L'Oreal Paris Wrinkle Expert 45+ SPF 20

I've always rated the L'oreal moisturisers and so was excited to see this new one drop into the fam. Especially formulated for mature skin 45+ (I'm 49) I liked the hydration that this cream gave. Now, it wasn't a heavy cream - it's not rich rich rich - but it is lightweight and gives you moisture for the day. I'm still testing to see it's wrinkle diminishing capability because mine have taken years to get there and may need a bit more time to soften, however it is a lovely day cream and feels nourishing (but not heavy) on the skin. Sometimes I find fragrance to be a bit off putting, but I was pleasantly surprised by the very light and fresh scent that this has. It made it a lovely sensory experience to apply, but then dissipated so it didn't hang around - which I liked. The SPF was 20 and for me I need a higher one in this Kiwi environment, but it did give me extra reassurance of a base cover before I added my separate SPF to it. The packaging is luxe in heavy glass so feels and looks like something you'd keep on the bathroom bench. All in all a lovely daily moisturiser!

My skin is dry and sensitive but this cream felt wonderful on. My skin felt moisturised throughout the day without feeling heavy and my skin felt firmer. Although I don't have a huge amount of lines, those I do have appeared less noticeable. The smell isn't overpowering. I will be using more of this product

I was really stoked to have a longer time to trial this product than the standard two weeks, I think the extra time really let me have a truer feel as to how the product worked for me. The packaging for this is pretty standard L'Oreal fare but that's not a bad thing and the jar is solid. I was a bit disappointed it wasn't one of the measured dispenser jars as I've realised I'm a bit of a fan. The cream was nice and thick but spread easily, there is no discernible smell other than it is pleasant. I am quite lucky in the wrinkles department (genetics) but the age spots are starting to appear though small. I shared this trial with my mum, who has few wrinkles but much larger age spots. Between the two of us we both found the spots seemed to lighten up a bit so we are both keen to keep trying the product. We both found our skin was plumper and firmer and my mum found her fine wrinkles were harder to see. I'm terrible at putting sunscreen on, especially in winter so appreciate the SPF 20. Overall I think this is a great product and am pleased I got to trial it and I see it making a reappearance when this jar is finished

Recently I have been loving in the L’Oreal products, and was expecting good things from this one too. Packaging is good and the cream is nice and thick. The odour is mild and cream absorbed well. It is good that it has an SPF of 20, however there are others that also include a SPF. I didn’t notice any difference to my skin or reduction of wrinkles - maybe I don’t have enough yet? Overall not impressed.

The packing was nice on this and when you opened the box the pottle was the same size as the packing. Sometimes products are packed in a box that is alot bigger than the pottle is. It gives the illusion that you are getting more than you are, but of course you aren't. It really annoys me!! So it was good to see this one wasn't. The cream was thick, and made your skin lovely and soft. It said the cream could help with reducing sun damaged spots but I saw none of this. I look out for any products that say they can help remove darks spots. But this cream did nothing for mine and they arent that bad. The fragrance was nice, not to strong. The cream left my face very smooth and I think it plumped the skin up

I'm very impressed with this product, not only did it help with my uneven skin tones, it also helped with my seriously dry patches on my face. I have also noticed my skin looks smoother with improved firmness. I love the texture of this cream, a little goes along way and it worked great under make up, absorbs quickly, and smells great. I also enjoyed using it as a night cream too. Definitely be purchasing this cream again and have seen it regularly on special at a great price.

I’m pleased to have been able to trial this product, and have faithfully applied it every morning and, because it feels rich enough to me, most nights as well It is pleasant to apply, massaging it gently into my skin and has a light, pleasant fragrance. I have some definite wrinkles and lines around my upper lip (some laughter lines too, but they don’t bother me) and I’d like to find something that might help make them less obvious and slow down their progress. This feels creamy enough without leaving any hint of greasiness afterwards. The lines are still there, but I feel my skin has a nicer texture since using this and so the lines are less obvious to me.

The L'Oreal Paris Wrinkle Expert 45+ SPF 20 comes in the distinctive L'Oreal packaging, in white, and is clearly marked as a cream targeted at mature skin for the over 45 year olds.  The container itself is again, distinctive to L'Oreal, made of glass and feels like its quality. 

Once opened, the cream inside the jar is white and has a slight aroma, not too strong but definitely there. The cream itself has a luxurious texture, a slightly thick creamy texture that glides onto the face and neck with absolute ease. It feels like it is giving your skin both good coverage and excellent nourishment. The pleasant scent is minimal on your skin and dissipates quite quickly.

The cream contains Retino Peptides and claims to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, improve firmness and reduce the appearance of age spots. I certainly feel my skin has been nourished by this product and it does feel plumper once applied helping the appearance of fine lines. I'm not sure I saw any change in my age spots, however the presence of an SPF 20 in the cream is a welcome addition to help prevent any further sun damage!

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed using this product and feel it suitable for my 45+ skin. Would definitely purchase after this trial.

I really liked this product. The consistency of the cream feels luxurious and is easy to apply. It soaks in well and leaves the skin feeling hydrated and firm too. I think some of the results were hampered by the fact that wearing a mask makes you more prone to dryness or break outs under your mask area, but even with that, my skin looked and felt good. I only had very occasional dry patches, which I was happy with under the circumstances (I often get more).

The cream smells lovely too, which is always a bonus! It feels great to apply first thing in the morning (I get up ridiculously early for work!) as it feels like it wakes your skin up nicely!
