. Having a sniff I thought the smell is rather quite nice. I used the product several times and let family try it too. I like that a little goes a fair way with the shampoo I don't feel multiple pumps or repeat is required. Hair felt soft afterwards (i used the matching conditioner too) but was not like noticeably softer than before use. I did feel like I got a good clean though in fact I did get a bit of an itchy scalp but i half expected that as the time we had to review the product was shortened so I had to wash my hair more than usual to give a fair trial. Now I really am not familiar with "micellar" products in general so that has next to no meaning or influence on me. Doing research he role of micelles in shampoo is to deep cleanse. So its like a clarifying shampoo removing buildup and impurities but supposedly more gentle. This makes me think it could make a good body wash too. Micelles for skin/scalp can still be too harsh drying and irritate so this is something to be aware if you have sensitive skin. while the micelles are good at pulling dirt and oil from the skin it removes some of the protective acid mantle and over doing this will stimulate more oil production from imbalance. You can read up more about micelles yourself. Back to my thoughts on this shampoo. I think this is a good one if you tend to use alot of hair products to remove them or like a detox. I will use this every now and then for a thorough clean as I do tend to get oily roots at times and I like that a little goes along way with this but due to me getting itchy I can say It is not gentle enough for me to use very frequently or gentle enough for daily use like in the companys description. I really like that this is silicone and paraben free and especially that the matching conditioner is without silicone. Micelles in hair care is quite new so Pantene is keeping up with trends and updated their products by making a micelle series.
Doing a trial for the pantene pro v blends micellar shampoo an so far it's a hit, I got this a couple of days ago and have 3 people in my house hold using it. My 5 year old son who has natural dead straight hair, my mum who has coloured naturally curly hair, and myself since 14 have had continuously bleached and brightly colored hair. It not only smells amazing but left all our hair with a variety of textures and conditions, feeling an smelling amazing getting the oil ,sweat an product's washed out in a single shampoo. Once we get to use this further i will update my review.
I was lucky enough to be selected as part of the trial team for this product, and I'm sure glad I did otherwise I probably wouldn't have paid $13 for a 300ml bottle (tight-arse, I know!). Starting with the packaging, it's sleek, it's minimal, it has a salon vibe to it which reflects what's inside the bottle. It's a pump top bottle which is totally up my alley; fast, no mess, and once you know how many pumps you need there's no wastage from an accidental over squeeze! Extra bonus is the bottle is see through so you can see how much product is left without having to do that 'do I need to buy more shampoo' bottle shake. The only negative I have is that the ingredients are hard to read on the back because of the opaque font. Now we all know it's whats on the inside that counts, so enough about the packaging! The texture is like most other shampoos I've tried but definitely less gel like. Already feels more "natural". It lathers really well and the smell is incredible. It's floral, and I'd say almost hairdresser'y (great English ha!!), but it is quite strong so if you didn't like the scent it might be a bit overbearing. It washes out easily and left my hair feeling clean but not stripped, and definitely softer than it normally feels after regular Pantene (my normal shampoo). So all in all I think this shampoo is fantastic. Definitely worth the extra pennies! I'll be buying it and keeping stashed away from my children and hubby!
I loved the bottle of this shampoo, it was small enough that it was a great size in your hands. I love the smell of the product and my hair feels great once I use it. I'd definitely recommend this.
Absolutely cannot fault this shampoo at all! Both me and my sister have used it and we’re so happy with how clean it makes our hair feel! It’s super gentle (no harsh chemicals) and has a pleasant scent too! Would definitely recommend and i’ll be purchasing this once it runs out!
Tips: Only use a tiny bit as a little goes a long way!
I like the look of the packaging, does not look crass. Also It comes in a pump that is easy to dispense. The smell of the shampoo is quite pleasant, not too chemically or heady. The shampoo felt quite light in consistency compared to other shampoos but created enough lather. I have oily scalp and dry ends. After washing my hair felt really soft and smooth. The best thing I liked about this shampoo is there was hardly any hair breakage. I have hair below shoulder length and with other shampoos there tends to be some broken hair but none with this one. It definitely gets a tick from me
Tips: Just a tiny bit can create a lot of lather.
I really like the pump bottle! It’s so easy to use in the shower when you have slippery hands. I like the ridges on the bottle too, helps with grip!
The smell of the shampoo is so good! It’s fresh and reminds me of cucumber and watermelon. My hair smells delicious hours after I’ve washed it too which is good!
The shampoo lathers up really well and I feel like it really cleans my hair well. It doesn’t weigh my hair down either which is a plus!!
Tips: Shampoo twice for the best clean effect
Accepted as part of the trial team, thanks BR! I hadn't used Pantene products in about a decade so was excited to try this. I like the simple but stylish blue circular bottle packaging with pump top. It reminds me of the ocean. It is slightly scented. Consistency is gel like. I only need about one and a half pumps for my thick, long, curly/wavy hair as this suds up a fair bit. It's a really light formula that doesn't weigh my hair down or make my hair squeaky clean.
Due to the trial period being a bit short, I only got to use this 3 times. However, in saying that I found this to be really cleansing. I have super oily roots and my hair feels gently but thoroughly clean. I tend to wash my hair every second day or so but have no doubt that this could be used daily. Particularly in the summer I imagine this would be a most suitable product.
I haven't used a Micellar shampoo before but have enjoyed using this. Overall i'm really impressed. Initial results are great but I will be continuing to use over the coming month and will update review when I have used for a longer period of time.
UPDATE: have been using for over a month and still enjoy using this product. Results are the same. Still amazes me I don't need to use as much product compared to other brands of shampoo. Really would get your money's worth.
Tips: Be careful how much product you pump out as it gets sudsy when mixed with a bit of water.
I used this instead of my usual Pantene proV shampoo and it made my hair so much softer. I love the scent too, very refreshing. Makes hair feel so clean too. The only negative is that it's hard to find in shops these days
