I enjoy this scrub, I was gifted it by colleagues and have used it consistently to exfoliate. I always wash with body wash first on a loofa and then go in with the scrub. The citrus scent is gorgeous and fresh, not too feminine so even my partner likes using it. It spreads well on the skin and feels nourishing as it scrubs away dead skin. Great for prepping to tan also!
Tips: Try not to get water in the tub!
I liked this body scrub because i was able to share this with my partner because the fragrance wasn't too girly or too manly. It scrub nicely. I would use a body gel first then use this to scrub the dead skin away. It does say you can use it as a body gel too and can be used on dry skin which could work better. But i only tried it in the shower and it was lovely. I would accept it as a gift again but im not sure if i'd buy this.
Tips: try using it on dry skin, could work better for you
Packaged in a large 330g black screw top tub, the bright electric blue mineral-rich sea salt scrub is packed with goodness, as the sea salt is a natural antiseptic and exfoliant.
Rub Rub Rub can be used in a few different ways; on damp skin for a really gentle scrub, on dry skin for a really good scrub that gets rid of ingrown hairs and dry skin, and you can even use it as a volumising shampoo and scalp scrub.
This salty scrub also contains a dash of lemon juice and the lovely scent of mimosa blossoms, and when it is used on damp skin, or a little water is added after using it on dry skin, it froths slightly to become a delightful shower gel that leaves skin feeling smooth and soft, with a lingering scent that lasts for a while after you've stepped out of the shower.
Being a salt scrub, the consistency does begin to change after the first use, with it becoming thinner and more runny the longer you keep it. Whatever you do, try not to get any water in the tub during use, as this will cause the salt to dissolve a lot quicker. Also, avoid using this scrub on any open wounds, shaving cuts, or freshly waxed skin, as it does sting.
I find it works well to add volume to my naturally fine, limp, oily hair, when a little of the scrub is mixed in with my usual oily hair shampoo.
I'd definitely recommend this scrub, and will be repurchasing it.
Tips: Use it on dry skin for a really good scrub.
I got this scrub in the All the Best Box. I had it on my wishlist and finally managed to get it during Christmas. I love using scrubs to exfoliate my body. I like to this at least once a week.
I got the 45 gram tub . The scrub itself looks like a blue pastey scrub . The scent of this scrub reminds me of lemons and citrus. This scent is lastson me for a few hours.
Application is simple. It's the most gentle scrub I've ever used on my body. I've used a few. The 45 gram lasted me about 4 applications on my body. I definately would buy a large sized pot in the near future. I was pleasantly surprised by how good this was.
I received the 130g pottle as a gift and I must say I love it. Don't let the small size fool you, when used in smaller amounts it lasts forever .
I smell the salt more than the lemon. It reminds me of being at the beach, swimming in the ocean. The rub rub scrub is a wonderful wicked bright blue.
I found it easy to use and scoop out at the start but I noticed the longer I had it, the runnier it seemed to get. I know, I know Its salt it'll eventually dissolve. Bu what I loved most about this scrub was the nice rough feeling it has when using on dry skin instead of wet. I have had trouble in the past getting out ingrown hairs but this scrub really does the trick especially when used regularly.
After my shower my skin felt soft and smooth. I would recommend this to anyone.
This scrub leaves your skin silky and smooth. It buffs away and removes dead skin well. I find this is a gentle exfoliator that's not too harsh on your skin.
The consistency of this scrub is very runny and fluid. I thought it would be thicker like other scrubs I have used. Because of the runny consistency it's quite hard to get out of the tub. If I dip my hand in the scrub will just run right off as soon as I pull It out. I end up having to grab it out with my fingers.
When you rub this on your body it foams up like soap and dissolves on your skin. The colour is a deep electric blue. The smell is minty and fresh.
Overall this is a great body scrub and I would buy this again.
I got a wee sample of this product from lush recently and I managed to get three uses from it. It becme a fast fave so I picked up 2 130g potties online! Xx
I believe they also are avaliable in the 330g potties as well. Inside a delicious lemon zesty smelling BLUE scrub!
The scrub lathers really well in a loather, it's not harsh on the skin and I feel it definitely removes the dry skin, dirt and grime from my skin. It is very slippery! So make sure you rinse off well, but it's something you can live with if you enjoy a good body scrub.
I also tried this in my hair recommended on the pottle, sadly I won't do it again. I thought maybe with a dry scalp it might help remove the dry flakeyness on my scalp. It did the opposite. I had more dandruff and my hair was brittle after use!
I'm in love with this product! I definitely will continue to buy it as a body scrub.
The Lush Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub is zingy, lemony, and the perfect way to wake up in the morning. I love the somewhat thick consistency, and the texture is coarse enough to give a good exfoliation without feeling too rough. The scent is very refreshing, almost menthol-like. My only real critique of this product is that it leaves the skin quite slippery, which can be quite dangerous when using it in the shower.
I got this product due to ingrown hairs in all sorts of places. Persistence is key and no need to overdo it but it worked for me. It also gave such a nice, clean feeling afterwards, which is a bonus.
Tips: Best to use in the shower as it can get messy, but I found if I had too much water it didn’t work as well. So I would lightly wet the part I’m intending to scrub first and then use the product on it.
