The essano Oil Control Balancing Toner is designed to balance the skin's hydration and oil levels, to be used as the second step in this essano 3 step regime.

I have been using the toner as part of my night time skincare routine. Following cleaning, I applied a little of this toner to my cotton face pad and gently wiped it over the skin. It has a cooling sensation when applied, and the same clean scent of the cleanser.

I'm not too sure if this step in the regime had a dramatic effect on my skin, but it does feel good to apply after the cleanser. Overall my skin has been feeling smooth and more balanced, so perhaps the toner is the secret!

I’ve recently gotten into the idea of implementing a better skin care routine and incorporating toners more regularly. This was a great product to trial and I found the toner very refreshing and light on my skin. Unlike some other toners, it didn’t sting on an sensitive areas so that’s a definite bonus! I didn’t notice any big difference in the size of my pores unfortunately but perhaps with longer continuous use that might improve. Overall, I very much enjoyed this toner and will most likely be purchasing it in the future!

I’ve never used a toner before, so I’m actually not sure what to expect as a result. However, using this as per of the full essano system, it seemed to do a good job.

I do wish the bottle was slightly bigger. After about 2 weeks I’m almost halfway through the bottle. It would also be helpful if the bottle was a bit transparent so you could see how much product was left.

I've had a love/ hate relationship with toners. Some are too harsh, some do nothing. The first thing I noticed about this toner was that it has a short ingredients list of a small handful of effective ingredients. No fillers or harsh additions. Just a few powerful ingredients, which is all anyone needs in a skincare product.

This toner comes in a bottle with a flip top lid, I wish it had a spray top as I prefer to spray toners straight one, but I'm guessing they have a reason for this choice. I love it nonetheless.

The zinc and niacinamide combo in this toner are a winning combination. It has improved my skin tone and texture since I've been using it. It's sold me on good toners at least and I'll be buying this again in the future. I love that it's NZ made as well.

Comes in typical essano brown plastic bottle with pink label so no surprise there. I’m really enjoying this toner so far! It doesn’t leave any slight residual feeling like some toners do, it literally feels like nothing on your skin after drying so I’m loving it. Unsure yet if it’s minimising pores size but skin feels slightly smoother. I haven’t had long to trial after issues with couriers so not 100% whether it’s helping with oil control but I think so. True test will be summer months when oils outta control. Will purchase and use again for right price!

This product was good I used it as the second step in my cleaning regime after using the essano cleanse before bed. It worked well - removing all the left over bits of make up and dirt that there cleanser missed and left my skin feeling refreshed.

Hands down, this is the best oil control toner I have used on my face - and I have used a lot of different brands!

This toner made me a bit hesitant at first as it dried my skin up pretty much instantly after putting it on. But using it along with the moisturizer got rid of that problem. The fact that it dries your skin so quickly definitely helped with the oil control, and this was noticeable after the first use.

The toner had a really nice smell to it, and that stayed on my skin for a good couple of hours after using it. It was sweet, but not overpowering which was important to me since it would be literally under my nose all day.

I love this system so much! It's made such a difference to my skin and has gotten my oil levels on my face right down.

I haven't used a toner in a while, but after using it I realized it reminded me a lot of micellar water in terms of its consistency and takes a similar role in my beauty routine.

The toner comes in a plastic bottle that feel quite thin. And the consistency of the product is like a velvety water.

I don't have oily skin so I didn't feel it targeted excess oil and shine for me, but I could feel the Niacinamide at work and suspect it would be somewhat effective for those who do have oily skin.

For me it left my skin feeling smooth, hydrated and refreshed.

I enjoyed this product as it made my skin feel soft, fresh and seemed to really help keep the shine away. It didn’t dry my skin out like some toners do and you only needed a tiny bit for the whole face. Lovely packaging and an easy to use product. It even had quite a pleasant scent. Overall I really enjoyed it.

I am not a fan of toners. I am quite useless when it comes to following a routine. I am either too busy or can't be bothered. Using this toner I have noticed a difference with my skin. My pores seem smaller and my spots have definitely cleared up. I found that it smelt super nice and using it everyday made a big difference to the appearance of my skin. I am definitely going to buy this product again. Using it with the cleanser and the moisturizer is essential to give me a clean skin look. Its a really pretty bottled and easy to use. I found popping it onto a flannel worked best for me and used it after the cleanser. It was really good because there were numbers on the bottle so even though you could be a beginner the numbers will help! Thanks Beauty Review for the awesome trial :).
