I received the Australis eyeliner in a beauty vault purchase. I was pleasantly surprised. I have tried more expensive brands of eyeliner, that were not as pigmented and faded throughout the day. I use this in my tightline to bring some depth to my eyes, and make my lashes appear thicker and more full. It is so easy to apply, pigmented from the first to last stroke. It also lasts all day, and I like how it has to be sharpened rather than wound up.

There is nothing worse than buying an eye pencil and it’s hard to apply, rough to the eye and doesn’t run well: I had none of these issues. This glides beautifully it’s creamy and runs well. It gives a lovely finish and is a very reasonable price. My new go to!
This eye pencil has been a holy grail for many years, a few years ago when the Velour lips were released they had a gift with purchase which happened to be their blackest black eye pencil. Since then I've tried various black eye liner pencils but always go back to this one.
The packaging is a black glossy finish, there is a pink line that goes around the end of the pencil, it makes finding this pencil easy with all the others.
The formula is soft and creamy, it glides smoothly and it is very pigmented. Applying the eye liner is easy but if I apply it to the top lid ,the pencil needs to be set with powder as it will smudge. This pencil is also great for creating a smokey eye using the eyeliner as a base and then applying eye shadows over the top. Using this on the waterline creates an intense eye makeup, I like to apply this to the waterline and just below it before blending out the edge with a dense fluffy brush.
I will repurchase again, I have repurchased this pencil more than I can count, the price is good and the product works very well.
Tips: For hooded eyes: If applying as top eyeliner use a black eye shadow to set as it will transfer to the top of the eyelid.
Use as a base for smokey eyes, apply the pencil where you would like the darkest parts then follow in with eye shadow and blend out.
I love this eyeliner it doesnt smudge and goes on efortlessly im not a fan of liquid ive always preferred pencil or crayon and this is definately one of my faves if you are looking for black black eyeliner this is the one you need
Tips: Remember to always wipe the tip of your eyeliner eyes get infected easy even if noone else uses your makeup its still possible to get infections off dirty pencils etc
i got this a while ago but recently sharpened it back up and got to work. it sharpened nicely and to a soft point.
it goes on easily and doesnt smudge... for about 5 minutes. i noticed it on the way to town that it had already smudged and it was giving me panda eyes. not impressed.
doesnt pull the skin, like it literally glides on. but the smudging i cant get past unfortunately.
I’m not a huge fan of eyeliner pencils because having to sharpen them all the time drives me bonkers.
But this pencil did make me reconsider my position on the matter.
This pencil was smooth, didn’t drag and lasted all day (and night).
Yes it did need sharpening, but not nearly as often as I thought it would.
The pencil has also lasted a really long time.
All in all: good quality and value for money.
I've tried many eyeliner pencils over the years, but after using this Australis one, I keep coming back to it. I still try the odd new one out there, but Australis' pencil is definitely a favourite for me. Why?
It's super soft and easy to apply. It glides on smoothly and doesn't pull or drag at the eyelid - I can get the perfect tightline in just one wiggle across my upper eyelid (I can't do that with other brands). The pencil doesn't scratch, the colour is bold and doesn't clump between the eyelashes. It lasts all day (and into the night), and even though the pencil itself does need to be sharpened, it doesn't require sharpening as often as other pencils, so it actually lasts longer, too.
Would I recommend this? Definitely. Would I use it again? I have a spare one waiting in my make-up bag.
Tips: Be a little light-handed the first time you use it. If you apply it too heavily or put too much in one spot, it can smudge.
Pretty sure I got mine in a vault last year. Really does glide well, no pulling or tugging at all. Very pigmented black, I enjoy using this. It is a black pencil with hot pink metallic writing, standard but sleek looking. Find it to be a bit smudgey but think its normal really with a pencil liner. I would repurchase this.
Scored this pencil through a recent Beauty Review Vault, when in need of a black eye pencil.
I had not tried any Australis eye liners before.
This is a good little pencil. It's definitely a kohl pencil rather than a waterproof stay-all-day variety. However, it does however stay in place pretty well all day, especially on the top lid. You might need a touch-up if you wanted to freshen up before going out for the evening or such like.
I like that it's smooth and creamy to apply, not too soft or too hard. My eyelids are quite crepey but I can get a good line without any skipping. With the addition of a little brush, I can smudge this one to my heart's content.
Sharpens easily with a standard eye pencil sharpener.
This has become my day to day go to now that I can't get the Avon kohl liner. Goes on smooth, lasts well enough, removes easily and is cheap enough that I can justify wearing it for day to day non exciting events!
