L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Total Repair 5 Restoring Shampoo

Well this is definitely a different report from me compared to the L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Total Repair 5 Restoring Conditioner that I reviewed.

First of all the container stands the correct way up (unlike the conditioner) and it had a lovely appley smell that I liked and smelled delish. It was a lovely thicker consistency which made it easy to use. I didn't have to use much for it to lather up heaps so this would definitely make it cost effective. It also washed out making my hair feel really squeaky clean without my hair turning into a dry birds nest! My hair felt silky and looked lovely afterwards.

This product has done exactly what it says it does... my hair is healthy looking and easier to manage. Ive lost majority of my split ends I had prior to using the shampoo and conditioner. Makes my hair smell amazing afterwards to.Also my hair is more managable and its made me fall in love with my hair again.

I loved the easy to open bottle, great to use in the shower. It smelt great too. I found I only needed a small amount so it goes a long way. After using it, my hair felt clean but not 'stripped'. I still needed to use a conditioner but with just using the shampoo, i could get a comb through my hair. So overall, I was very satisfied with the shampoo. I did however use it alongside the conditioner and together I felt my hair was stronger, shiner and thicker - it had more omph! lol

RIGHT OHHHH, here we go ladies, I have been using this one for the trial and like all with the same effects i was just thinking it would be the same and i wouldn't see the difference BUUUUT i was wrong, sooo wrong. firstly the feel was just like any other shampoo i use, and it didnt really foam up like the others i actually liked this as it become so much easier to wash out. my hair was not as dry feeling like the others and LETS FACE IT hair straight after just shampoo generally not so nice! BUT i couldnt actually beleive how my hair felt and thought i betterdo a second shampoo WELL not needed and my hair still felt good, OVERALL im impressed the smell was great BUT mainly can i just finish with leaving you this my end are not split looking and my has never looked so healthy being this color and i have tried alot!!

I loved the smell of this product and i loved the formula. this product did make my hair feel stronger fuller and silkier but why i did tend to find while trialling this product is that it made me hair look super great and i just don't think this product is right for my hair type.

When i got this review to do i thought it would be just another shampoo that promises a lot but like most of the others wouldn't really do much than clean my hair. I'm am so absolutely pleased with the results that i have had. My hair is now radiant and full of life. My colour has gone from a dull looking brown to an awesome looking brown with different highlights that give my hair the look it had before i damaged it with all the years of dying i have done to it. I used to have to straighten my hair just so it would be manageable but now i don't have to. i Can just put a brush through it and i am done. I love the smell of it and it lasts smelling lovely till the next time i wash it. I couldn't be more happy with the results i have had from this shampoo.

It's hard to judge a shampoo and conditioner separately - as the outcome is a result of both. So that part I'll combine. As for the application - the shampoo had a delicious smell and lathered well. It felt like it was a great coverage and wasn't tacky feeling after washing out. The result (of the two combined....) - the first thing I noticed was the softness. My hair usually feels somewhat dry after washing, and until it's straightened it is a bit unruly. I found with this it dried soft - to the point where straightening my hair was easier - but with the result of kinking if I tried to tie it up too soon. I'm guessing it comes down to how damaged your hair is - the moreso the better this product would be, and for me, I don't think my hair is damaged enough. The one up however I did find was that my hair stayed 'fresher' for longer, i.e. didn't get a greasy 'I need to wash my hair' feel as soon as with my usual. I didn't dislike the product - and will happily use out the rest of the bottle, but not sure I'd buy it again in comparison to the likes of Garnier repair range.

This is a great shampoo My hair feels stronger It looks shinny Its bouncy I like the smell and is a great packaging I like the consistency of the shampoo as is quite thick and i dont need much for my hair My hair feels great after using this

I have never tried a L'oreal Paris shampoo before, so i was pretty intrigued to try this one. Its consistency is very thick which i really liked because it meant that i didn't feel like i had to use as much of the product meaning that the product lasts longer. It was also very easy to apply and use. It has a very masculine smell. Its not a bad smell, its just one that's not very feminine. I was able to go 3 days without needing to wash my hair again which is really good. Thats 1 day longer than with my usual shampoo. This was surprising to me because usually i have very oily hair, and so i need to wash it every second day. On the other hand, my hair turned very dry and frizzy the day after using this shampoo. It was hard to control and put into a pony tail. This shampoo also brought back my dry and itchy scalp which i had just managed to get on top of. Overall, i don't think i would recommend this to a friend as its not really worth the money and you can get a shampoo that is a lot cheaper and do a better job.

Overall this is a nice shampoo, but nothing special! I do like it, but it hasn't become my holy grail or anything. This shampoo cleaned my hair and it did feel nice, but I doubt my hair would've felt that soft if I had not also used conditioner. I noticed no difference in amount of split ends, but the product does smell great and If i had used for a longer amount of time, I may have seen more of a difference. My hair felt fuller but still lacked the volume i am desperately seeking
