L'Oreal Paris ELVIVE Extraordinary Clay Conditioner Review

I received this conditioner as part of a BR trial. This conditioner wasn't a standout product of the Extraordinary Clay range but I liked how it didn't make my hair feel heavy but still left it feeling smooth and sleek. But because the shampoo was pretty good at not drying out my hair, this may be why I didn't feel like the conditioner did as much.

I was sent this conditioner, thanks to BR, along with the rest of the Elvive Extraordinary Clay Range. I'm feeling like a whingebag... This whole range did not live up to expectations... The conditioner, that said, to my mind, is the best product out of the four products I received. The conditioner left my hair soft, untangled, and hydrated. However in summary, my hair roots are just as oily as it always and, my hair has lots of flyaways and just, well, doesn't look as nice as it usually does. I won't be repurchasing this - I like to use sets of shampoos and conditioners and there's better conditioners out there for my hair type, including at the price that this is available for (i.e. other Elvive conditioners)

Was super excited to try out the L'Oreal Paris ELVIVE Extraordinary Clay range as I have oily roots + dry ends and the fact that it has 'clay' in the name intrigued me. I like the packaging and it's easy to use. I applied only to the ends of my hair as I always do and found that my hair felt so soft and moisturized. I really liked this conditioner as it contains no silicone's and left my hair feeling fresher for longer without weighing it down. I usually wash my hair every second day but found that I can go 3 days now.

This particular Clay Conditioner is a complete savior after using the Clay Mask and Shampoo. It allows your hair to feel incredibly smooth, soft, fresh, untangled and hydrated. It delivers all it says on the package. My biggest plus was the fact that i could comb my hair with ease after using this product. The fresh smell of this range is long lasting as well.

I tried this conditioner in conjunction with the Elvive Extraordinary Clay Shampoo and also pre-shampoo masque. Having a range specifically for oily hair suits me very well!! I've always been a bit dubious about conditioning after each wash as have found previously it's made my hair even heavier and more oily. After using the Clay Mask then the shampoo, I felt the conditioner spread easily concentrating on my mid lengths and ends. The scent across the range was pleasant and once my hair was dried it felt healthy and we'll conditioned with none of my usual heaviness. Using all the products in the range I did not have to wash my hair nearly as much!

I liked this conditioner , it did leave my hair soft and really shiny!

I'm not one to put conditioner on my roots , because of my oily roots dry ends, so the first time I used it I didn't and I did have really greasy hair in 2 days, so I did dry shampoo and then I had to shampoo, this range would not last 7 days on my hair .

On the second shampoo and second condition I did apply to my roots and I think it may have worked better!! Because my hair is definitely less oily, so I'm very thank ful for that!!

The conditioner does smooth the hair , untangles easy, smells amazing!!! (can you tell I cannot get enough!!!) Packaging on all products are super easy to use, open.

Miss 14 will continue to use the mask, Shampoo and Conditioner and I will use the Conditioner and Dry Shampoo , we have loved being a part of this trial

I think this is the first conditioner I have used where it has said to apply to the hair focusing on the mid-lengths and ends. Also, the only one I have used which recommends leaving it on for 2-3 mins instead of just 1. Maybe this is what made the difference, regardless I love this product and I will be buying more. My hair is normally oily at the roots with dry and frizzy ends. After using this, my hair was shiny and smooth, no frizz and no oil! The only problem I have with this product is the statement on the bottle saying '72 hours of fresh roots and hydrated ends'. It would be more appropriate to say 'up to 72 hours'. Everyone's hair is different so I was not surprised to only get 24-36 hours before noticing the oiliness returning The packaging is sleek and easy to handle. The convenient flat lid at the bottom of the bottle stops it from falling and is easy to open and close with one hand. The smell is a pleasantly fruity, floral fragrance. Overall, I would say this is definitely a product that works and I will be using it as my everyday conditioner.

Like many of the other people using this range, I have oily roots and dry ends. When choosing a conditioner, I want one that will hydrate my ends without leaving the rest of my hair feeling heavy. After using this product for two weeks, I definitely feel like this conditioner meets those requirements.

After washing out the shampoo, I applied this conditioner on my hair. I focussed on working it into the ends and avoiding the scalp. The conditioner almost melted into my hair and it felt very nourishing. A little amount of product went a long way. The smell was my favourite part of this product. It's difficult to describe exactly what it smelt like, but it was very refreshing. It washed out easily and my hair didn't feel like it still had residue on it.

After blow drying, my hair felt light and hydrated. It also looked shiny and smelt amazing. Combined with the other products in this range, I went five days before my hair was oily enough to need a wash again. So this range definitely works!

Again the packaging is a nice colour, but pretty standard. The scent for this one is really strong, not unpleasant just strong.

I always have trouble with dry ends and oily roots. The promises of this range were so appealing. I'm glad it delivered pretty well.

I needed less conditioner than normal, as you focus more on the ends and not the roots. I thought the shampoo might leave the roots too dry and that squeaky type feeling - but they felt fine. My whole hair felt light and soft after this using all the products (minus the dry shampoo) and two of my friends mentioned how healthy my hair looks! That's proof enough for me. The scent lingers in your hair, but it isn't as strong as I thought it might be - I don't do well with strong smells, I get headaches. But this didn't bring on a headache at all.

As with the shampoo it smells really nice. The bottle is a little bigger than the shampoo which I like as I tend to use more conditioner than shampoo. As per instructions I didn't apply to roots of my hair. Left in for a couple of minutes then rinsed out thoroughly. Left my hair feeling soft. I did find that it didn't minimize the knots like other conditioners seem to do. However, my hair feels soft and clean and doesn't look oily.
