When this was being advertised and trialled on BR I couldn't wait to read reviews. I find having dry yet sensitive skin can be a battle trying to find a suitable moisturiser that doesn't break me out and gives good, intense hydration. After researching, it was time for me to try this myself!
The packaging is super simple, modern and fresh looking. It's in a white tube, that is convenient and good for portability. I like the plain, no-fuss packaging which suits it's product inside. When I look at it, it does make me think of medical/dermatologist product.
The formula is white and quite thick. It's quite thicker than other facial moisturisers I've tried, but it feels nice and gentle on the skin and doesn't take too long to absorb.
I like the focus on natural, soothing products such as oatmeal and Cucumber oil, which are great for dry skin. The simpler the better when it comes to what I put on my face. The formula smells nice and refreshing, not overpowering in the slightest.
Although it is a nice gentle and soothing moisturiser I just don't find it as effective as my holy grail moisturiser in terms of hydration. However, I find this moisturiser so nice for my dry and eczema prone hands- it's the perfect hand moisturiser. It is gentle and so soothing, especially when I apply this regularly. It helps keep the awful cracks and dryness at bay.
Overall, a great and gentle moisturiser for those of us with sensitive and eczema-prone skins. Definitely give it a go!
This is a really nice, inoffensive moisturiser that gets the job done. It’s not particularly fancy or exciting, but, like the tagline says, “it works”.
The packaging is plain and easy to use, in a wide squeezy tube that stands up on the lid (which will be really useful for getting all the product out at the end). It’s quite a unisex type of packaging, and I imagine it would appeal to (or at least not offend, haha) the majority of people.
It comes out as a very thick type of creamy lotion that keeps its shape, so not runny at all. A little goes a long way, and it stays white until properly spread out/rubbed in, so it’s best not to apply too much. I find a 10 cent coin amount is enough for one leg/arm, and so it is quite an economical product to use – I don’t think I’ll be running out of it any time soon.
As this is hypoallergenic, and supposedly fragrance free, I was quite surprised to find it has a very distinct fresh cucumbery scent to it. Reading the ingredients list, it’s possible this is actually the natural aloe vera scent. For me it’s not an issue, as I’m not irritated by it and I don’t mind the scent in and of itself, but it’s maybe something to be aware of if you were getting this because you thought it was completely fragrance free.
Once rubbed in, I find this takes only a couple of minutes to properly absorb, so it’s not too long like some richer body moisturisers (looking at you, body shop body butters!). Once absorbed, my skin is left feeling really soft and definitely hydrated. I have found that this lasts all day with no problems, and I don’t have to reapply before my next shower. I have also found that my elbows and knees, which tend to get a bit dryer, especially in the winter, have been kept nice and soft and I haven’t that problem at all which is great!
Overall, I do like this, and I will continue to use it up. I probably wouldn’t repurchase it myself, as if I’m going to have a product that is in fact scented, I’d like to get one that has a scent I’m really keen on. However, it’s something that I would recommend to others, as it does work, and is good value for a reasonable price.
Tips: Don't use too much, or it will take forever to absorb properly - a little goes a long way.
