Kiehl's Calendula Herbal Extract Toner Review

I love that this contains botanical bits (I'm assuming petals!) in it! It screams natural!

This is a really refreshing toner without being too astringent. I have enjoyed introducing it into my skin care routine, as a toner isn't something I usually seek out.

I've been using this in the morning and evening, I enjoy the clean and soft feeling I'm left with. I also have found it quite calming on my skin, especially when applied after my weekly peel mask!

I think this is a really lovely product and a great introduction to the Kiehls range!

Initially I was a bit skeptical about this product, its kinda like Tea for your face! It looks like tea and contains calendula petals. Calendula is really quite soothing, there is no real strong fragrance, just a herbal reminder about the goodness that lies inside.

This product is non-drying and alcohol free. Great to use after cleansing. After application pores are refined and toned. With regular use skin is less oily and pores are more under control, certainly less visible and open. Oily skin is balanced and shiny areas are kept sheen free. Very pleasant to use.

This is a very nice toner, although I did find it a tad drying on my skin, potentially because it is more for oily skin. But as a toner it did a nice job, I'm not a huge fan of the flowers in the bottle haha looks a bit nasty but I get the idea behind it.

A decent sized bottle so good value for money and has an easy to use top on it. Again love the apothecary feel on the whole kiehls range. Probably my least fave from the trial but still a very nice gentle, soothing toner.

This toner is extremely gentle yet so effective. It almost smells like a herbal tea of some sort. You can definitely tell is natural. It contains a plant like substance within the bottle of toner. I love natural products so this gets a huge tick from me. It’s incredible how you can remove your makeup but this toner will cleanse the skin even more and remove any bits of makeup that was still there. I have noticed a huge improvement in my skins appearance already. It’s more hydrated, my pores appear smaller and my son is clearer and fresher but not stripped of its natural oil. This is the best toner I have ever used without a doubt.

Thanks so much for giving me the chance to try this brand its been so lovely. Im usually not a huge toner fan as it comes down to having time to do it and sometimes i think its not needed. Anyway i was happy to give it a go and its actually so nice to use and i found it quite refreshing on my face after washing and so surprising to see how much grime and dirt wasn't removed from a wash. It has a nice clean feeling not too drying and not really an scent either which i found quite nice. It works well in conjunction with the serum and the moisturiser and i will definitely continue to use it.

This is a toner to get excited over! I say this as someone who owns toner but generally "forgets" to use it. This Kiehl's toner is different from all of the toners I have used in the past as it really does improve the feel of my skin.

I like the packaging, it is simple and works. The toner smells quite earthy, it reminds me of honey or herbal tea. I don't love the smell but it isn't offputting. The same goes for the colour of the toner, it is an earthy brown, tea-like colour with petals or some other part of a plant floating in it. I don't think there has ever been a more interesting toner to look at!

To use you simply apply the toner to a cotton pad and wipe over the skin. The thing I love most about this toner is that it isn't drying but great for oily skin! It is also great to calm and soothe skin. My skin is left feeling clean, refreshed, and soothed after using this toner.

I feel like the price point is appropriate for this toner as for me it will get used and not put at the back of the cupboard like the other toners I own.

Overall this is a fantastic toner that I would recommend everyone to try!

I haven’t been a big user of skin toner over the years, so was keen to try out this herbal-extract toner. Out of interest I googled the Calendula herb, which amongst other things said it was a powerful healing agent of the skin and is considered to be the single most useful herb for healing damaged or broken skin - so that was a good start ! I used this toner as the first part of my twice daily skincare regime after cleansing my face, I didn’t apply with the recommended cotton pad but just dripped it directly onto my face and gently patted it in. It absorbed quickly leaving my face feeling refreshed, cool and alive. It is interesting to see the generous amount of herbs floating in the bottle and knowing that they are working for you. I have enjoyed using this toner and will certainly add it to my skin-care regime now that I understand better what it achieves.

I have not used a toner since I was about 13 and I have memories of them being extremely drying. Well this was the total opposite. It made my skin feel incredibly clean, and soft at the same time. It was not drying, and just glided on to the skin. I think toner may re enter my skincare routine moving forward!

I absolutely loved this toner. I haven't been big on using toners in the past, so was excited to try this one. I especially like that its alcohol free so it doesn't sting or dry my skin, particularly in sensitive areas. I used the toner following my oil cleanser as a second cleanse and tone and it left my skin feeling clean, calm and soothed. I noticed my skin improved over the fortnight I used the product with less breakouts and redness. A little certainly went a long way, which is also a bonus. It was the perfect second step in my skincare routine and set a great platform for my serum as I could trust my skin was well cleansed and makeup/dirt free. I'll definitely continue using this - I was very impressed!

This toner has got to be the freshest and most luxurious toner I've tried yet. The formula itself is wonderful - super natural, really hydrating, and doesn't leave a film on the skin - but it's those Calendula petals in there that really push this one over the top! I was a little surprised when one popped out onto my cotton round when using this for the first time, however I went about using the product as normal anyway, and found that it broke down and combined with the product really well, and wasn't slimy or anything like I was initially concerned about. After a week or so of using this product, I found that my skin seemed much more hydrated compared to a traditional toner I was using before. I absolutely love this product, and will definitely be repurchasing!
