Neutrogena Beach Defence Lotion SPF 50

This is a great sunscreen and the one I would purchase the most often (unless something else is on sale as sunscreen is quite expensive). The main reason is that it definitely works - I don't recall being burnt at all while wearing this.

It is easy to apply and rubs into the skin well without feeling greasy or like it's clogging your skin up. The bottle is a good size and shape so will fit well into whatever bag you are taking with you. It also doesn't smell to strong so it won't overpower any otehr scents you are wearing.

Overall this is a great product that I would recommend with summer coming up.

We loved using this over the summer time it has a high spf which is very important to me. The smell is fine its not too strong. It is quite a thick sunblock but does rub in after massaging it into the skin. We didn't get burnt at all over summer wearing this and love how its a 4 hour water resistant. Easy to spot where it is in the nappy bag as well being bright yellow you can't miss it!

This is one of the best sunscreens I have used! Perfect for our family, and use it on the kids without any problems. It has a nice slightly fruity fragrance, doesnt leave us greasy and oily as it absorbs quickly. Love that it is in a pretty descent sized bottle, Has a hight spf of 50 which is fabulous!!

Bought this while on an overseas trip and found it so good for those sweaty Miami days and dry Vegas afternoons. Didn't get burnt at all and even managed to get a bit of a tan - a real achievement for my scottish heritage! Slightly greasy but not too bad, and smells great

This sunscreen has a lovely scent which isn't overpowering. It is easy to get out of the tube and apply. It goes on smoothly and rubs in well. I found that it was waterproof and lasted for at least 3 hours. Have already bought more and have recommended.

I have fair skin and go through sunblocks and screens regularly. Beach Defence is nice to use. It goes on easily and is non greasy. There is no whiteness on your skin and it feels good too. I really recommend this product.

Before I even tried this product I was really impressed by the packaging, it’s bright yellow, it says summer & really stands out from the others. Normally I find putting sunscreen on such a painful experience, the sunscreens I’ve tried in the past have more often than not been of a thick consistency, and take awhile to apply and absorb into my skin. I found this sunscreen completely different, I thought it smelt nice (not the typical sunscreen overbearing smell) it’s a light lotion and didn’t take long at all to rub into my skin and absorb. It was just like using a light body moisturiser. It’s SPF 50 which gives the ultimate protection with a 4 hour sweat and water resistance which is exactly what you need when you are outside in the heat enjoying summer. I also really like the fact that it’s oil free so I didn’t feel like it was clogging up my pores like I normally do with sun lotion. I felt like I had the ultimate protection using this and would definitely recommend. It’s a good product & really just does what it says it does.

I am never leaving the house without it on!. First thing I check is the smell. It's the nice (generic) neautrogena smell, I can't explain.It's not too strong. When I put it on though... wow. So it's actually not greasy!!! I know so many products that say this and lie, This felt like a very sheer body lotion, it quickly absorbed and I felt I should more on. I put it on when I went to the pool ( I love swimming but chlorine does dryout skin) and this product again was a god send. My legs usually get terribly dry and itchy. Not with this, I put a little more on after I got out as a top up and away I went. This product is an essential I will use everyday!!!

Neutrogena's new Beach defence sunscreen lotion is definitely a winner in my eyes! What I love about it compared to the other Neutrogena formulas is that it's easy to apply and not as dense/ sticky as the ultra sheer formula. It goes on smoothly and gives you time to rub it in evenly so you are not left with patches of sunscreen on your body. I can even use this sunscreen on my face as I have dry- normal skin. I didn't break out at all and I used it every day for 10 days straight while I was in Hawaii!

Will definitely be buying more this summer!

The first thing I noticed about this was the pleasant smell. While not being overpowering it didn't smell all "Sunblocky" like others I have used in the past. It rubs in really easily and leaves the skin nice and soft (almost like a body lotion). I work outdoors in a physical job so can get a good sweat up on a hot day (sorry if this is TMI hehe) and find I can do a full 4 to 5 hours without having to reapply. I would recommend this to anyone
