I was lucky enough to be selected as part of the trial team for this product, along with the Pro V Micellar Shampoo and I'm sure glad I did otherwise I probably wouldn't have paid $13 for a 300ml bottle (tight-arse, I know!). Starting with the packaging, it's sleek, it's minimal, it has a salon vibe to it which reflects what's inside the bottle. It's a pump top bottle which is totally up my alley; fast, no mess, and once you know how many pumps you need there's no wastage from an accidental over squeeze! Extra bonus is the bottle is see through so you can see how much product is left without having to do that 'do I need to buy more shampoo' bottle shake! Now - does this Conditioner do what it claims? Absolutely. Like the shampoo, the smell is incredible. Just makes my 10 minutes of kid-free shower time (when they're not barging in) feel like a mini spa/salon treat. The texture is creamy like pretty much every other conditioner I've used but doesn't leave my hair feeling like it's coated in silicon. When I use it I normally leave it on for a couple of minutes but as per directions on the back you don't actually need to leave it on for any amount of time. I just prefer to - probably out of habit than anything else. Also a good time to quickly shave! FYI I have long hair down to the bottom of my ribcage and I use 3 pumps. When washed out it leaves my hair feeling so naturally soft; actually like babies hair and not that plastic'y silicon soft. 10 out of 10!
I loved the bottle as soon as I got it. Its smaller and the pump is really easy to use. I dont get the same feeling of really nice smooth hair after using this and actually have to brush knots out of my hair when I've used this. Once its dry I live it but having to get rid of knots isn't so good. It has a great smell and I would use it again.
Absolutely cannot fault this conditioner at all! Both me and my sister have used it and we’re so happy with how smooth it makes our hair feel! It’s super gentle (no harsh chemicals) and has a pleasant scent too! Would definitely recommend and i’ll be purchasing this once it runs out!
I liked the look of the packaging, does not look crass. Also It comes in a pump that is easy to dispense. The consistency of the conditioner is very light and I needed to use very little. It does not feel greasy and can be used daily. My hair felt quite light, soft and smooth after drying. It definitely gets a tick from me
What I like about this conditioner is silicone free - this is right up my alley when it comes to looking for a preferred regular use conditioner or hair mask. When I read up what is in the conditioner I saw the word dimenthylamine which made me think of dimenthicone which is a silicone. However I was pleasantly suprised to read good things about it in my research dimethylamine has a fishy smell - sounds bad right? I promise this product smells nice though! Dimenthylamine is interestingly described as an "organic" and is not a silicone it is more of a replacement for it. It is similar to silicone in conditioner in the ways of help with the appearance of your hair eg tame static, give frizz control smooth hair cuticle. It provides lubrication and slip to detangle your hair. UNlike silicone, it does not build up in your hair. I have spoken many times in my hair and skin reviews about the negative affects of silicone and build up in your hair. however something else to mention is Stearamidopropyl dimethylamine is what the back of the bottle actually says and the word Stearamidopropyl is a bit off putting because the -propyl ending is reiminiscent of isopropyl alcohol. Alcohol is very drying. - an example is when you use sanitizer or alcohol sanitizer wipes on your hands and find them feeling dry. Yes that is the alcohol. In saying this alcohol is in so many cosmetics and conditioners if not all so I am not saying that this conditioner is bad at all. Apparently Stearamidopropyl dimethylamine is derived from vegetable oil - does not sound drying does it? perhaps this refers the "moisturizing lipids" in the description. lipids are like fat and fat is in oil. Another definition says Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine is "a fatty mine salt" Salt is purifying and adds natural body to hair or enhance your natural curls / waves. The sea salt can help boost circulation of the scalp (if you use the conditioner there) supporting hair growth. Remember too much can be drying so I am unsure really if this truly is "gentle enough for daily use" anyway there is some information about some of what is in this conditioner. I used this several times and liked it. I would consider re buying this. I am not a fan of the pump packaging though I mean you can technically close it but it causes wastage in the process. There were big stickers to attract the customer on the product saying "First ever micellar series conditioner from Pantene revitalizes hair and 0% silicone" this is okay but why did they not just put that on the bottle label?. Long story short though I like this conditioner and would re buy it smells nice too and this is coming from someone that had negative views of Pantene from the start.
Was accepted on this trial thanks to BR. The packaging matches the shampoo, same pale blue circular bottle with pump top. Easy to disperse product. Quite a compact size and fits in my small shower caddy. Lightly scented. Light cream consistency. I have been using about 3 pumps for all of my frizzy, thick long hair.
Even though there was a shorter trial period, I still saw some good results. Quite a moisturising formula, reminded me a bit of a hair mask. I think it's too soon to see any improvement to my hair being stronger but it is definitely softer. With a bit more use I think the results could be even better.
I do like this product but as yet i'm not completely sold on it. I plan to update this review in about a month's time after further use.
I really like the pump bottle! It’s so easy to use in the shower when you have slippery hands. I find that the pump gives out a decent amount of product per pump too.
The smell of the conditioner, like the shampoo, is so good! It’s fresh and reminds me of cucumber and watermelon. My hair smells delicious hours after I’ve washed it too which is good!
The conditioner applies really well to my hair. It doesn’t weigh my hair down either which is a win! It says on the bottle that you can also use it on your roots but I haven’t tried that yet. It definitely makes my hair look healthy and shiny
I was excited to try this shampoo and conditioner combo because I wash my hair a lot as I work out every day (sometimes twice a day). My hair is fine and therefore often flyaway with too much washing and conditioners that leave behind an overly "silky" feel.
The packaging is very elegant and the product looks luxurious and expensive.
The pump action dispenser gives you a set amount which doesn't look like a lot but actually provides quite good coverage. Probably a little more than I need. It smells delicious and leaves your hair feeling smooth and very clean. It doesn't feel like it 'leaves behind' product like some conditioners. My hair feels great using this range. It is definitely less 'flyaway' with this regime.
Tips: Because of the pump action dispenser, this isn't the easiest product to carry around if you shower away from home a lot like I do. I'd recommend getting some travel bottles and filling them up with the Pantene Micellar shampoo and conditioner if you want to use it everywhere.
Purchased as it was on special and sounded interesting. Cleans hear well but didn't see any huge improvement in my hair vs other shampoos. It has a gentle fragrance which is nice and the pump top makes it easy to use, for the price its worth it, but I wont be rushing back.
Tips: A small amount goes a long way
