L'Oréal Paris More Than a Concealer

I was sent this product to trial and have loved trying it out! I wear concealer under my eyes every time I do my makeup and I like a good full coverage concealer, I get lots of redness and dark under eyes. The main things I look for in concealer is something that will cover my redness and dark under eye area, sit nicely on my skin and not dry out my skin. This concealer does all of these so well.

The consistency of this concealer is quite thick and I don't need much to cover my under eye area. I've been dotting this lightly a few times underneath my eyes and that's enough to cover everything I want covered. I don't need to use much, which makes me think that this concealer will last me ages - even with regular use. It blends out easily and smoothly. I love how it looks on my skin. Even though the consistency is quite thick, it doesn't feel heavy on my skin.

Once set with powder, it doesn't crease at all and lasts all day. At the end of each day of wearing this it looked the same, didn't crease or start showing redness or darkness anything. My skin has been quite dry lately, and this concealer didn't feel dry on my skin at all. It didn't cling to any dry patches and looked smooth and felt light on my skin.

I also used this to cover spots and I was pleased to find that it did a good job of that as well. It covered them well and lasted all day, just like it did under my eyes. I won't be using this concealer for spots, only undereyes, but mainly because the shade I received was a bit lighter than my skin tone.

The size of the concealer, and size of the doe foot, was a bit bigger than I expected, but I like it. I found this a good size for when I was applying it under my eyes, but it caused me to sometimes apply too much product when I was using it to cover spots. I think it would be a bit big if you were looking for a concealer just to cover wee blemishes.

Overall, I would recommend this concealer, and think it's good value for money. I will continue to use this concealer, and definitely will look at repurchasing when I run out - although I don't see this running out anytime soon with how little I need to use.

My old concealer (Maybelline Fit Me) is nearly finished up, so this trial came at the perfect time as I was on the look out for something new as pigmentation and scarring sees me requiring more coverage. If it covers my under eye circles? Bonus.

First things first - the doe foot applicator. It's... confronting. Really big and a little intimidating. Also a little product goes a long way on this doe foot, so don't be tempted to treat it like a smaller doe foot unless you're wanting to spend hours blending.

There's a slight scent to this, not unpleasant. The packaging is basic, but attractive. Prepare to give it a good push down before screwing - it somehow pops up if you don't.

After using this over my foundation, under my foundation, applying with a brush/sponge/fingers I found my preferred way to use this was by using a sponge to apply it before foundation on pigmentation, and using my fingers to blend it under my eyes, again before applying foundation. When I used it over my foundation I found my foundation lifted up, so my skin was more bare than before. However foundation applied nicely over top when concealer was applied first.

It covered pigmentation really well, and it gave my eyes a more awake look - however if I used too much it did catch on dry patches and settled into lines under my eyes, which wasn't so attractive.

All in all I'd continue using it and would consider purchasing it once it runs out, as it's a very nice concealer.

L’Oréal has always been a favourite brand of mine so was looking forward to trying this.

The concealer sponge/brush reminds me a bit of the Tarte shape tape. It’s quite big so it’s good for covering larger areas i.e under the eyes.

I found it very full coverage with a matte finish. I prefer more glowy concealers for under the eyes but this was definitely an exception and I was pretty impressed. I put this over top of foundation under my eyes and any blemishes, and it’s last ALL DAY. It didn’t budge at all! It’s not cakey either which is always my main concern with matte products.

I also used this on a bare face with no foundation and just used to cover up small blemishes and it hid them super well!

The consistency is quite thick too so not a lot is needed, only a small amount needed.

This is the perfect concealer for all ladies that love matte full coverage makeup looks - which is why my score I have given is a 3/5 for if I would use it again just because I prefer glowy looks :) BUT I will definitely be using again!

I love this concealer. Its like the name says, it's way more than just a concealer. It was the perfect shade for my skin. I find concealers are usually too yellow or too pink for me and this was right in between. I don't like to wear makeup on a daily basis but just a little something to cover blemishes and skin imperfections, without the appearance of a super covered face. With this concealer I dab the smallest amount on and it goes such a long way, covers with just one touch but definitely could be buildable if required and cover with powder and off I go for the day. It's amazing, lasts all day.

I love a good concealer and I have been using them for years as I have a lot of inconsistent colour across my face. Initially I had some small trouble opening this product which I admit did not start me as well as some other concealers. Usually the products I am familiar with are heavier and smaller in packaging. This felt a bit cheap and plasticty to me. On the plus side I did drop it (trying to open it) and it didn't damage - ahhh the positives of plastic.The shade was clearly marked on the top which I liked and I had chosen the correct colour for my skintone which is often the hardest challenge. The mix of pink and slight yellow was good in biscuit for my sun damaged skin.

The consistency was great - not too thick and not too liquid. I found the applicator large and initially this led to a bit of an "over application" which I got the hang of after the first use. It went on smoothly and didn't dry or crack or look "fake" at any point

I gienerally use a sponge to blend my concealer/foundation/colour and this product worked well with the sponge. Blending is usually another challenge for concealers and this one did perform well - it didn't disappear either!

I liked the lightness and it did seem to last most of the day. It worked well under my foundation for going out (husband said I looked great - very natural). I also tried it under a tinted BB cream and this was great for daytime. I think I will use the rest of this while travelling as it gives a great light coverage and a good colour (tested with photos that I did like).

In fact the only thing that let this product down for me was the 1980s style packaging (which I guess just shows its on trend but I like a subtle holder and the fit was quite tight (popped and felt like it was trapping air which probably means it would dry reasonably quickly if you didn't use it often). Great as an everyday work product. So it lives up to its name - it is more than a concealer but don't judge it by its package

L’Oreal maintains that their new Infallible More than a Concealer is a waterproof, non-greasy formula which won't transfer, fade, or flake so the full coverage look is locked in all day. It is available in 16 shades for every skin tone. I am always looking for a really good concealer to effectively cover dark areas under my eyes and blend in hyperpigmentation areas on my lower cheek area. The tube the concealer comes in is fairly nondescript but does clearly label the name and number of the shade making it easy to find. The product has a clean smelling fragrance which is not overpowering. The concealer comes with an extra large applicator wand at the end of which is a thick soft bristled brush. The brush is very effective. It picks up sufficient product so there is no wastage and product stays put on the brush without dripping. The formula is thick but easy to blend and apply. A little goes a long way because if you use too much, it does settle in every line and crease, especially when using it under the eyes. A very light hand is ideal with this product, especially under the eyes, and just build up slowly in other areas that need more coverage. I apply hydration first, a cream or a primer. I suggest using a beauty blender sponge to apply the concealer to one area at a time blending and blurring directly after because it dries quite fast. I start with a little bit and build up otherwise there is too much product to work with. It takes a bit of getting used to and trialling because it is a heavy formula and can look quite drying and flakey if over applied and over powdered. I have tried it under foundation or on top of foundation and both methods give good results. It definitely is a full coverage long wear concealer and with the right prep, it covered my uneven skin tone very well. It remained intact throughout the day without irritating the skin, flaking or transferring to other surfaces. However very mature skin or extremely dry skin will need proper preparation and moisturising before applying as it could be quite drying as it is a full matte coverage. I like that the product is water resistant as in humid weather I sweat a lot through my face and now I won’t have to worry about my concealer running or transferring. The shade range is excellent and gives you a really wide choice, if using for conturing purposes. It also works as an eyeshadow primer/base. I usually use Nars or Estee Lauder concealer - this concealer is a third of the price. I recommend this concealer which if properly applied gives good results and does more than just conceal.

Really happy with this product. It was easy to use- had a nice applicator that was a decent size ( sometimes they are too small). Colour matched with my skin. Nice consistency. Stayed on well and blended well with a BB cream over top. Will definetly use again.

I’d actually never used a concealer before and now I’ve discovered what I’ve been missing!

The L'Oreal Paris more than a concealer applicator is targeted, soft and spongy and the product was was easily applied to just the areas I needed cover. I then use a beauty blender to blend it in a bit in places like under my eyes.

The tube and applicator is great for carrying around in your makeup bag. The concealer is thick enough that it covered my areas of redness, blemishes and imperfections yet ‘Biscuit’ seemed the perfect shade for my skin (light med with a warm skin tone and pink undertones) in that my normal liquid foundation just blended in nicely straight on over it.

It's light and yet does what it is supposed to and lasts all day.

I was lucky enough to be sent one of these concealers to review for the Beauty Crew - thanks guys! I wondered if the colour was going to work for me - I have an olive Polynesian skin tone with undertones of yellow, and most concealers and foundations are a little too pink for me. But I was pleasantly surprised to find that the shade I was sent - while a little light on first application - blended out to match my skin tone quite well. (Cedar 333 in case you were wondering!)

The packaging is classic L'oreal - chic on a budget - and comes in a solid plastic tube. I got a bit of a shock when I unscrewed it - the applicator seemed massive compared to my last concealer, and it was furry, lol. Because I'm the type of person that just uses concealer on my dark pigmented spots, the size of the applicator seemed like overkill to me. But I guess if you do the whole baked under-eye palava or need a full face cover-up, it would be perfect!

The consistency is quite thick and the pigment is solid. It doesn't fade when you blend it out, and it doesn't crease in my laugh lines. Bonus! I have found in the past, that if I have reddish marks from spots, I need to apply a green veil first, in order for the concealer to do its job, but not with this. It has a full coverage effect without being too heavy. It's quite hard-wearing as well, it managed to last most of the day without a touch up, so great value. All in all, a really good product from L'Oreal! Will recommend!

I was so happy to be invited to review this product and it definitely beat my expectations. I have dry skin with breakouts so I did find I had to let my moisturiser and primer set in before using this product as it is a less creamy mixture than I am used to. Initially I had doubts but once I blended it in (it blends super easy!) I thought it was amazing and such a natural makeup look. I do think this will be one of my staples. The consistency is thick but it blends out very easily. The applicator tip is a perfect shape to cover blemishes and also give all over coverage. You only need a tiny bit as it does go a long way, some of my more acne prone areas I did double up but overall the coverage is very high without that sticky feeling. I would recommend this product to most but if you do have dry skin I would recommend using more moisturiser as I did find it a little cakey in my dry spots.
