I found this to be very dry looking on my combination skin, a nice coverage though and nice texture to apply but I felt like it made my fine lines look deeper and more prominent.

Tips: Possibly okay for an oily skin type
This powder works well over foundation or just by itself due to its coverage. It lasts great and I have no complaints at all. I would 100% use it again
I love pressed powder and this Maybelline version is a great overall base. It’s a nice light coverage but possibly too sheer for those who want a fuller base. Although the packaging says ‘Full Coverage’ I really needed to swipe at least 3 times to get the coverage I wanted. Even better I used a damp sponge and found a better result than a dry one. The compact does come with a sponge but it’s really thin and I found if I replaced it with one of my own that was thicker it wouldn’t fit in the compact! I’d much prefer to forego the mirror than a space for a sponge, for that reason the packaging annoyed me and I may not repurchase. After a full day of wear I did need a bit of a touch up but for a powder this was a nice mattifying formula for me and looked great after using other products like highlighter and blush on top. There was little product transfer on my face mask (I wear one all day at work) which was great and my skin didn’t feel like it was caked on with foundation. Overall a nice inexpensive base.
Tips: Get your own sponge as the one provided is far too thin.
I have found this Maybelline Superstay powder foundation , to be great for setting my BB Cream or my Maybelline Superstay liquid foundation in areas around my face where there is more natural oils. It has a nice coverage and stays in all day with out the need of me reapplying. I found this little gem in the Beauty Review Vault, and l am very happy with my purchase. Compact is easy to open and great to have a makeup sponge and Compact mirror inside as well Great value
Tips: Use as a make up and can be used to set liquid foundation as well .
I have mixed feelings about the Maybelline SuperStay 16hr Powder. I like using this powder to set my foundation because it has a nice matte finish and provides a little extra coverage. I didn't notice any oxidization which is a plus because I've tried plenty of powders that tend to go a bit orange when used over liquid foundation. This one stays true to colour and has a "stiffer" formula that lasts well during the day. I wouldn't say this powder is totally waterproof or sweatproof, unfortunately. The first time I used it, I sprayed my face with Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray, then touched my face before the spray had fully dried and ALL the makeup on that area came right off. It will also completely come off if you happen to have a nap while wearing it and drool on yourself a little (not that this happened to me... ok it did, I'm a sleepy girl). I've also tried using it all over my face as a powder foundation. It claims to have full coverage, and I was able to build it up to a fairly high level of coverage, but it got increasingly cakey the more layers I applied and my skin looked incredibly dry as a result. If you already have great skin and just want to even it out a little, this would look nice on its own but if you have more to hide then this won't quite do it.
Tips: Ditch the sponge applicator that's included in the compact, and use a fluffy brush instead.
I like this powder - it sets foundation and reduces shine through the day. However for me it is just a bit too matte, I felt I had to warm it up a little with some highlighter, which is a bit counterproductive!
It really is heat, sweat and oil proof though and you definitely wont glisten when wearing it!
If super-matte is your vibe, this powder will be perfect for you!
If you have slightly (or very!) oily skin, you're probably a powder girl like me. I HAVE to finish my look with powder, I just can't trust in foundation alone.
This is your standard powder compact, easy to use as it comes complete with sponge. The sponge actually does a great job of applying the powder!
From memory there were 6 shades to choose from, all fairly beige. For me that's not a problem, but I think if you were at the lighter or darker end then it might be a bit of an issue.
I love the finish and combined with the Maybelline Superstay foundation I've been trialing, it gives a flawless makeup look which will not budge for the whole day...and night!
I'm not one for pressed powder after seeing family use them but I gave this one a good go! It definitely lasted all day for me, and looked pretty good on and didn't feel thick or cakey on as I would say.
I really like the matte finish as I don't like looking Shiney so for me a matte finish is a must. The fact its got a mirror and sponge in the compact is a lifesaver as I can pop it in my handbag for after the gym for application etc.
It's one I would purchase again, as I'm getting the hang of using powder again, and using it with my liquid foundation as a touch up is good too.
No reactions with my skin so far either, so will keep using it and see, but definitely quite liking the look of it on my skin. The shade is a perfect match for me too.
Tips: Easily comes off at the end of the day with my micellar water which is good.
I have never really used powder foundations, have always been a liquid user. This powder was a good one to try out, went on easy enough and stayed for most of the day. If you're looking for a powder to try then give this one a go.
I was lucky enough to be picked to review this product. Unfortunately, I chose the wrong shade for my skin so this review will be based on the functionality and whether it did what it says it would and not necessarily how it looked on my skin.Getting the wrong shade was 100% my fault amd no reflection on beauty review or maybelline.
The product comes in a nice little compact disc type shape. It's easy to open and close and as it is mix between liquid and powder, isn't flaky or messy.
The disc is easy to open and close and is simple yet chic looking.
I found the product easy to apply and is smooth and visable enough that you can ensure you are great great coverage.
I have combination skin so found it did cover blemishes but maybe not a much as I would have liked as did have to apply 3 or 4 times on a couple of breakout zones. I am not into the shiny or shimmery look when it comes to foundation so am happy to say that this looks smooth and the finished look would be what I would want from a foundation/powder. I am more of a natural look girl and this gave me that to a certain extent (or would have if I had gotten the right shade).
The maybelline superstay 16 hour powder did last the day and deffinietly is the sweat, heat and oil proof as per its claims. This is a massive bonus for me - I spend a lot of time outdoors and don't always have the closeness of a mirror or a facility to be able to do touch-ups. It's a massive bonus to know that I can rely on the Maybelline Superstay 16 hour powder to take me through the day.
My local maybelline stockist has sold out of this product but I will be buying some (in the right shade), once they are back in stock. I believe it retails for around $30 which is a bargain in my opinion.
