Rimmel London Lasting Finish 25hr Foundation Review

I bought this product online, it was two for the price of one. (Cant remember where, it was about 6 months ago). I got my usual colour with every other brand and the colour that is one lighter than my usual colour. My usual colour did seem a bit dark so i am saving that for when my face is a bit more tan for summer to use. The colour which is lighter fits my skin perfectly! I love this product!!!! It covers well, and it hardly has a shiny finish. It comes off nicely after cleaning my face, unlike other foundations that seem to get stuck in my pores. Would definitely recommend this product to friends!

My bottle was different to this picture, glass with a pump and red lid. This is my new favorite go to foundation!! Haven't tried it for 25 hours but it's lasted all day chasing kids then a gym session so it's got some power there! I love that it comes in a lighter shade selection, it's easy to apply with the pump being an added bonus for less mess hehe It was med coverage on me and I do use a primer and finish with a pressed powder if I want it to last all day or night! It is a bit sticky when applying so be patient when blending and wait for it to dry before adding anything else. New favorite favorite thing x

I brought this foundation as I had run out and wanted to replace my then current foundation with something that had more lasting power. I picked this one because it was 25% off a The Warehouse so I ended up getting it for around $15.

Unlike the above picture, mine came in a glass pump bottle with a red lid, which is a much better design. The lid is strong and the pump is good.

In terms of the foundation itself, I've really enjoyed using it. It doesn't last 25 hours, but it does usually last about 10 hours which is the most needed hours. The coverage is a mid to full coverage. The consistancy of the product is fairly standard liquid foundation consistancy; neither thick nor thin.

Another thing that stood out about this product is that it had paler shades, which is something that I find hard to get in some brands.

I would repurchase this product and the postive results I've got from it have made me want to buy more from the Rimmel London range :)

This is my go to every day foundation. It gives a good medium coverage without feeling heavy on my skin. Unlike other foundation, after removing my makeup, my skin does not feel dry. It does not cause breakouts too. Beautiful dewy finish, I think the finish of this foundation is semi-matte as it does not make my skin look shiny. The consistency is a bit thin, runny, easy to blend. I normally apply this foundation onto my skin using my fingers or my beauty blender. The longevity is incredible, it lasts all day long. It is a good every foundation for work, not too dry, not too oily. Really impressed and would repurchase!

This product is absolutely awesome! It stays on all day and looks flawless. Its cheap and really easy to apply. I always add a powder over top just to make sure it stay on all day, but this product does a great job of what it says on the packaging! I don't find this oily, especially with powder overtop it stays very matte. I would defiantly use this again and recommend it to friends!

I started using this foundation as I wanted an everyday foundation that would last through my whole uni day. Im not sure whether this would actually last the whole 25 hours but it lasts almost flawlessly for 9 hours. I have dry skin and I haven't found this to be drying, and covers acne really well. The foundation is also quite buildable- I use one layer and then usually another around my nose area. However I did not like using the lasting finish primer with this foundation- it dried my face out and the smell of the primer is very off putting.

I brought this because I had been told its an decent day to day wearing foundation, and I have to agree and so does my skin. I apply a light layer with a flat top brush and top with a mineral power and it lasts the day. I am not convinced it would last 25 hours, but i dont think i will be wearing my makeup that long to test it. Will repurchase as my skin has not broken out using this foundation which I am really happy about

I bought this yesterday as a spur of the moment thing. I had run out of my Loreal CC Lumi Magique and wanted something that I could use for work without using up my precious Estee Lauder Double Wear light, but would give me similar coverage and longevity.

Last night, I wore this on my face when I got home. It survived cooking over a gas hob with steam, and it survived an hour of lifting weights at the gym. Not sure if it would last 25 hours, but I've got confidence in it that it would last a full work day at a minimum. I even had some on the back of my hand in the afternoon, did some dishes and it was still there. EDIT: 12 hours later, still looks good!

Coverage is build-able. I wouldn't want to go too full coverage with this as it could look cakey, but its definitely giving the coverage I want and it feels so light weight on the skin. Doesn't feel like I'm wearing foundation at all. Application is easy - I used my fingers and it just glided onto my skin. It wasn't sticky. I got the shade 102 Light Nude and it's the best skin match colour I've come across so far since moving from mineral powder to liquid foundations. Its actually an exact match. Perfect match. Even makes my EL Double Wear Light in 2.0 look a bit dark now!

On the tricky topic of flashback with foundations with SPF in them, I've had some bad experiences so I put myself through the horror of taking a cellphone selfie, with flash, to test this and powdered down with Stay Matte, I had zero flashback. Happy days!

Also, the price. It's now $22.95 from Farmers, but for a workday foundation, I'm really happy with that.

I have recently bought a few Rimmel products and am really impressed! Picked this up as I was looking for a cheaper alternative to Revlon's Colourstay foundation.

I really believe this is a great dupe, consistency is similar as is lasting power.

I found it can appear a bit cakey when first applied so I played around with a couple of methods til I found what worked for me.

Packaging (unlike the above pic :P) is a glass bottle with a pump and red lid. I find one and a half pumps to be plenty!

Only gripe with this is the shade selection was slim, there were only 4 at my local Farmers.

Rimmel Lasting Finish foundation is a great foundation for everyday wear, especially for those on a budget because it's so cheap.

I use it as a day-to-day foundation, and I find it effective as lasting the day, but does not last 25hours. It starts to melt off after about 8 hours. I use the shade 100 ivory. I have oily skin, so I team it with Rimmel Stay Matte powder in translucent.

The plastic bottle is simple (but I believe it now comes in a upstanding glass bottle??), but because it's an upside down style bottle the product can pour out quite quickly. I've also found that sometimes it leaks into the cap while it is closed.

It has a moderately thick consistency. I use a stippling face brush to apply it, giving me a medium to full coverage. This foundation has quite a florally scent, which I don't really appreciate, but it does not deter me from using it. It does not cause my skin to breakout, and my skin is prone to breakouts.

I would recommend this foundation to others as an everyday foundation, but I do not believe that this is a good foundation for a night out as the lasting power is not amazing, and not an entirely full coverage. I would purchase it again if I was to run out, but I wouldn't rush as I have plenty of other foundations to use in the meantime.
