My daughter and her tween friends are all over press-on nails at the moment and I can see why as they are really cool. I was given a box of these to try in the Chrome collection in size M and you can literally see your face in them with high shine.
I’m a complete novice with nails so it took a bit of getting used to with application but there were good instructions included. The glue I found a bit hard to squeeze out (to get two drops) but it probably prevents you squeezing too much out and making a mess. After pressing them on they stayed for a good day before they ended up popping off while fiddling with knobs and doing a bit of housework. I could see the ends of the nail chipping after some wear but far less than if I was wearing a nail varnish. I haven’t tried any other set but I’ve seen much cheaper W7 sets at chemist warehouse. These Teddy Lane sets are about $25 so I’d expect these to be definitely of a premium quality compared to those. They come with an emery board as well but I found when I tried to file down one nail it wasn’t really abrasive enough to remove much length. If you lose one there are 24 in the box to replace!
At the party I wore them to and the next day at work I had SOOOO many comments on how great my nails looked I’m very keen to get another set for my next event.
Overall these ones are a bit long for me so my next set I’ll try and see if they have shorter sizes or invest in a false nail cutter to nip off a bit on the end as these ones are almond shape and I’d likely prefer squared off. Also keen to try the versions with gems and patterns on them next.
These nails are so easy and cute. They are already designed so well, you literally just need to glue them on and go! I’ve started using these instead of getting acrylics because they look just as good and are a lot cheaper than salon trips. The glue is also really good. The shapes and styles are flattering and very up-to-date with current trends.
Tips: File the surface of your nails down before adding the glue, it makes them last way longer.
