L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Colour Protect Shampoo Review

I liked this shampoo, it has a great fragrance and hair definitely feels softer after use. I'm a bit dubious around how much help it can really do to coloured hair, or blonde coloured hair in parrticular.But as a shampoo it does it a great job, hair feels and smells nice and clean after use.

I was really excited that I got on the trail for the L'Oréal Colour Protect Shampoo & Conditioner as I get blonde highlights in my hair every 8 weeks or so.

I can't really tell if either product made a difference with protecting my colour, the product may have even slightly darkened the blonde. I’m one of those ladies that washes my hair every day (don’t judge me) so this could have been due to the product building up or overuse?????

The smell is pleasant and my hair was left feeling fresh and clean. You can’t miss the eye catching bright red bottles either.

Chances are I won’t be buying the shampoo again but will continue on with the conditioner as I usually have a tough time with tangles however after using the conditioner my hair was way easier to manage, soft and smooth.

For a supermarket brand this seems to be value for money. It did leave my hair oily though which means more frequent washing which seems to counteract the colour protection element. More frequent washing is not great as far as preserving the colour. I would use it again but prefer the brand I am already using which is a slightly higher price point

I used this product in conjunction with the suitable conditioner.

Both products have resulted in my colour being brighter and more intense. Initially. my hair was shiny and clean looking too and felt fabulously light.

After a few washes however, I seemed to get a build up on my hair which made it dull. Washing with a different shampoo solved that problem and now I am delighted to say my hair is back to looking like a stunning mane (even if I do say so myself)

Firstly I like the packaging it is very eye catching and have noticed it definitely stands out on the supermarket shelf. It has a really yummy fragrance, and my husband has commented several times about how good my hair smells. I found my colour still faded slightly, and wasn't as vibrant as it was when I began the trial, but at the same time it feels very soft, very shiny and knot free. It did unfortunately leave me with a slightly flaky scalp. Overall I found it a good product for the price and definitely something I will be using again.

these came at a good time as have just coloured my hair again. am always looking for a decent shampoo/conditioner. the shampoo is nice, done what it said would do. has a nice smell to it. my hair is shiny and feels soft, best it has been for awhile. thanks :)

Over the years I've tried loads of different colour protecting shampoos, ranging from supermarket cheapies to expensive salon treatments. I dye my hair light ash blonde every month or so, and it has a tendency to go orange, so I was interested to see how this product would go. I was impressed with the shampooing experience, it has a nice soft flowery scent, is easy to get out of the bottle, lathers well and rinses clean with no issues. And my hair seems to be liking it too. After using it about 4-5 times now, my colour still looks nice and natural, not too orange! It has been soft and easy to style, has lasted several days between washes, and my sometimes-sensitive scalp has not been itchy at all. I wouldn't say this product has the intensive blonde-boosting properties of some of the salon purple shampoos I've used in the past, but for the price, I found it really effective and I'd use again.

I thought this shampoo was great! It was good timing to receive this product, as I had just had my hair coloured. I have been using it for 2 weeks now, and the colour has not faded and my hair feels just as good as it did when I left the salon.

I have always had coloured hair so I have tried many different colour shampoos and this is the best I leaves my hair feeling really nice and it has lef it smelling nice as well. Will use again for sure
